- This is the first deathless run I've done, and my fastest run by 36 seconds! This is an exceptionally good run with the except of Stormrook, Palace 1/2, and Death Field. The ending stages are essentially perfect and the beginning was very strong.
I am ultimately looking for a 41:30 on hard mode before I put it down for good. This is a very good run, but I can do better still. Stay tuned!

I love this game. Modero has such a great backdrop and the music really gives a sense of desperation.

This is my favorite game. It's awesome! I never beated many games but this one I did.
Upon first play, Actraiser 2 seems like one of the most difficult games ever. After you learn how to play however, it's really pretty simple, and really no problem at all. The first thing everyone should know is that diving stabs do more damage than standing there swinging. Just knowing that one thing ought to get you going in the right direction.

I never beat this game when I was younger. Just installed it on my SNES classic and will be attempting to finally mark it off my list.

This game is hard. And also very good. My brother and I use to play this game really good. No deaths in hard. You did it so good that I want to congratulate you. Really good. This is a really good run.

Very impressive run PJ. Is it impossible to one cycle that slug thing at around 39:00? It looks like if you just had 1 more second... Or is its retreat triggered by an HP breakpoint?
+Jeff McIntire It might be TAS-only and/or dependent on good boulder RNG. The current TAS does it, but just barely.
+Jeff McIntire Nah, it isn't possible for a human. I've done 85% of his health before, but I can't kill him in one cycle. The TAS can do it with some REALLY fancy cancels that are not possible for a human, but I am unable to do so. :(

Also, may I ask you the reason you stayed for a while in this place at 20:49? o.O Does it take a while for the blue door to appear or something?
+Bloody Brother Killer Ah, yea good question. You're correct! The blue door appears randomly in one of four locations shortly after the clock reaches 96. I wait at the first possible door location until 96 and then fly to the other 3. It does look a little weird if you don't know that though. :P
+TheSuperSNES I see. When playing this stage back in the day, I used to search for that door aimlessly, so I figured it probably had something to do with it. XD That means, had the door appeared at that first place, you could have saved even more seconds? Neat! ...Or not, depending on your luck. :( (Mine used to suck)
+Bloody Brother Killer That is correct! If it spawned in the first location, this stage would have been ~8 seconds faster. This is one of the biggest time savers possible. The door location in this run was actually the worst possible (4th location out of 4).

BTW I saw your Brandish playthough on the SNES too bad you picked the wrong port of it, all the others version of it have a minimap on the screen which makes the navigation WAY easier and less tedious, there's just no excuse for this game to have taking away the minimap, it's almost unplayable because of it.
The second game on the SNES by Koei again did it right and included a minimap on it so it's a much better game. It also feels much more like a traditionnal rpg, you got towns and stuff so it's not dungeon crawling 100 % of the time. The first game isn't bad by any means but the SNES port is just atrocious.

Nope! Standard North American copy of the game on a standard NA SNES, using a normal SNES controller in real time.

oh man... when i completed actriser 1 it was such an amazing game... then somebody said to me there was an actraiser 2 i was shitting my pants with excitement... then i got the game... and well... i was dissapointed at the very least, its a good game im not complaining but i expected more of that city management thingy that i loved on the first one :c
