So so so glad this is back up. I listened to this all the time in the beginning of 2020 while I was doing homework at 3 am because between working in order to pay bills and being a full time college student, that was the only time I had to study. This mix helped me push through a lot, I would be doing work for hours and have to be in class by 9 am and this would be on loop until I went to sleep. Listening to this makes me smile because even though that was a rough time, I remember that I still got through it. I passed last semester with all A's, made it onto a list of students that was higher than dean's list (really proud of myself tbh), making it my most successful academic year in my entire life. I got through those long nights even though they seemed endless. I worked extra hours and worked so hard to keep up with everything regardless of how much i was struggling. I love this mix, it's my all time favorite and will always remind me of what I can achieve, no matter how difficult things get. Happy listening
@@tombombadil6591 whatever you're going through, you got this. You're gonna come out on top as a much stronger person. It's cliché, but one day you'll wake up and it'll finally feel like everything's gonna be okay. Stay strong, stay safe
Oh my god!!! This is so so so relatable!! Thank youuuuuu!!!! Those long hostel nights when only one lamp is on and you sort of lose track of time, "Oh its 3:30 am already!? Well lets make this an all-nighter then!!"
I’ve been chillin to this for years, and I’ll forget about it for months and every time I remember it exists i get happy. It’s really just such a mood.

Hey, I guess I am logged into my husbands youtube, but I wanted to thank you for this playlist. It has truly changed my life. See I had a hard year . I came from years and years of mental struggles, and the inability to manage stress, I got violent and I made big choices that almost ended my life. Literally and figuratively. Just over a year ago I lost both my children to the system, and my baby was only 6 months. It will forever effect me, and them. But I spent the year learning how to live a happy life. Learn how to apply stress management and find things that draw me away from my anger. I am now a successful mom, wife and human. I live days and weeks and now months without crashing. Yes, what do you mean with the kids, did they get taken into care? And you have them back now? Wishing you universal guidance and ability to make choices in the right way.
Listening to this again reminds me of the those days you spend with friends when you were young and naive, and then times change and it gets to the point where we all have to grow up and focus on ourselves. I truly wish for the best for you all, 21 peace.

wow its been 4 years since this playlist was created and i remember playing this and wander over and over again every time im studying. now im working for over a year and listening to this is bringing back all those memories (the studying til AM, the crying, the giving up etc. haha) and now im back here again, listening to this playlist while reviewing for board exam.
Same here, I listened to this whenever I traveled for the last 4 years. Whenever I hear the first song, it reminds me of all of the roads I've been on and all the sights I saw :D
Such a nice comment :) i remember playing games to this mostly, as well as studying. This was my go to before i discovered lo fi and just listened to lo fi for all of 2016/17 mostly
Love this mixtape more than any I’ve ever listened to. Got it from a friend first and I’ve never looked back. Takes me back to my campus times when I was really going through that phase.
i come back every few years to listen to these playlists again. they were one of the only sources of comfort i had back then. the nostalgia and warmth makes me cry now. thank you so much.
I listen to this playlist frequently, whether it be drawing, cleaning, exercising, or just hanging out playing games or having it as background music. It's the perfect playlist for a day.
in my case it's raining, i can see some trees from my window, it's cold and i'm chilling studying a bit and drinking some hot chocolate and my whole body is covered with several blankets i love it :))
To anyone who's reading this, ITS GOING TO BE OK. I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, and the over thinking, and the doubt exit your mind right now and may clarity and understand replace confusion. I declare peace and calmness to fill your life. I came here after 8 years i missed you timber 😊😊
I used to listen to this mix back in 2016 when I was getting through my tech college for video game design. A lot of hard nights thinking I’d never make it or do anything for myself. But I never gave up. 7 years later I’m sitting in my first apartment as a 31 year old with a job in a virtual reality company doing exactly what I used to do listening to this mix. Life is so good after such a long bad, low time. This mix reminds me of what I went through. It’s so nostalgic and painful in a beautiful way. Like saying hello to an old lover.
in 2019 I went alone on my first overseas holiday - From australia to 23 days travelling europe alone, and this mix was with me the whole way. Love this mix. Love the place it takes me back to.
Khurram Aslam you tell me. I don't want to sound annoying but we're the same. I've been praying for God to take my life and when one of my friend knew, she said harshly i have nothing to be depressed about since i have a loving family, economically stable, etc etc. I only agreed but been desperately trying to fill this, i dunno, emptiness?-ever since. I could only blame myself for feeling this way.
I found this mix in time where I felt like I really needed comfort about 7 years back. Every now and then when i need a sense of comfort i come back here ❤️
Every time I get back into "studying" -- this is the playlist that keeps me there. Learning and focused. This playlist has been in my life since 2016. My senior year of high school into college and now in adulthood.
I've been listening to this playlist for years now and I just can't explain all the memories it brings back. Being able to look back on where I was several years ago compared to where I am now while still being able to listen to these same songs and enjoy them just as much as I did the first time I heard them...makes me overwhelmingly happy.
I played this mix in my truck as I drove to Lake Louise Alberta from BC to attempt my biggest summit to date. Good vibes and even better memories looking back and remembering the successful trip.
Still listening to this 4 years later. And am not sick of it after four years. I listen to it to get my head straight again. After a shitty break up with my child's mother. Brings my mind back down to earth. I swear this song has saved my life on multiple occasions. I just about jumped off a bridge tonight. I was so close to jumping off I could feel myself falling while I was looking down not scared in the slightest just over the pain. Like sky diving but no chute. And then I just started crying hoping someone would drive past just so somebody could report it so my family had a body to do with as they wish. 45 minutes crying nobody. Went to UA-cam to play my final song and this mix was at the top of the list. And here I am 5 hrs later sitting on solid ground smiling and watching families go about there daily lives. Sorry had to vent to this mix. Can't tell anyone else.
I started listening to this mix by the end of 2016. And now, it's 2019 and I'm still coming back to this mix because it feels so nostalgic...just like this mix had seen so much of my life and been through the same experiences as me. Just two words, thank you. To all the artists (I discovered eden thanks to this and been to his concert recently) as well as the person how picked up all those beautiful songs and put them together 🌧️
This playlist helped me get through a tough set of exams in 2016 and it's doing the same for me 5 years later. Crazy how life comes at your full circle - all you got is a playlist to cherish the memories.
Man....idk why but this playlist along with Wander are my comfort playlists, i remember pulling all nighters playing Albion Online while listening to them. Thank you Koala Control
I listened to this song back in 2016. I was at my first year in college, writing at 2 in the morning, seeing everything in the future for me. Now I’m 25, just graduated college and still writing. I haven’t listened to the playlist in years, but I’m glad it’s still here.
This playlist got me through my undergraduate career and some really dark times. I am now in a much lighter and better place in my life and pursuing a master's degree! I will always come back to this playlist and reflect on how much I have grown and learned that if it's not okay and good, it's truly not the end. Keep it chill, friends.
It's four o'clock and all I hear is the pounding of the bass in rhythm with my heart beat and the beating of my chest exhaling as the song reaches the choirs and I inhale as the bass drops all of this helps me calm my anxiety
+vivaglamnadia Do you love bass? Yes?! Then look over on my channel! Here you can find the best songs, the best mixes, the best bass and the best quality of boosting!
We listened to this playlist on repeat when we moved to New Zealand for 9 months a few years ago, and it was on our stereo anytime we went driving, hiking or exploring. We have these tracks now to listen to when we miss that time in our lives. Thanks for this, K.K.!
Chillstep always seems to make me undeniably sad and morose. I can't understand why, but I think it might be the beat itself in combination with the beautiful female vocals that reminds me of loves that I have lost and places that I have never been. I continue to listen to it regardless though...
go to see them! I started it last year with Norway and this winter it is going to be Iceland :) With this music in these beautiful landscapes you truly feel like nothing's gonna bring you down.
this some how automatically some sort of nostalgia.... so many things change since I last listened to it, damn its hard to explain i dont even know if anybody will read this but whatever I mostly write it for myself
Hermione Rose found it way back like a couple years ago this mix has been my thing over the years I always find my way back to it. I went through the initial phase of obsession over it and then moved on but I always find my way back to it.
I remember chillin' with a few good buds trying to hot box a room. I started playing this track basically when it dropped. Very smooth when songs merged too. Just a very very good mix that is still one i turn to.
I listened to this playlist to help me get through all the studying of nursing school. I found myself back here while study to become a nurse anesthetist. I love the feeling of calm and focus that comes over me with this playlist. May I beg for more Koala Kontrol?
Yesterday broke up with my girlfriend... Today I'm listening to this. Damn, the second song Oh Wonder - Without You, touched my heart so hard. I hope this whole playlist will help me to get at least a little better, thanks for this upload!
This popped up again on my recommendations 8years later. First heard in in the first year of campus and I introduced a lot of people to this kind of indie and chill music. I'm so happy this page even popped up again. I've been subbed for a really longtime but weirdly enough never see it in my recommendations or any new posts.
When I first found this mix, I didn't realize it but I was in the process of falling in love for the first time. Now it's bringing quite a lot of soothing feels to my life as I work through falling out of love. I appreciate the emotions brought together in this mix so, so much.
Love is over rated. In my opinion all the joy, great moments and perfect feelings are not worth the amount and level of pain, broken-heartedness, and destroyed your left with when love ends and is gone. Just saying.
I'm late to the game here in 2019 but like this mix is the best I've heard. It is so incredible in the way that it makes your day so much better in a matter of minutes. As soon as I hear without you I am just hyper focus, and feeling good. Amazing! Going to keep listening into the year and beyond! This is good music for a car ride, campfire, walk in the woods, chilling out, late nights, everything!
When I was about sixteen I started listening to Koala Kontrol, specifically the TIMBER & Wander playlist. The high school that I went to provided early college credits for juniors and seniors so I decided I would try getting a couple of credits before graduating high school. Only about a dozen students were in a classroom each period so it was a tiny little space and believe it or not the class took place outside of the main high school building in a single wide trailer. We had the greatest teacher by the name of Mrs. Landon, I remember her curly blonde hair, it was a great look. I loved the class so much I even remember it was my 3rd block/period. Everyday was pretty much great and then I met this one girl by the name of Ashlyn. We worked very hard in the class so we didn’t always get to talk, but we talked when we had the chance. She had a friend too and I don’t remember her name, but I do know they were super mellow and great people. I remember I would wear this black coat when it rained (I looked like a mobster). Well one fine Tuesday (we’ll say Tuesday lol) it was slam pouring and walking into the classroom I was getting the hair out of my face because It was soaked and I have wavy/curly hair. When I sat down she looked at me and said you should be an actor and I said why? She said it was because I gave her actor vibes. I pretended at the time like compliments were no big deal, you know because pride is tough to swallow sometimes. Little did she know that I couldn’t wait to get to class every single day to see her smile and hear her laugh. The joy that resides in each and every single individual from having experiences like such, are sometimes the only reason to be excited about leaving home. Everyday was a challenge, although I seemed like a stone, I was merely weaker than you could imagine. My pride as well as fear, where the only reasons I didn’t engage in lighting that fire. I’m not saying we would’ve ended up together, I’m just telling you my experience. Time went by and eventually we just went our separate ways. The last time I saw her was at a football game and that’s about it. I do wonder if she’s happy and safe, I hope :)). This is one of the many experiences I’ve had. Today, I’ve been with the same person for about four and a half years, but there’s a twist. I recently found out she cheated on me with someone else and my brother, that’s right my own brother. I don’t know what to do, but I can assure you of one thing learn to swallow your pride and be yourself. I wish and pray I could be fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen once again. Trust your intuition, learn how to enjoy life because if my will to live has ever been weak… it’s now. I’m twenty one years old today and I can assure you that if you prioritize anyone who doesn’t prioritize you, you’ll pay a greater price than you can afford. “TIMBER” takes me back to when I was young, wild, free, and happy. I’ve lived the rich and poor life and I can promise you reading this, even if it reaches one person, happiness CAN be in a single wide trailer making 25k a year. Love is not granted with even $150 Billion. Today I have opportunities to make $100k per year or more at twenty one years old, but I’m misery defined in and of itself. Socioeconomic status is unsubstantial. Today’s date is 6/29/2021. Will someone remind me in 5 years that I wrote this? I want to see how much life has changed. Thanks! Sincerely, X
I’ve been spending some time reconnecting with child me, who stayed up so incredibly late during middle school to dream about the future. Now I’m a senior in college and I’ve been digging UA-cam to find all the playlists I listened to. I was so full of hope and determination. I feel that through this music now. Koala Kontrol, reading all these comments I realize how significant you are to all of us ❤️ ty for all of these playlists
For the past 2 years now this has been one of my favorite mixes, and I continually come back to it. Thank you for making a truly beautiful, calming mix ❤

I've been listening to this playlist, wander, backwood and denali for 3 years now. Every time I would sit down to paint or draw, I'd play this and it's just so wonderful and inspiring to me. It also, along with the smell of oil paint, reminds me of rainy days and evenings in my old apartment back home and when I'd sit on the floor and paint for hours and hours. There are so many memories from back then... I wish I was that young and inexperienced again, to just live it all over. Miss that place a lot... This just reminds me of cold, sometimes rainy days when autumn starts and then winter slowly comes... love it!!!

A few years back, I listened to this playlist extensively during a very difficult time in my life. Working a deadend job, missing my people, really dealing with some mental health issues. This playlist spoke to me about better times, and getting to go on a journey to somewhere else physically. It gave me hope to keep walking on into the unknown mists of tomorrow. and now im back here again, listening to this playlist while reviewing for board exam.
Same here, I listened to this whenever I traveled for the last 4 years. Whenever I hear the first song, it reminds me of all of the roads I've been on and all the sights I saw :D
Fuck yeah
BEAUTIFUL COMMENT 😌
Such a nice comment :) i remember playing games to this mostly, as well as studying. This was my go to before i discovered lo fi and just listened to lo fi for all of 2016/17 mostly
Wow same here with timber and wander. Both are masterpiece.
Love this mixtape more than any I’ve ever listened to. Got it from a friend first and I’ve never looked back. Takes me back to my campus times when I was really going through that phase.
Platinum playlist.
I didn't post this...
i come back every few years to listen to these playlists again. they were one of the only sources of comfort i had back then. the nostalgia and warmth makes me cry now. thank you so much.
hugs for you
I listen to this playlist frequently, whether it be drawing, cleaning, exercising, or just hanging out playing games or having it as background music. It's the perfect playlist for a day.
This playlist brings back so many memories. Can’t believe how much life has changed…
absolutely agree🥺
This is one of the truly timeless music playlists on youtube. Listened to this as a boy, listening to this as a man. Thank you, Koala Kontrol.
Cold day. Grey or white sky. Cloudy. Chill. Watching nature trough the window. Coffee or Tea. Like if you’ll like that atmosphere

I’ve had that first song stuck in my head for years and I knew it was from a chill playlist I’m so glad I found it
I used to listen to this mix back in 2016 when I was getting through my tech college for video game design.
Hello :)
Glad to hear you're living the life!
this video came up as an ad for me!! and im glad it did!!!
same here, Suggested videos :D
Yeah but his was an ad, not on the normal suggested videos.
Yeah it was an ad at the beginning of "Pokemon Generations episode 10" of all things. I thought i got the wrong video at first xD

I used to listen to this in 2017 and I was looking for this for so long and now I have FINALLY found it
in 2019 I went alone on my first overseas holiday - From australia to 23 days travelling europe alone, and this mix was with me the whole way. Love this mix. Love the place it takes me back to.
My depression gets worse and worse every day.. but this Mix really helped me to calm my anxiety and to free my mind from bad thoughts. Thank you
Khurram Aslam have you tried nature's sound? Like, sea waves, swift wind, leaves falling or drizzle rain?
Khurram Aslam you tell me. I don't want to sound annoying but we're the same. I've been praying for God to take my life and when one of my friend knew, she said harshly i have nothing to be depressed about since i have a loving family, economically stable, etc etc. I only agreed but been desperately trying to fill this, i dunno, emptiness?-ever since. I could only blame myself for feeling this way.
Khurram Aslam oh, my other friend suggested to meet a psychologist. You've tried it?
kaka tama hey man, if you're upset, I'm here for you💙 we're in this together. :)
Same!
I listened to this mix religiously when I was a freshman in college, 5 years ago.. Now its a total nostalgia trip for me. 🥲
AWESOME

Every now and then when i need a sense of comfort i come back here ❤️
This has made my day 99.9% better. I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon this mix, even if it is 2 years later
Every time I get back into "studying" -- this is the playlist that keeps me there. Learning and focused. This playlist has been in my life since 2016. My senior year of high school into college and now in adulthood.
Same situation XD

Hahaha me too i am always listening to this list❤️
I've been listening to this playlist for years now and I just can't explain all the memories it brings back. Being able to look back on where I was several years ago compared to where I am now while still being able to listen to these same songs and enjoy them just as much as I did the first time I heard them...makes me overwhelmingly happy.
i love how songs remind me of specific phases in my life. i reflect and i give thanks to music makers.
Praying for you friend. I'm sorry you hurt.
I am very happy you are alive my friend. You are loved.
الله يهديك. الحمدلله على السلامة.
I've been listening to this playlist every night for almost 6 years now. It's the only thing that helps me relax and fall asleep deeply. Thank you.
5yrs and i still think this playlist is one of the best and i still listen to it
This makes me feel like i'm in heaven
Allright then. :D

Thank you Koala Control
same man, so nostalgic
This makes my heart feel at peace. This is exactly what I needed

We listened to this playlist on repeat when we moved to New Zealand for 9 months a few years ago, and it was on our stereo anytime we went driving, hiking or exploring.
We have these tracks now to listen to when we miss that time in our lives. Thanks for this, K.K.!
I come back here to thank you. You helped me develop my taste in music. Without this playlist, I would have never found lauv and vallis alps
glad to have helped you discover your fave artists!
had the same feeling. may i know these consider what type of music?
Chillstep always seems to make me undeniably sad and morose. I can't understand why, but I think it might be the beat itself in combination with the beautiful female vocals that reminds me of loves that I have lost and places that I have never been. I continue to listen to it regardless though...
so true.
this comment is what i've been trying to explain to myself thank you
go to see them! I started it last year with Norway and this winter it is going to be Iceland :) With this music in these beautiful landscapes you truly feel like nothing's gonna bring you down.
threevisionsgodpark I feel you, I feel it currently with my boyfriend

this some how automatically some sort of nostalgia.... so many things change since I last listened to it, damn its hard to explain i dont even know if anybody will read this but whatever I mostly write it for myself
I knooww, all of Koalas chill mixes, especially this one give me nostalgia I've never felt before with anything, and i love it.
I wish I can go back to those nostaglic times❤

Hermione Rose found it way back like a couple years ago this mix has been my thing over the years I always find my way back to it. I went through the initial phase of obsession over it and then moved on but I always find my way back to it.
I remember chillin' with a few good buds trying to hot box a room. I started playing this track basically when it dropped. Very smooth when songs merged too. Just a very very good mix that is still one i turn to.
How long does the happiness last?

I listened to this playlist to help me get through all the studying of nursing school. I found myself back here while study to become a nurse anesthetist. I love the feeling of calm and focus that comes over me with this playlist. May I beg for more Koala Kontrol?
As i come back to this mix every year for the past 8 years , i get a feeling. A feeling i miss when i was young.
Yesterday broke up with my girlfriend... Today I'm listening to this. Damn, the second song Oh Wonder - Without You, touched my heart so hard. I hope this whole playlist will help me to get at least a little better, thanks for this upload!
Ur not alone
=)
oh man. is there an update yet? you okay?
This name expalin your sadness...playboy! :D
Ohh thanks for the warning man. I listened to the song after my first breakup and now I'll make sure I skip it before I think about her.
Still listening to this in 2019! Literally my favorite mix. I remember staying up for all the all-nighters studying. Wow such great soothing memories!
Christine Aguila . Good point. I didn’t know how to gather together chilln’ from billions of songs. Good memories of chill.
Wander and Timber single handedly got me through university. So nostalgic to listen to now.
I'm late to the game here in 2019 but like this mix is the best I've heard. It is so incredible in the way that it makes your day so much better in a matter of minutes. As soon as I hear without you I am just hyper focus, and feeling good. Amazing! Going to keep listening into the year and beyond! This is good music for a car ride, campfire, walk in the woods, chilling out, late nights, everything!
there's more, everything i've found linked and from this place has been beauty.
Good to be back listening to this; I've listened numerous playlists, but this tops everything.
Timber and Wander is my favorites. Much thanks to Koala Kontrol, i found here new my favorite song and discovered many new music. again Thanks :)
same here... Timber and Wander are the best!

Thanks!
Sincerely,
X
much love man, I hope things get better soon
Awesome mix! I use it with my students in the classroom. Many of them have asked me about the songs and said they liked it. Good job, Koala Kontrol.

That's dope. What subject do you teach? ❤

This just reminds me of cold, sometimes rainy days when autumn starts and then winter slowly comes... love it!!!
I’m really in deep depression rn and this mix is keeping me calm and giving me a better feeling
