A road with no intentional destination is one of the most liberating feelings. Years ago, I hit my breaking point when I graduated with my PhD. 'Friends' that were more emotional baggage and drama than human connection. Family with all of their obligations and expectations. A decade of confining myself to a computer chair to finish school which I really didn't want to do anyways. It felt like I was slowly drowning in mud and every step forward was a massive effort to drag all this baggage wit me. Exhausting. The day after I graduated, I quit my job and drove away without telling anyone and with no idea where I was going. Just me, my dog, and a full truck going anywhere. I treasure those months and I learned a lot about myself, especially how to be okay taking up space, having boundaries, and living life on my terms, no one else's. Thank you for all these playlists that bring back the best parts of my life.
I love your story and how it births so much insight to liberation and freedom without rebellion. I stumbled up these playlists while living in an RV the past 5 months with my husband, 2 dogs and 3 cats. Not sure I can ever exchange this simplified lifestyle surrounded by subtle sounds of nature and return back to the degree required pressure positions either. Living the best of life unpacking and purging and like you, how to be "okay" taking up space while strengthening boundaries.
Very powerful message, fellow human being. I am only turning 22 in a few days but that's how I have felt over the past 1-2 years. A few years ago I moved to another country for "better opportunities" because I had believed that finishing a university abroad would provide me with some. At first, it seemed that I enjoyed it and saw my "destination" very clearly, almost like laser focus that my friends and family admired. But the past 1-2 years, it has been indeed exhausting to keep up with all of it. I realized that because of my countless attempts to confine myself as hard as possible, I started slowly turning into one of those mean "successful" people whose approach to human connection I despise. Like that thing called "work networking". And it seems that society expects of me to be like that in order to function properly. But at the same time, I don't think I want to become one, which perfectly sums up my recent conclusion: "if all these lies and constant pressure is how society moves forward, then I choose to exit this game and to 'get stuck' ". Unfortunately, I don't know if I have an equal alternative at the moment. So I am likely yet to graduate. But I have recently made a statement to myself that I am not wasting my university years following others' terms. I will try to experience real life more to see for myself that it does not have to be only about strict paths. And if I end up going off track, it is just not the end of my life but a new adventure to be yet explored.
Listening to this music gives me the same feeling as riding my motorcycle through the forest, smelling the pine trees, breathing the fresh air, the sun flickering between the trees, letting the breeze wash away the burdens.... Peace, its hard to come by.
With God there is eternal peace :) He will carry your burdens on His shoulders if you let Him. He has unimaginable love for you despite your imperfections ❤❤
I am a barista in the city, working every day in a bustling coffee shop. Lately, due to the hectic life and endless orders, I have been feeling exhausted. One day, I happened to hear this song, and its melody instantly captivated me, as if it injected a bit of calm into my soul. I love every note of this song; it allows me to find a piece of tranquility amidst the busyness. Late at night, I put on my headphones and savor the melody, thanking you for bringing such beautiful music that allows me to find a moment of peace.
To whoever is reading this, I hope your pain and worries lessen. May your dark thoughts, overthinking, and doubts be gone. Let clarity replace confusion, and may peace and calmness embrace you. 🌼💖
To anyone taking this challenge, we're both in it, so don't give up. When you feel like giving up and can't go on anymore, tell yourself "look how far I've come, I can continue to achieve my goals" we all work together overcome difficulties and difficulties.

Thank you so much Alex and Beth for sharing WORRYWORRY in this playlist. He's such a phenomenal talent and an absolute angel to work with. Anyone reading this, I really urge you to check out WORRY's video 'i'm not ready for this...' We really believe that one beautiful song can change the World and we're pouring everything into bringing the music of our artists to the World at large. Taking the 'Road to Nowhere' and hoping my GPS has a sense of humor today! Maybe I'll finally find that hidden coffee shop at the end of the universe. 🌌☕
Perfect... subaru all packed up... general direction in mind but destination unknown... a yearly exodus from the mundane. Refills my Spirit... and the memories of whats to come will feed me the year through ~
A poem I wrote just about this very thing... "Driving Nowhere" It’s about getting in the car, no set destination, Just me and the wheel, lost in contemplation. I play my favorite songs, trying to feel, The road stretches ahead, it all seems so real. Familiar roads I take, but I turn down new, Waiting for the wonders, waiting for the view. The longer I drive, the further I go, Worries start to surface, the truth begins to show. I can’t escape my problems, they ride along with me, But I keep on driving, hoping to be free. I stop to stretch my legs, breathe in the fresh air, No one knows where I am, and I love the feeling there. Sometimes I chat with myself, like my conscience at play, His voice whispers softly, guiding me along the way. The day starts to fade, I know I must go home, But this drive to somewhere, has helped me roam. And as the sun sets low, the road begins to glow, I feel a little clearer, my burdens start to slow. With each mile I traveled, the shadows turn to light, The way back home is welcoming and bright. Driving nowhere, the road feels like my friend, On this path of self-discovery, the journey never ends. Driving nowhere, embracing the unknown, Finding peace within the ride, I finally feel at home.
One day, I will be able to reach my dreams of travelling the world, and i will go back to this video and listen to these songs along the way. I will look back at this moment when im writing this comment and that will make every journey more worthwhile.
I usually listen to something only instrumental while doing work because I thought something with voices would be too distracting. But this playlist is awesome! The voices are super relaxing and so is the instrumental part. This is so relaxing and mood boosting. This is really good to listen while studying or working with my school works! It really sets up the mood, pushing you to be productive. Thank you so much!!
I love these song, it's so relaxe. I belive all persons here who have sweets hearts. I want to wish you happinnes everyday, health and love of your life.
I had just started on a small road trip and was looking for the perfect playlist when I noticed that u had posted a new playlist. Ur playlist very often make my day happy. Pls continue ur great work.❤❤❤
I just bumped into this playlist, ‘Road to nowhere’ is the best way to describe myself apparently. I spent two years working upon a Christmas book, I finished it a few months ago and all along I have been opening my rejection letters from publishers and film companies, I wish I knew that it was a ‘road to no where’ I wouldn’t have given this book two years. My alarm was set to 0400 till the end of the book, didn’t go to parties, buried my teenage anxieties just to head on a road to no where, I won’t give up, I will keep opening my rejection letters and e-mails I know I might have grown my dreams so tall, I’m not ready to cut them down. Soon it will be a ‘road to somewhere’ I will keep searching for the green pastures to lay down my book and I. It hurt so much.
I was listening to "love is a dark comedy" through my earbuds when i hear this knocking sound....at first i thought it was someone in the other room (except i am alone!) and when it happened again I thought my cat was knocking things off the shelf! But it was the song!!
Es una hermosa lista de reproducción para esta mañana en la que apenas se asoma la silueta del cuerpo del sol por las grises nubes del cielo, qué frío, qué hermoso.
Emery Duncan that was a pretty song. I havnt listened to much other than the breeze and my old cds for the last 14 years - my god in the last few months I have heard hundreds [that i never knew about ... wow- addicted youtube, it's abit creepy how accurate some of your lyric choices are
For your next Indie/Folk/Alt playlist, you should add music from the band Kindred Valley. They make incredible music that would be perfect for a playlist like this.
To everyone who reads this, I wish for your struggles and stresses to ease. May your dark thoughts, overthinking, and doubts vanish. Let clarity replace confusion, and may peace and serenity surround you.

A poem I wrote just about this very thing...
"Driving Nowhere"
It’s about getting in the car, no set destination,
Just me and the wheel, lost in contemplation.
I play my favorite songs, trying to feel,
The road stretches ahead, it all seems so real.
Familiar roads I take, but I turn down new,
Waiting for the wonders, waiting for the view.
The longer I drive, the further I go,
Worries start to surface, the truth begins to show.
I can’t escape my problems, they ride along with me,
But I keep on driving, hoping to be free.
I stop to stretch my legs, breathe in the fresh air,
No one knows where I am, and I love the feeling there.
Sometimes I chat with myself, like my conscience at play,
His voice whispers softly, guiding me along the way.
The day starts to fade, I know I must go home,
But this drive to somewhere, has helped me roam.
And as the sun sets low, the road begins to glow,
I feel a little clearer, my burdens start to slow.
With each mile I traveled, the shadows turn to light,
The way back home is welcoming and bright.
Driving nowhere, the road feels like my friend,
On this path of self-discovery, the journey never ends.
Driving nowhere, embracing the unknown,
Finding peace within the ride, I finally feel at home.
