The way this coda builds up is fucking phenomenal. The energy in it. The emotion. Everything is perfect. My favourite coda in all of his ballades. My favourite ballade in general 😉
@@ですAvin like he said, it brings a piece to an end, it can be very complex, like this one, or just slightly different like the little codetta for Rach’s Prelude in G minor
I imagine this is what Zimerman would see when performing it till they come to the end, the colour inverts, and they realise that it was just sheet music. Incredible editing!
this is what Lang Lang sees because he has a special medical condition (i forgot what) which assosiates color with music so he's basically in a trance while playing
I am a beginner piano enthusiast, who deeply admire Chopin's work. I love his ballades, but because those are so advanced, i have not even bothered to take a look at the music sheet. Watching this video made me realize many details i had not heard before in this coda. Thanks :D
The ending in normal colors feels like we’ve just finished this long drug trip and the whole time we were really just reading the normal sheet music, just imagining all the colors and edits while listening to the piece 😆😆
I have always imagined the repeated motif in ballade no.3 to represent falling in love after ballroom dancing, losing them, and this piece is the reminiscence of your time together.
My favorite Ballade!! 👀 great to see this in your hands hehe Love everything about this... the background for the triumphant part, the "writing out" of the Italian words for emphasis, really great thing to behold :)
Dude I was hyped for this upload for a month! Ever since you posted the Ballade No. 3 photo on the community page thingy, I got excited, this is the most amazing Ballade imo. Keep it up❤ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."❤
i watched your video about 1 month ago. When I listened to that romantic part in your video, where it moves from C sharp minor to A flat major, I realized how beautiful it was. I had a friend who played this piece at the music school I went to. I was going to ask him to play this piece live for me (only for that final part), but for certain reasons he couldn't come to school for a few weeks. That's why I didn't have the opportunity to listen live. While these events were happening, we also learned that there was an international piano competition, and we were going to participate with that friend of mine. Somehow we made it through to the final round. The juries gave us a certain period of time and we started to choose works suitable for this period. The friend I mentioned was going to play Chopin's second scherzo in B flat minor. They asked me to give a performance of 7 to 8 minutes. But there was not a piece I knew that was 7 minutes long. We were planning to learn a new piece and we had about 2 months ahead of us. We had two options in mind, ballade 2 or ballade 3. I probably would have chosen ballade 2 if I hadn't watched your video, but the only thing on my mind at that moment was to listen to ballade 3 live. So I said, why don't I play? I started working immediately, and exactly 1 month later, I finished the work completely. Of course, there were technical difficulties. I'm still working on it right now. I have about 3 or 2 weeks left. In short, thank you for being an inspiration to me and for managing to impress me.
This actually reminds me of Sayedur's (I don't know if I spelled that right) animation; the same coda, but somehow this just felt different in the essence of how this is animated. Well done!
@@yucatron76(I think) with jazz you add a bit of notes that are close to each other (accidents) and that Chopin has accidents in this piece. But with all that, Chopin did not create jazz
The 3rd ballade definitely underrated, love this.
It’s the best one ❤
Underrated? It's probably the most played.
Absolutely not overrated
I would say that the 1st one is way more popular, even the 4th one
@@erika6651Well that’s largely true because it is the easiest one. Among concert pianists the first and the last are easily more popular
ending with the white background and black notes is so cool after white notes the whole time... 10/10
It's like coming back to reality, seeing the black and white keys after all the colors.
This is the best interpretation of this ballade, Zimerman is the pure definition of perfection.
I do it
boring interpretation

ending of a piece

No one tops the ballade coda's, they're simply the best in all music.
Honestly thé 4 ballades are some of the 4 best piece of music ever including every music ever written pop to stone age

So damn beautiful it hurts. Chopin was a magnificent poet.
Awesome visuals and, of course, awesome choice of recording ;)
Beautiful ... And now the 2nd Ballade
I have always imagined the repeated motif in ballade no.3 to represent falling in love after ballroom dancing, losing them, and this piece is the reminiscence of your time together.
Splendid video, The timing is insane!! I'm actually learning this piece rn I want to try and incorporate into my end of semester recital.
Underrated, thanks for upload.
Loved the end when you switched back to b&w !
The most beautiful coda❤
0:15 I adore this passage following the molto crescendo❤
Incredibly wonderful. I want more of theseeeee
Wonderful piece. Third best coda behind the Barcarolle and Polonaise Fantasy. 🔥🔥
Great piece and amazing editing
Bro every time I hear this part in this coda, I laugh every time on how great it is.
Absolutely loving this format. Keep it up!
Great video, waiting for ballade no. 2 !!
Wow, just magical bravo!!!
Excellent timing, I've been obsessed with this exact coda for the last week
I've never seen anything like this! It was amazing, thank you for sharing!
currently working on this piece… epic coda but those jumps are brutal for me as an intermediate-advanced piano student
Gorgeous

Thank you. A lot of these choices comes from Sayeedur’s original vid of this coda
