both the Tungnath Ji temple and the Badrinath Ji temple are closed for pilgrims during the winter season, which lasts from October or November to April or May. The exact dates of their opening and closing are announced by the temple authorities on Basant Panchami, a festival that marks the arrival of spring. Therefore, you will not be able to visit these temples during your planned trip. In 2024, the Badrinath Temple is expected to open on April 27th at 07:10 AM and will tentatively close on November 21st. The Tungnath Ji yatra usually begins around 20th of May and the gates of Tungnath close around 5-6 November.
However, you can still enjoy the scenic beauty of Auli and its surroundings by taking a helicopter tour or a road trip. You can also explore other attractions such as Vasudhara Falls, Bheem Pul, Mana Village, etc. You can find some tour packages for Auli here.

So, there’s less chance of snow in December than in January or February. But, sometimes it does snow in December. If you want to see snow, try going in January or February. But, you might still see snow in December, especially in higher places.

The good news is that this year in 2023, there was snowfall in Nainital on 14 January, in 2022 it snowed in December itself! Therefore, chances are high that you may get to see snowfall in these places in January 2024! However, do stay updated with the news!

अविनाश जी 3 दिसंबर को चोपता में बर्फबारी होगी या नहीं, यह अभी तो निश्चित रूप से कहना मुश्किल है। उत्तराखंड के पिथौरागढ जिले में 17 अक्टूबर को मौसम की पहली बर्फबारी हो गई है। चोपता में आमतौर पर जनवरी से मार्च तक सबसे भारी बर्फबारी होती है।
