Can you set the mirror to default to the rear camera on start up? Or even default to double screen rear camera and cabin camera on start up?

Hi Alex, i believe Thinkware has launched their latest dashcam - the Thinkware U3000.
I am interested in it but was confused on how to proceed with certain features. Maybe you could help me out here.
1) Is it better to buy the powercell 8 battery along with the U3000 dashcam or would the OBD cable suffice for parking mode feature in order to avoid the car battery drain out?
2) How can I view the LIVE remote view through the Thinkware connected app by connecting to the internet/wifi when the car is switched off and I am at home?
3) Do i need to connect a USB internet dongle in the car 24 hours a day to view the above LIVE remote view? If yes, will the USB internet dongle get heated up?
4) If the above is no, then how to have internet in the car 24/7 if I want to see remote LIVE view when the car is switched off and im far away from my car?

Thanks for the link, however, that remote view connection is done through cloud services but with the U3000 it is done through the connected app. So therefore, my questions related to point 2, 3 and 4 still remain unanswered while for question 1, I believe you will be in a position to answer that when you do the review of the U3000. Let me try and rephrase the questions.
1) If I want to view LIVE remote view of my car and have a dash cam that supports wifi, how to install an internet connection in the car when the car is switched off and I am at home? When I'm in the car, I can do this with my mobile phone internet hotspot but how to do it when I'm far away?.
2) Do i need to connect a USB internet dongle in the car 24 hours a day to view the LIVE remote view? If yes, will the USB internet dongle get heated up and is it dangerous to leave a USB plugged in the car all night?
4) If the above is no, then how to have internet in the car 24/7 if I want to see remote LIVE view when the car is switched off and im far away from my car? Is there any other way to have internet in the car 24/7?

@@terencerodrigues6018 Hi Terence! Both the U300 and the Q800Pro connect to the cloud via the internet. The App is used (by both dash cams) to connect to the cloud which in turn gives you access to the dash cam. Regarding using a Wifi enabled dash cam to remote live view, it's not possible since, most Wifi enabled dash cams will turn off the Wifi everytime the Dash cam is turned off. Regarding how to connect the dash cam to the internet, I also cover this in the prior video I linked earlier, there are several ways to do this, one would be to connect the dash cam to the car's hot spot or to connect the dash cam to a personal hot spot etc (on a side not the U3000 is looking quite impressive, plenty of goodies included in box and the video quality is looking great too, stay tuned for that review). Optional mounting brackets 40 dollars? I was considering the 360 camera but seeing that makes me trying everything is badly priced. I have no problem expending a lot on a worthy camera, but not with rip offs for no reason
Hi M M! The 360 View can be used with the included strap mountings. The direct fit kit is optional for those that want that option (the 360View was packaged by Rydeen without the options that not all folks need or want to keep the price as low as possible in comparison to it's big brother the Tombo 360X).
