Excatly. I've been watching you guys for years. As a 44 year old father and husband, you guys have motivated me to keep going to the gym. Stay natural. Who cares what other people think. You guys work hard and are in great shape. Keep it up dude.
@@SaberCodeRed I'm 41 and a single father of 2 teens, have cauda equina syndrome and these guys motivate me to push through the pain and work hard to get healthier and look better. I can't do cardio and only a little bit of legs, so I have a little bit of a belly, not much like maybe 1lb of fat or so while I look better everywhere else, but whenever I see a Buff Dudes video or wear the buff dad shirt, it motivates me to push through and be better.
@@buffdudeswas your libido affected when u was at your 300 total versus your 500 total? Don't forget your insulin and A1c are directly related to your total testosterone ! Maybe u can donate video on that ..thanks
Thanks for all the great content Buff dudes! When I decided to quit meth on Jan. 4, 2021 and focus on my health, you guys were my go to for fitness related content. From building gyms with concrete or wood to trying all the horrible fad diets, everything has been A1. Sometimes I do get demotivated from working out, but then I remember how shitty life was on drugs and realize the pump is my new drug. Hudson, quitting alcohol is such an accomplishment these days and I hope you stay strong with it brother!!You guys are fucking awesome and we are blessed to have content creators like you guys. God bless you and your families!!
Victor, huge congratulations getting past that hurdle in your life, that's amazing. And I'm glad you found us!! Thanks for the motivational words. Sometimes I think that's what we all need to hear to remind ourselves of what's really important in life. Have an awesome weekend. 💪😎
Being natural does matter. It matters to me. I'm glad that the two of you are natural. You say you are and I believe you. It is really great to see a successful UA-cam channel in this industry run by people who are natural. You are natural and making it. You are the example to the rest of us who want to be natural of what we could look like. You and your brothers physiques are my end goal. I think many people who think you two aren't natural are simply jealous. They themselves are natural and their bodies don't look like yours, so they think "that other guy must be on gear". Stay strong, don't go over to the dark side. Stay natural, stay buff, stay awesome! Thank you for everything you do.
Came across y’all’s video when I was 20 or so for overall health and entertainment. I’m 33 this year and it warms my heart to know you guys are still making videos and remain two genuine blokes throughout the journey. Never change dudes 💪
Keep Fighting the Good Fight MATE! Too many people have taken the path of least resistance it's in human nature. I want my sons to have a natural athlete to look towards too for obvious reasons and you are one of them.
And if not natural, in worst case they won't have any kind of athlete or person there to look up to. Only a tombstone. The heart problems associated with steroids is no joke. First symptom is often sudden death.
Is this a joke? Getting on TRT is by no means steroids. It’s literal purpose to make people get to a normal level of test, thousands of old guys are on it. Why would he not do this when it can improve his health?
Thanks for staying Natty. The fitness industry has changed a lot and it feels more plasticky and fake. Of course, if you guys ever need TRT, you could take it without losing fans like me. However, individuals like you, Brandan, Jeff Nippard, and Vitruvian Physique are huge sources of motivation and inspiration for people who don’t want to use gear and potentially risk their endocrine systems. I really appreciate you all emphasizing that it’s the basics that make the biggest difference. Even people like me, who are studying to be trainers or bodybuilders, still fall for fads that claim to have the secret. And I really appreciate the creative ways you guys make the basics fun and entertaining, because the basics aren't sexiest thing, but they are what works.
Thanks so much! And i agree, it's so easy to get caught up in thinking a new fad could possibly be a shortcut, even though there's so much history showing the basics are what work best. But I guess that's the true test of will!
buff dudes, never change. i may not be a bodybuilder man looking to stay natty or start "juicing" (?). i'm a small person just looking to maintain strength for my health. and that's what i love about buff dudes. you mention how your core message hasn't really changed in the last 12 years and by gods, it laid the foundation for how i stay fit today. i am so glad i stumbled upon YOUR channel FIRST before any other fitness channel. you guys taught me so much about staying fit and healthy while cutting out the "need to fit in, need to be a trend, need to be thinner" energy. because your messaging is so simple and applicable, i have no qualms tuning into your videos regardless of where i am in my life. i've watched since i was in college and i'm now entering my 30s. been staying buff thanks to y'all.
Hudson. Brandon. I hope you can see this comment. I’m sitting here in the massage chair at my gym after wrapping up my last upper body workout from your 12 week bulking book. The past 12 weeks have been some of the worst in my life. My job was horrible. My relationship with my friends and family was bad. But the one thing that was consistent and great was my workouts. Because it was all written out for me, I pushed myself to be consistent no matter how bad the rest of my day was. I couldn’t skip, because that would be breaking the program, and you guys motivate me so much that I couldn’t disappoint you. And the program WORKS. 12 weeks straight of the most difficult workouts I’ve ever experienced. I completely underestimated the program, and walked into Day 1 overconfident. “It’s the first day, how hard can it be?” It kicked my ass. Literally. My body feels incredible. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. I grew in size, and most importantly I grew mentally. I will use what I learned these past 12 weeks in my workouts for the rest of my life. So thank you. Thank you for this channel. Thank you for your programs. Thank you for your honesty. Stay natty. Stay buff.
Don't hop on the gear. Young people need to see that good results are attainable naturally, and those older should start focusing on longevity and overall health. Stay Buff
Two hundred points in 90 days sounds like a really good improvement, especially with such simple habits; makes me feel more secure in the habits I’ve been implementing to raise mine as I age
I love that you guys are nattys. I watch you because you guys are fun, but also REAL. All the work you've put into this channel and your lifestyle is one reason I am still around. You won't ever be as big as the people who juice, but that means nothing when the quality of work and your body limits are peaked on actual work and not getting assistance from chemicals. My thoughts anyways.
Hi buff dudes! I’m a 45 yo father of 3 and been working out and natty my all life. I just wanna say I can relate to youre thoughts and it makes me worries for my kids. Thank tou for producing such a high quality and fun content.
Another incredible commitment journey from the Buff Dudes. Love the transparency and learnings you guys share through your challenges, good shit! I agree with you re no the drinking as well, I haven't had a drink for 7 months and I'm sleeping like a baby. Stay buff.
You are particularly motivating not only because you are natural, but because you're a father and still manage to maintain and improve. I don't think gear is necessarily "bad" as long as you understand the impact it can have and you've "maxed out" naturally. That being said I'm not sure what maxed out means, but looking at buff duke I think you have a little ways to go yet! Thanks to both of you for being inspirations and... Stay Buff!
nothing wrong with being on testosterone if you need it. What we need is more people telling the thruth, not more or less natties, thats a personal decision and everyone should respect it.
When you think of it, there is really no reason to use steroids if you want to push yourself to the limit. Only if you have to compete with other roid users in a competition or for actual medical reasons.
@@robin-comments bro, needing is relative, do we need to smoke, do we need to drink alcohol? do we need to do X or Y? People can use steroids for any reason, no need to compete. Its the same with beauty operations, enlarging breasts or your d*ck, are those only for famous people or actors? I don't get your point... (and those have way more risk than using steroids) Anyone should be free to do to their body, we need more education about good and bads, risk mitigation etc. People will do it anyways, legal or not, so we should teach the best way and getting them actual pharma stuff not undergound. Im actually on TRT.
People who are juiced and don't say that they are, while being on a major platform, create an unattainable fantasy that the new guy can't help but compare themselves to. Your genuine lifestyle and cycle is inspiring. It helps me and others who are following along, trying to keep up, or just beginning. I think enhancements should be left to people who need it to attain a specific physique as a movie character, or under extreme supervision for specific goals. Your channel is about understanding food and fitness, not a magazine cover. Keep up the hard work, great editing, and great habits you have built.
Been lifting for 20 years natty, you guys are an inspiration for guys like me to stay that way. Although tempting, i would say to hold off as long as possible. There will come a point in time when the pros outweigh the cons. Thats when you jump on.
I started testosterone at 58 years old and once I started it I wish I had started it 10 years sooner. Most people unfortunately assume if you get on testosterone replacement therapy you magically get lean, healthy, fit and strong, which is completely untrue. When you are doing therapeutic doses under a doctor supervision if you are fat and unhealthy when you start testosterone, you remain fat and unhealthy. What I find to be the major benefit testosterone is the improved mood, energy and neurological function, as far as changing my body it did not do much.
I love the BUFF dudes BECAUSE you’re natural. Your videos are entertaining and you guys are GOOD DUDES! Being natural matters to me. Which is why I don’t pay attention or watch videos of guys who aren’t natural because I can’t relate to them. And their results have to be taken with a grain of salt because it doesn’t apply to me. Keep on being your usual selves and I’ll till be subbed!
An objective opinion on this channel: the best out there in terms of content, creativity, guidance and more. I see a lot of videos slipping past my feed and I never have the urge the watch, unless it's a Buff Dudes video. Really helped me out on my own fitness journey, although I'm still not close to where I want to be at. Anyways, thanks guys!
I started to use TRT, not because I wanted to get bigger muscle wise, I just wanted to feel good and. Not tired 24/7. I'm in my 40s and I haven't done anything like TRT before, but when I start to feel always tired, no sexual desires, feeling weak. I went to check my T level, it was around 280. I've tried everything, such as sleep, food and even supplements, but still wasn't feeling any big changes. So therefore I decided to get on TRT, and it changed my life in terms of the quality of life, I don't feel tired, don't feel weak and my sexual desires is back again. But I only do 100mg a week and my T level stays around 700 and I'm happy with that. I don't want to increase the dosage just so I can have bigger muscle and stuff. I'm just trying to stay at healthy level to feel good. That's my story. So I honestly don't think it's bad to get TRT if you absolutely need it. TRT is natural hormone that our body produces, but in cases like myself when we don't produce enough of it. So I decided just to do it and feel good.
Yeah it's an obvious choice. I do hope people keep in mind what they felt like before and not be so arrogant once the effects kick in. Because there was a time when they also were tired and weak.
I'm 47 and in the same boat. I've been taking the same amount for 2.5 years, but since I do run 3-4 times a week and strength train 4 times a week, my total levels hover around 900-1000. It's the Free T level that is the most important though. Mine is 202, which is within the right range.
STAY NATTY. You guys are the best natural fitness channel. Lean into the fact you're still natural since it's such a rare commodity now. I ignore any advice from enhanced people, assuming what works for them probably won't work for me. It's a whole different game. You guys I trust and remain an inspiration.
After being skinny and weak my whole life, and focusing on strength training for more than 6 years now, sticking to the key principles and staying natural the whole way, it's gotten to a point where I have been told more than once that I must be on gear. So I kind of feel really proud of myself, so you should too. It's a badge of honor
As many others have said, I watch because you're relatable while still being good role models and goals to strive for. Staying natural is a big part of that relateability, the gear is simply not an option for many even if one was to ignore the health downsides. I look up to you guys and it helps me get back on track whenever I slip off my normal routine.
Love you guys! I’m a trainer at an xsport fitness in Chicago (for about 7 years) and I know a lot of the regulars. A bunch of them are blasting gear and don’t look nearly as good as y’all 😂😂😂 Keep it up. I would also say this. Fitness, for the regular person, (99% of us) is about health. It’s about feeling better as we age, physically. That’s what fitness is about. Bodybuilding is the smallest percentage of that. Helll yeah, build the muscle , but because it helps with a slew of things: decreased risk of certain cancers, decreased chronic diseases like blood pressure, cardiovascular, etc. The message just needs to pivot overall as far as what everyone should truly be focusing on… their health. 💪🏻
Guys you guys have always been super real. That is one of the best reasons to watch you. I commented years ago that you guys honestly are people I would honestly love to grab a beer with and just hang out. Regarding the steroids. PLEASE no, it is simply not worth it. I am around your age too and took it in my mid 20's due to peer pressure. Got big and strong and now ive gotten older and feeling the side effects. Also I have nothing to show for it as joints etc havent been feeling that great. And I was taking the stuff responsibly, doing test, taking the vitamins to accompany it, not over dosing. Point is just DO NOT TAKE IT. It is not worth it and you cannot go back.
WTF he has a medical need to be on testosterone, the natty card matters but it's not more important than your health or mental wellbeing, if you have low testosterone you have to seek treatment, it's gonna change your life
@@E27043 Medical need? There is no medical need unless two objective criteria are present: serum testosterone is below 263 ng/dL AND the patient report symptoms related to low testosterone. He has neither. So there is no objective medical need. I'm a medical doctor and I don't recommend him taking steroids, as it will not result in an improvement to his health. On the contrary, it has a high risk of adverse reactions.
@@E27043 there is no medical need until two conditions are simultaneously met: serum testosterone is below 264 ng/dL AND the patient reports symptoms associated with a low testosterone. There isn't an actual card; you know this right? Whether you take particular chemicals doesn't really matter. Your health and wellbeing DO matter. How good you are at working out doesn't.
I’ve been watching you guys for many years and I respect that you’re natural. It’s shows what true hard work can do with consistency and discipline. It gives a realistic picture of what is attainable for the average guy that doesn’t want to, or can’t afford to do steroids. Over the years I’ve loved watching the natural ups and downs of what can happen with a man’s body during life. For example, when you guys did videos surrounding injuries, or having a new family, or when life just gets busy and you have to get back on the wagon and be disciplined after a season of not being so consistent. What you guys do is great!
Please stay natural! I love that you show what's possible with the natural approach, and are honest about what to expect and how you feel. That stuff's even more important than the fantastic final results. Honestly, I watch your channel not just because you're entertaining and informative, but because you inspire me to improve my daily habits and enjoy the journey.
Being natty ain't easy. It's way too easy to look at the positive results that get flaunted on social media but, when the temptation creeps in. I watch James Linker's channel Shredded Sports Science. He has a series of videos that cover the horrible side effects and the sad early deaths of lifters younger than myself (and I'm Only 41). Thanks for being a natural inspiration!
It's easy if you give up the identity of I have to look like a body builder to be happy with your life. I'm certainly not saying I haven't been there, but there is a better life available with some mindset work.
It definitely matters to my wife and I that you and Brandon are natural. We have been following you both for a few years. We have your workout books and have seen great success with your programs as well just staying motivated watching your content. Please keep it up and stay natural. We love what you guys do.
Super good video. I guess that's why the Olympics and other athletic events try to stay drug free to have a true competition naturally. The trend for people to take shortcuts will always be there and today with medical technology, including genetic modifications and pharmaceuticals, beyond what's ever been seen before. At what cost, however? The warranty on engines say if you modify them, attempting to increase horspower, the warranty is void because you've shortened the lifespan of the engine. Are we voiding our warranty by increasing our horsepower? Are enhancements drug addiction at acceptable levels merely because we become accustomed to their use? A personal decision for sure.
Everyone in sports, or at least the majority of them, are already doping in some way shape or form and cheating the tests to show they are "clean." They're clean at the moment they do the competition, but their entire time lead up to that they might as well be Bane from Batman they're so juiced up.
@charleshill1906 So true. It's all age levels, too. I've been competing in track and field in the senior games and a couple years ago I ran the 50 meter. A fellow competitor pointed out the fact that he knew of several seniors who were "juiced." Never entered my mind that would be the case but I thought, well why wouldn't they? Nobody tests old people 😂 Who cares? Except for those staying natural that is.
You guys have been two of my HEROES for years! I have found so much encouragement in your insane physiques! Being natural shows the strength of mind AND body- the ability not to give up! Being on gear only shows the effect of the drugs and does not speak to the ability of the athlete. Thank you for everything you guys do! You guys rock! Stay buff!
Hell yeah, congrats on the progress Hudson! And I absolutely love that you guys stay natty. Anyone can be “enhanced” but it takes true dedication and hard work to ignore those short cuts and do it the old fashioned way. Stay buff!!
were all here because you all in the buff dudes family are awesome, wholesome people with good content! loved following you so far! you guys are great!!
I looked into my testosterone after the first vid and did several draws and in my early 30s my test was lower than Hudson's and my free test was non existent. Talking with my doc and looking at my youth and past it made sense that I always had low t. After being on trt for a few months I do feel a change and the biggest is just being able to play with my kids and not be exhausted after work. It didn't get me huge or ripped but my t is now in the normal average range and it made a difference in my everyday life. Some need it, most don't but don't let the fitness industry make you think you do..the buff dudes are proof.
Thank you, truly, for showing the truth about the changes, the progress, how vulnerable it feels to be exposed online regarding supplements and your mind. If you focus on yourself, you'll become a better you, if you focus on what other people feel, you'll never surpass your own expectations.
Thanks man! I’m 50 and was overweight with a 300 test. Now I’ve dropped 50 lbs and am eating right and working out. Can’t wait to see if my numbers increased at my next physical.
don't be surprised if they are the same or only a bit higher. You need to establish a trend line in your own blood work to see what your test levels are over a protracted period. Single instances of blood work is like taking a photograph of a single moment in time and making vast sweeping judgments about a person based on the information in that photograph. You need a photo album to really know, not a couple of pictures.
Honestly you guys are the only channel that has helped me on my lifting journey, i have your home gym workout book and I'v gone through it a few times (with changes each time i repeat it) but i use it as a solid foundation and i come back to your videos to look at form, exc. B/c i know you guys are telling me the right way, not just for views, but b/c its important to have good form. Dont listen to the nay sayers accusing you guys of T boosting/juicing, im sure its hard not to when their voices are directed at you but i guarantee the majority of us, the silent majority know you guys are legit. keep it up! b/c with my son growing up hes gonna need a good channel to watch when he can hit the gym.
It's tempting to want to increase our size and strength quickly by taking steroids but there is a reason for the phrase, "Nothing worth having comes easy.." The real power isn't the level of strength that you gain, it is the self discipline that you developed to earn what you have. Don't take short cuts because they cost you in ways you never expect. You guys are doing amazing and should be proud of being natural. Don't compare yourselves to all these fake mofos on the juice.
It’s cringe to take pride in being natural? Guess what my friend, every man that ever lived before the 1930’s was a “natty”. You put that stuff in your body you can never get off it, unless of course you want to grow titties
Wait, you think steroids makes things easier? Or don't require discipline in the gym? I'm not advocating for steroids, but lets not find ourselves in ivory towers
@@HisNameIsTater Steroids 100% makes it easier. It may not be free but don’t think for a second that the gains aren’t way easier because of steroids. I am not trying to sound self righteous but I am more concerned with young people falling down this rabbit hole because they compare themselves to unrealistic gains. I have been stuck on a bench plateau for almost 2 months. I would love to take something and get past it next week but I don’t because it will hurt me down the road when I least expect it. Tweak your diet, switch up your training but don’t play with your life over it. Just my opinion. We all have our choices to make in life.
Charles Atlas managed to keep the same physical measurements from when he was 30 year old until his death at 79 year old. He trained until his last day.All this drug free. I rather be fit and grow old than be big and muscular with the help of p.e.d and die before i hit 50.
@@Relampagoblue Time will tell. It's too early to speculate on the longevity of the 90's era bodybuilder. However we can look at AAU Mr america winners from 1939 to 1999 "The necrological profile of the sixty-two [Amateur Athletic Union] Mr Americas from 1939 to 1999 , twenty-eight of whom have passed away (as of 2015 when the book was written) What these data show is the extraordinary contrast in longevity of Mr America before and after 1962 , rougly marking the onset of the steroid era, while the overall age for those who have passed away is 68.53 years it is 75.89 for pre steroid era winners and only 53 for steroid era " -- "Fair, John D. Mr. America: The Tragic History of a Bodybuilding Icon. Austin: University of Texas Press, 2015. Page. 355"
Arnie Stallone are both examples of people who have been juiced to the gills and they are both almost in their 80s. Hormone replacement shouldn't be demonized because some people abused drugs. Evidence shows that low testosterone increases risk of all cause mortality. Also bodybuilding have a statistically high frequency of drug abuse so you would have to offset the data with that. Simply said you can't compare ifbb pros with normal people the math doesn't math
You guys have a very unique aesthetic channel. I've been watching for what feels like 12 years. Probably less but i've learned a lot from the both of you. i mean i've seen your apartments, homes, gyms, hell even family life. i keep coming back because of the genuine meaning behind your content. I feel the same way philion said " The buff dudes are genuine cool guys,". god that would have sucked to get "Fitness flop" video from him. Love your content, Please dont stop!
So, I'm really sorry to say this as someone coming from a lab diagnostic background, but that result is likely a false positive, BUT you can still check to confirm if it is actually a false positive. The reason why is: Test 1: 3 months ago, Blood was taken at 11.30am (after referring back to the old video and double-checking the time the blood was taken) Test 2: Now, Blood was taken at 8am. This matters because testosterone levels peak in the morning, and then they decrease throughout the day. To confirm if this is an actual false positive, you would need to repeat this test, fasted state, and have the blood drawn at 11.30am. You can still do this though! So long as nothing has changed and you are still doing the same diet/lifestyle, there should be no issue with a re-test. But for the record, it's so cool to hear that you're feeling better physically and mentally. And again, just for context and emphasis, I'm writing this someone who is a genuine fan of your work and content, and has bought and used your programs, but with something like this, I think it would be best to make sure that this is as accurate as possible, especially because it is a time-sensitive test.
Yeah, for an accurate result you really need to do serial testing at the same time of day to get a solid /before/ and /after/ number. Most hormone testing has a lot of diurnal, weekly, or even seasonal variation.
Stay natural, Dudes!!!! The fact that you’ve shown great results naturally is one of the reasons you’re my favorite fitness channel and a HUGE inspiration to me! (Hudson quitting alcohol is another!!) Don’t give in to the demons!! Don’t change a THING! Continue to evolve naturally, and you’ll always have a fan here!!
Most people don't even lift for 10 years before they hop on gear. I seen a 14 yr old on tren. Its the new norm. If you dudes took steroids nobody would blink an eye..except maybe some of us long-time subscribers...you'd even have way more subscribers than you do now.
I don't know man, I think this channel is more about healthy bodybuilding, so being natty is part of the charm. When the gear users hit certain age they will be paying the price and nattyes win in the end
You guys are the best. You're an inspiration and watching you come back from injury and be a buff dad has helped me stay motivated. Seeing Duke gives me hope that I can still do impressive things as I age. When I got injured the doctors told me to stop lifting weights. This channel was one of the big reasons I didn't give up. Now I'm pushing 40 and stronger than ever. Do whatever you want. But going on gear wouldn't change what this channel means. Do the basics, consistently, and stay buff. This is one of the few healthy fitness channels. I'd rather watch y'all do challenges into your 80s than see you roid out and die early.
38 year old dude here. Got numbers taken fasted and well rested 2 years ago and was at a 306 total. Didnt want to get on TRT becasue i worried it would not do anything. Fast forward a year and im randomly really sad, depressed over life, crying alone in my car and mentally unwell. Stopped drinking 120 days exercised, water intake and slept more.....tested again and test levels at 309. Got on TRT and im about 5 months in.....the best decision of my adult life. I feel so much more motivated and exercise actually gets results, no more depression etc. Levels at 850 now consistently
We need more comments like this, this comment section is all fucked up, everyone is like "noo don't do TRT, we want you to stay natty!!" like it's normal to recomment to a man with a family and responsabilities to not get medical treatment if he really needs it, what the actual f.
@E27043 Hudson increased his levels naturally and didn't need TRT and that's why most of the comments are telling him to stay natty. Now if his levels stayed the same or got lower and then he was also feeling like crap, then yeah he would need to get on something to help.
@@angelortiz6373 He put in an incredible amount of effort to raise his testosterone but just 200 points while his brother has over 700 points without doing all that, that perfect lifestyle is not sustainable with work, family and kids and the most important thing is that they did not show the free testosterone numbers and in most cases all of these lifestyle changes only affect total testosterone but free testosterone remains low, this could also be confirmed by the fact that he said he doesn't feel any different at all despite increasing his levels by over 50%. An average male with normal testosterone production would not have 300 points with his lifestyle, even before all of the changes he still trained hard, eat very clean and rest SUFFICIENTLY, he's also not an alcoholic, he drinks occasionally but it shouldn't be enough to have levels that low. If he needs to do absolutely everything super perfect every day every week just to get to average levels it means that he's struggling to produce testosterone, a normal male his age doing everything perfect as he did would have over 800 points
@@E27043 I think most people aren't talking about taking TRT medically - as they said, the numbers don't mean anything on their own. Someone might have it at 300 and be fine, others 300 and depressed. That's why its important to follow what the doctor says. What we dislike is going on TRT for the sake of getting big or whatever
@@Mentaljedi being "fine" doesn't mesn much, if you're used to 300 points because it has been steadily declining over the years and you've probably been around 300 for the past 5 years, it's not that you just wake up one morning and you feel bad. You may not necessarily notice it but it's definitely affecting your drive and well being and you only realize that after you start TRT and you really experience how you should feel like. In most cases people actually regret not having started earlier.
Really appreciate the honesty at the end. Being natural definitely matters - you're lighting the way for those of us who want to maximise our health/longevity/vitality - keep setting a great example! The natural community needs more of this raw honesty and more of these examples. You , Alex Leonidas etc.... Every video (& every admission of the steroid rampant fitness scene) is helping keep young men on the path (& off the juice). Thanks & keep going!
Hey Hudson, yes being natural is very important to me. You are a huge role model to me, both you and Brandon. Once on TRT, there's no getting off - it's on for life. Fight the good fight. Keep the faith. Don't listen to the nay sayers.
It's not for life. You can taper off over a month or two and use things like clomiphene, enclomiphene, or HCG if your pituitary needs an extra kick start. The transition can be hard for some people, but apparently for most it's just a period of fatigue. I'm transitioning off right now - I've been on for two years. 150mg weekly > 100mg weekly for two weeks, then 50mg for two weeks, then done. No additional drugs to kick start my pituitary. Doc will extend taper if needed. So far, there have been some fatigue spells going from 150>100, but nothing crippling. Mood is fine. No estrogenic symptoms. This isn't to say I encourage people to get on it - I don't. But it absolutely isn't for life unless you have a clinical need to remain on it.
I don’t want to take away any from your lifestyle changes but truthfully this can’t be seen as a “success” because of the timing. Last time you had your testosterone checked it was around noon due to some issues you had. Brandon has his checked in the very early hours. Testosterone is higher in the morning and gradually lowers as the day progresses. This time you checked your testosterone about 3 hours EARLIER than before. Regardless of ANY changes you are always going to have higher testosterone when you check it earlier than later. You could have even tested it the very next day and the fact you checked it earlier, it would have been higher.
In my opinion, instead of thinking "what;s the point of being natural if people say I'm on gear", take it as a sign that you truly DON'T need any peds. You guys already attained naturally what some of these new guys can only do enhanced. Keep up the great work and stay naturally buffed!!!
Love and appreciate that you guys promote healthy ways to be fit always! And though you may not have felt a difference boosting your testosterone, there are others out there who do experience symptoms from having low testosterone or estrogen or another hormone and you proved that you can naturally change this! Something that doctors tell people they have to be on medication for. As girl who was needlessly put on BC as a teenager for hormones and has now healed her hormones naturally, I think you made a difference with this video. Thank you for being the pure channel that you are!
I went from 334 to 960 in around 3 months all natural no TRT. This book should be essential reading for all men. Written by a 50s guy with natural T levels higher than most 20s guys Complete guide to testosterone by james Francis
I raised my T levels from 334 to 961 a few seconds ago by typing numbers on my keyboard. The difference in my statement and yours is that I'm not lying.
I’ve been watching your videos since the early years, and it’s the messages/reflections like the end of this video that set you guys apart from other fitness people and make you my favorite to watch - open, honest, hard working, and relatable. And you’re both funny as well. Well done on your journey.
You guys are some of the few fitness youtubers that I still follow. I started watching in High School and now I'm a married soon to be a father of 2, so I appreciate having a channel grow with me and making relevant content. As for the feelings about steroids, that's really just good for social media level likes/impressions or competing. You guys are above just getting likes and I don't think you have plans to compete, so I would keep on the track you're going. Thanks for all of the motivation!
Brandon, I've been following you guys since you did the first bicep video, the series where you tried to get a high schooler to wake up and work out with you guys and was really into the first 12 week plan many years ago. I've stopped watching and unsubscribed to all my other fitness youtubers and you guys are the only ones I watch because I know you guys are natty and you have 2 kids like me. The message has never changed, you guys have been really great about showing balance in your lives and I'm super grateful for those videos. The superhero, celebrity videos definitely not my thing but I know content creation is tough. Really happy with the reflection in this video, you will always get the support from me.
Stay natural! You guys look great and always inspiring. Trust that all this will come around as people age, long term, you'll always be in a better and healthier position.
The Buff Dude channel has been the catalyst in helping me get in the great shape I am in now. My brother and I are close to 40 but still competing against each other in fitness. I would watch how y’all worked out and take those tips to protect myself from injury but still get the results. I’m in it for the long haul. Stay Buff Dudes but please stay natty. Your family is worth it.
Well done lads, your channel is one of only a few I watch about fitness and it’s great to see you laying it all out there for us keep it real it’s a refreshing experience especially for us older people who have seen the game and witnessed the ill effects of not nattys, I’ve been sober 4 years and working out since the start of Covid and it’s watching people like you that keep this 46 year old motivated ( I stopped working out 18 years ago depression and ill health) anyway keep it up all the best.
Dudes, I watch your content specifically because you guys keep it real, natural and preach the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices. Y’all embody attainable, realistic long-term goals and demonstrate the rewards of dedication and commitment. Never change.
You two and your Dad are so entertaining, genuine decent people like you should always put yourself out there because I’m sure for most people and definitely for me restore some faith in humanity
You keep up your honorable approach and pure health-focused buff lifestyle! You guys rock and always have. Thank you for all your great content through out the years. Buff Dudes - Forever
Loved the candid talk at the end Hudson. I've been using your workout plans modified to my preferences going on 9 years now. Training for health and strength has been my motivation for life 💪. Thank you and the buff family for all your work on this channel and youtube fitness.
I appreciate that you’re willing to stay natural and it does matter, at least to me. About 6 years ago I decided to take up Lifting when looking for instructions on basic movements and routines I thought you guys were among the very best while still being entertaining. I don’t ever intend to try anything artificial myself, and while I don’t compare myself to you (only against what I used to be) the fact that I can at least consider your routines to be realistic and feasible for me helps a lot
Been rocking with the Buff Dudes for about 10 years. Really respect their transparency. So many people on PEDs it's sadly thr new norm. Doesn't mean it's the right thing though. Stay natural and stay buff 💪🏾. Thanks for being an inspiration.
I've been watching you guys since pretty much the beginning, back in 2012 when I was a little fat 15yo and the thought that I could achieve the same physique that you guys have naturally is what kept me going and made me the gym rat I am today. I think that you guys are one of the few good influence left in the fitness world, the fact that you can go back to those 2012 videos and hear you preach the same thing you do now is what makes you guys stand out. Very few have the consistency and quality you guys do and for so long. You guys do this to have a positive impact on the people starting their fitness journeys and it shows!
Long time fan here. Like watching you because you are real and inspiring. Not being on any enhancements and having your physique is what makes want to continue to train and not give up. Especially being a dad myself as are you Hudson. Keep at it, the both of you!
Honestly seeing that much improvement more in your numbers from just eatting better food and getting better sleep is super encouraging because you guys were already living pretty healthy so just imagine what someone who has not been living healthy can do!
Good timing, I have my annual physical this week and one thing I was wanting to check is my T levels. My training is good but like many, my diet is 50/50. Glad to see you brought up your levels naturally. Inspired
I think it matters now more than ever. I mean I totally get why people get on gear, especially if they run a social media business, and I don’t look down on them for it (unless they are being deceptive about it), but at the same time there are (and always will be) a LOT of people out there who just want to lift and make progress for themselves without the social media aspect. There are increasingly fewer people to look to who are “like us.” Like someone else said, there’s a “charm” to it, and a camaraderie to it as well. I really appreciate how open you guys are about stuff. It’s really refreshing in the smoke and mirrors of modern social media.
I wouldn't personally see either of you two different if you decided to go the enhanced route, for whatever reason, as long as you were transparent about it. That being said, I think you are much better for the community and influences staying natural and promoting it. This video is a fantastic example of how lifestyle changes really can make a difference. 200 points will feel very different to people who are generally fit and healthy to those who are trying to be. That type of increase by just making better lifestyle changes could really change a lot of people's entire world and you proved it can be done. Been subscribed for 10 years and following even before I had an account. This has been one of my favorite channels over the years and just wanted to let you know how appreciated you all are by the community. Keep up the great videos and nothing but the best for you all.
I honestly feel that you guys have done an amazing job staying genuine to yourselves, in what I can only assume is the ever-shifting hellscape that is UA-cam Fitness. Most people are pretty good at picking up on authenticity and I think that's why you guys have passed the test of time and been so successful. You're The Buff Dudes, and that's all we need you to be. STAY BUFF!!!
Dude. Thanks for being so open about it. It’s crossed my mind a few times too but it makes it easier to hold out because you and a bunch of other natty4lifers are out there getting it. You guys are def 1%er naturals and funny AF too. Keep it up and stay buff 💪
I’m 34 now and follow buff dudes since the beginning! It was great having you guy’s as role models! I still train and always natural. Maybe when I’m older and my test is really low and feel weak i would consider TRT. But for now I definitely don’t need anything!
Thank you for talking about your state of mind in relation to others in the fitness space. Staying natural when fitness is a core element of your life can totally be a struggle when you see dudes looking “fantastic” after a only couple of years and you can only see yourself through a comparative lens. I really appreciate that even a successful Buff Dude has those thoughts. Good job on the raising the numbers and completing another informative challenge!
Dude, we are not here because you guys are the 1%, but because you guys seem genuine and the videos are useful and entertaining
I’d like to add that also you guys look great
They should do Carnivore for 90 days.
It's like a testosterone rocket ship.

I don’t watch the buff dudes because you’re big. I watch the buff dudes because you’re helpful, entertaining, and genuine
Thanks Justin
I watch them because they're buff, otherwise it would be false advertising. Lol

Wow Joshua, thank you. Hope we can continue providing good content for years to come! 💪😎 -Hudson
Been reading your books from Germany for 12 years now... Thanks for all the fun and a very sarcastic childhood!
Congrats bud! Ignoring the numbers, genuinely glad to hear you feel better physically and mentally. Thank you for your vulnerability
Same here, 34 now. Always kept watching the buff dudes 💯😎👊
You guys helped me quit drinking, and I just wanted to say Thank You!!!!!
Good for you! Stay at it. *high five*
Props dude
Well done, Jake. Keep it up!
You got it bro 💪🙌
how did they help? just curious
It doesn't matter. What they do in sharing these videos matters waaaay more.
Is this a joke? Getting on TRT is by no means steroids. It’s literal purpose to make people get to a normal level of test, thousands of old guys are on it. Why would he not do this when it can improve his health?
@@Vestu man you talk like TRT is the same as blasting grams of trenbolone
@@E27043 I'm talking about tren etc. not TRT
Stay natty. Stay buff.
Andrew, that's amazing, congratulations! Thanks for sharing and happy to hear we could help. And will do. Stay Buff. 💪 -Hudson
Good on you bro! My test is 450 and I’m 42. Giving up the booze and we shall see if it improves. Long time fan man! Stay buff 💪🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Don't hop on the gear. Young people need to see that good results are attainable naturally, and those older should start focusing on longevity and overall health. Stay Buff
if you only knew the power of the dark side.
*muhahahahahaaaaaaaa
Just to play devil's advocate for a moment, I think pointing to the last twelve years is plenty enough evidence.
ped's for loser's, until you 45 than its ok
@@PlebiteBaller power of the limp penis side ? good luck
It’s not gear. It’s medicine.
You and your channel give hope to natural lifters in this era of PED and false possibilities, keep fighting the good fight
Stay Buff!
We need more natties. Keep it up, Buff Dudes! Yats Ffub naturally.
Definitely why most of us have been here for years.
nothing wrong with being on testosterone if you need it. What we need is more people telling the thruth, not more or less natties, thats a personal decision and everyone should respect it.
@@jordixboy The 1% who needs it... What about the 99% that doesn't?
When you think of it, there is really no reason to use steroids if you want to push yourself to the limit. Only if you have to compete with other roid users in a competition or for actual medical reasons.
@@robin-comments bro, needing is relative, do we need to smoke, do we need to drink alcohol? do we need to do X or Y? People can use steroids for any reason, no need to compete. Its the same with beauty operations, enlarging breasts or your d*ck, are those only for famous people or actors? I don't get your point... (and those have way more risk than using steroids)
Anyone should be free to do to their body, we need more education about good and bads, risk mitigation etc.
It's so refreshing and inspiring to see natural, normal and non-steroid. Keep doing what you do, naturally.
Thats interesting. I'm 52 and have low T, but really don't want to go on TRT.
Such a joy when the buff dudes put out a new video!
Wow, I'm going through same thing, mine was 328....are you doing pellets, shots, gels?? Thanks for the info.👍😎🏋♂️
I'm not judging you. I'm just saying that your body naturally produces HGH and androstenedione as well. Your justification is lacking.
I also get my blood work done every 3 months to keep things in check. I donate every 3 months which keeps that Hematocrit number in check also.
The natty card is priceless. It really matters. Congrats for your discipline and resilience.

My thoughts, is, id like to see a collab with Jeff Nippard 🤩. Was a great series good job! we love you brother 🤗
This such a genuine video with great thoughts and questions. You guys are probably the realest people in the fitness industry right now.
One thing I can say is that I am proud that I am part of this channel for 11 years already... I love you guys
This is imo hands down the best fitness channel on air today, in part due to them being relatable and real. Please keep doing what you’re doing!
It definitely matters to my wife and I that you and Brandon are natural. We have been following you both for a few years. We have your workout books and have seen great success with your programs as well just staying motivated watching your content. Please keep it up and stay natural. We love what you guys do.
I doubt Brandon was in his modeling days.
You guys are one of the realest and true OGs of the medium, i came across your vids in 2014 and been loving them ever since.
Buff Dad coming in with the wisdom. hell yeah.
Any update?
@@keltberanski2757 no. I think my next bloodwork isn’t for 6 months or so. But I feel great!
Thank you for being genuine. Much appreciated and it's what makes you credible and relatable.
Consistency compounds. Adding 1-2lbs of muscle a year for 10 + years takes dedication, hard work, and decent genes.
“Life is a struggle. That’s how you become better.”
I sense a new Buff Dude’s merch line with that quote 🤔
I have watched you guys for years due to the fact you are natural and offer good honest advice. Stay natural and feel proud of what you have achieved!
Cringe
It’s cringe to take pride in being natural? Guess what my friend, every man that ever lived before the 1930’s was a “natty”. You put that stuff in your body you can never get off it, unless of course you want to grow titties
Wait, you think steroids makes things easier? Or don't require discipline in the gym? I'm not advocating for steroids, but lets not find ourselves in ivory towers
Yeah bud these guys are on TRT at the least
@@HisNameIsTater Steroids 100% makes it easier. It may not be free but don’t think for a second that the gains aren’t way easier because of steroids. I am not trying to sound self righteous but I am more concerned with young people falling down this rabbit hole because they compare themselves to unrealistic gains. I have been stuck on a bench plateau for almost 2 months. I would love to take something and get past it next week but I don’t because it will hurt me down the road when I least expect it. Tweak your diet, switch up your training but don’t play with your life over it. Just my opinion. We all have our choices to make in life.
You are the 1%!!! My role model as a parent, athlete, productivity coach. Keep doing your thing Dudes, world needs you
Charles Atlas managed to keep the same physical measurements from when he was 30 year old until his death at 79 year old. He trained until his last day.All this drug free. I rather be fit and grow old than be big and muscular with the help of p.e.d and die before i hit 50.
Okay, but what about those who are still doing great? Look at Dorian Yates for example, apparently it can be done safely.
@@Relampagoblue Time will tell. It's too early to speculate on the longevity of the 90's era bodybuilder.

The reason why is:
Test 1: 3 months ago, Blood was taken at 11.30am (after referring back to the old video and double-checking the time the blood was taken)
Test 2: Now, Blood was taken at 8am.
Or even doing the blood test every Monday morning at the same time for several weeks… to get more of a moving average
Yeah when I got mine tested I was advised to do it before 10am. Next time I do it I plan to get it drawn close to the same time as on the report.
Stay natural, Dudes!!!! The fact that you’ve shown great results naturally is one of the reasons you’re my favorite fitness channel and a HUGE inspiration to me! (Hudson quitting alcohol is another!!)
Don’t give in to the demons!!
That realization is definitely a part of the struggle.
@@buffdudes you guys prove there is no need. hell yeeeaaahhhhh
@@buffdudes - stay natty. The majority of people are natty and want to stay that way. Your advice will be more relevant if you stay natty
I don't know man, I think this channel is more about healthy bodybuilding, so being natty is part of the charm. When the gear users hit certain age they will be paying the price and nattyes win in the end
The tik tok beta male era
7:30 for the results. Up 200.
thanks for honest work man. been watching you guys for 10 years already..
But it absolutely isn't for life unless you have a clinical need to remain on it.
you should probably do your research before spitting untrue statements on the internet. You can absolutely come off TRT!!!
I am 23 now started watching you guys when i was 18 back in high school, time flies! Thank you guys for never changing!
You could have even tested it the very next day and the fact you checked it earlier, it would have been higher.
lol. A couple hours is NOT going to make a 200 point difference.
The only fitness channel i've been watching for years, for only 2 reasons, you guys are entertaining and the most important thing, geniune.

Wow, what a great T improvement. I also love the honesty - keep up the great work bros!
Dudes, I watch your content specifically because you guys keep it real, natural and preach the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices. Y’all embody attainable, realistic long-term goals and demonstrate the rewards of dedication and commitment. Never change.
Good to see you're showing up on my feed again
You two and your Dad are so entertaining, genuine decent people like you should always put yourself out there because I’m sure for most people and definitely for me restore some faith in humanity
You guys rock! There are always haters out there who just wanna hate. Keep up the top notch content. Yall are super inspiring to a lot of us.
You keep up your honorable approach and pure health-focused buff lifestyle! You guys rock and always have.
Thank you for all your great content through out the years.
