Yes, in the report they said Apple want you to upgrade constantly but that's not true, Apple recommends you to upgrade every three years to stay up to date with the current technologies, but if you want you can still use it, my dad still uses iPhone 7 which was launched in 2016 and it works as it did on day one, now tell me an 2016 phone that works like that and gets the latest updates.

Same, I recently dropped my S20 Ultra as the screen cracked in the corner, so I went to Samsung repairs to try and fix it and it costs $576 dollar which is just insane to me.

You do understand Palki is a newsreader. She may also be a journalist. But she doesn't do all of this alone. There would be a large team of researchers, journalists, writers and producers behind the scenes. She just reads the news... but she does it exceptionally well.

ALL the electronic component in laptop, tv, etc none of these are manufactured in india. Only imported.

My daughter convinced me to get an iPhone 6 months ago, I don't see nothing special about it. I had 5 different brands of smartphones in the past and I will say in my opinion, they performed exactly same as iPhone is.

Well. I would say, all the industries are moving towards 4.0 a long way ago and according to me, if any smart phones incorporate all those tools like any apps or features that covers AI, Machine learning, IoT, Softrobot and many more... it will pickup the market.

I think it would be unfair to criticize Apple based purely on sales growth. The fact is, their products are really really good and for any rational person, it would not make any sense to upgrade every year. Although this impacts the sales growth, I believe it was already taken into account during your first purchase i.e. Apple Tax. It is because of this the company has a bulletproof balance sheet. In terms of innovation, apple products still rule the market and many cases disrupt the whole industry. M1 chip for instance, intel and AMD would better explain how disruptive this is. At the end of the day, I like many others, would still buy an Apple product, if we are in market to buy a new one. This was not the case for Nokia. And that was the biggest and perhaps the only reason for its downfall. That it did not maintain its competitiveness in the market. Apple is and will be miles ahead for a very long time.
Steve Jobs built Apple on the principle that the Hardware and the software were integrally related.
Apple has neglected its software.
Apple geeks have found 2 or 3 ways of doing the same thing, but in the process they have over complicated the simple effective iPhone or iPad. I buy a new iPhone and go to take a photo and have 5 options, but no selection to take a photo, I didn't know I held the button to open too long. I can chose effects now before taking a photo, but I can modify the photo in edit. That is the sensible option.

As a qualified artist I loved the App, 'Publisher.' I used it a lot. I bought a new iPad and Publisher was no longer available. My old iPad still ran 'Publisher,' until Apple decided to upgrade my software, deleting Publisher.
I could use other programs but I changed to Apple because I found Microsoft difficult to use and software was constantly made obsolescent.
Great improvements in the camera and editing, but, I don't believe the software is designed by Apple people. They have grown up with messy old computers that require operators to have super human memories. I'm a dumb bum, that's why I bought a computer in the first place.
Greed, selling Apps or your device won't work, is a new business. I believe Apple's greed is following that path.
I got a cheap phone from my network provider, gave it to a friend, cheap but great. Apple has reduced its software offerings so much that that cheap phone looks really good to me.
iCloud can't talk to other systems without a translator program. Dropbox is the translator program. So often I want to save to iPad but no, I have to save to dropbox. Sometimes I cannot even save to my photos from competitor's Apps.
The solution for Apple is simple: Cut down their prices by 40%. Their prices simply way too high. Customers got ticked off and left Apple. At least that is my reason switching to other company.
Flagships of other companies are not cheap either.
Plus apple processor and camera and displays are way ahead of its competitors

U think Samsung will give them the very best when they are in such a hot competition? What apple beats Samsung in is processing speed and battery life . Nothing more. When u talk about cameras the point is shared 50:50 between them. Apple does better in video recording and natural colour reproduction and Samsung does better in still shots and telephoto zoom.. I even wonder if iphone can really rub shoulders with Samsung in camera since iphone does not even support 8K.
@@Manu-ik8nn apple makes none of those components that you mentioned. Camera is outsourced by LG, processors are outsourced by TSMC and displays from Samsung. They literally just put everything together like building lego blockd and sell it for a higher price. And I know for sure those three companies despite being tech giants don't hold monopolies like most American companies like Microsoft, Facebook and Google who always smear their competitors or acquire them. So what's the excuse for the yearly price hike? Huawei brought competition and was set to even surpass Samsung until the US sanctioned them.

Linux has been around for decades but still most of the mainstream Desktops/Laptops are either Windows or MACs. What makes you think Linux Phones would cause a collapse of Apple or even Android? Even if they were to be adopted more in the next decade (and that's a big IF!) it would be Android that would be in threat more compared to Apple since Linux would be open source and an option to multiple OEMs.

For years people have been saying Apple is doomed but hey they are still around. They have just come out with the M1 chip which is going to revolutionize the industry. Innovation doesn't always have to come with additional features. I personally would rather have a device with rock solid features that don't compromise each other instead of a device with features I don't really need. Also, m1 chip has probably the biggest breakthrough recently. People just don't understand it since it's not something they can see as a flashy fingerprint sensor or yet another camera module. I think they know what they're doing.

Many like to genaralise Apple users because of some TikTok Chapri who buys an iPhone 5s and takes selfies in the mirror in 2021. Its really hard for people like me to just enjoy my products without someone hating or bickering about it. It is honestly sad.
Jobs knew what he was doing. After producing rock solid hardware, he switched focus to software and literally founded the app store. If Apple had a clue, their apps would still be dominating
@@IvanMillerraintreehealthcare what do you mean their apps would be dominating? Apple never had a market share because of its apps. Neither did android. It's the 3rd party vendors who make the apps. The market share depends on how easy it is to develop apps for an OS , that's why windows phones died out. There were simply not enough developers for their apps. Apps for ios are way better than the ones made for android due to the simple fact that the number of ios devices are limited. You can pick up any social media app see the difference. In terms of jobs knowing what he was doing, his approach was more focused on devices for people n keeping only the necessary features in. However, there is limit to that since other brands are catching up. So now the innovations are in chips and optimizations. It doesn't create a wow factor because you can't really see or feel it, but it's stil innovation.

They are good at design part, rest everything is just a copy paste from past phones. Chip innovation can be caught up really fast. Qualcomm and Samsung are gonna catch up easily in around 2 years. Apple is just stubborn about their core values of not innovating and getting as much profit possible without doing much change. This is what will lead to their downfall. Mark my words.

It is called green washing, consumers will pay more if it is marketed as environment friendly without realising it is just a way to grab more pennies. If Samsung does it too, I will really be disappointed
"Think different", that's exactly what apple is doing. They are concentrating on software and their services. They themselves admitted that they are not a technology base company, it's a service based company. First thing we all should stop doing is compare apple to Nokia or any other smart phone vender. Remember, apple owns it's software, processors and hardware, they have an ecosystem backing them up. These are things most companies don't have. Innovation doesn't always have to be in the hardware department.

@samuel mango it's easier said that done. You can't just build an ecosystem and an OS. It has its complexities and you need time, a lot of time to scale it. Yes Huewei and etc are trying but that doesn't mean it will be successful.

I am an Apple user. My iMac slowed down after I upgraded to Monterey. My MacbookAir does not plug in an Asus screen (which works perfectly fine with MacAir 2015). Things are not only not getting innovative they are getting wierder. I googled for "Why Macbook AirM1 not hooking to external monitor screen?" I discovered the first such question on the Apple forum was posed in 2015. Still there is no word from the company

It doesn't seem like you've seen AirPods, Apple Watch, Apple Pay, etc all dominate their respective categories. Services grows at a record pace every year. Apple Music was launched, Apple TV was launched and now they make the silicon for their computers. You do not seem to understand what "product" means and I bet gimmicky features for you are more important than usable features - HomeKit, Siri, Apple Pay, CarPlay, etc all were introduced before the competition.
And oh, an iPhone was and is the single best selling model, every year for the last 5 years. To make it easy for you to understand, take any one smartphone model and see if it has outsold an iPhone.

Add the iPad and Mac (evolution/not innovation)....increase that to 70+%
So the “fumes” I’m talking about are evolutionary products from when Steve was running full force and alive in the company.
30% could generously could be attributed to “new” and that would be wearables and services. I would put it at 15/20% because I bet many of the services are as old as when Steve was around.

He may have had early ideas about wearables, but he certainly didn't have production ready designs or info about AirPods, HomePod, etc as they were built leveraging Beats technology, which Apple acquired in 2014. If you really knew Apple, you'll know that their ecosystem is what keeps their customer base and revenues growing.
If it's fumes, then those fumes have propelled Apple branded wireless headphones to a >50% market share and even Beats standalone is in 3rd spot with more marketshare than Sony, JBL, Bose, etc.

The market is now saturated with smart devices and it is high time for renewal, for smart ideas that AAPL seems to be increasingly unable to provide us with. So long Apple, we will miss your dominance, but progress doesn't wait!
