I don't have as much sun as you do - but some days yes and it is great on a sunny day. And, yes, no added heat in the kitchen - hot enough when putting up food. Supper looks great and tasty.
Thank you for showing the Sun Oven as many aren’t aware of them. I enjoy mine year around as long as there is sun. Bakes bread well too. It’s great because you can’t burn anything in them.
So cool how that sun oven can cook an entire meal like that! Doug and Stacy Off Grid did a video recently with the sun oven people where they used the world’s largest sun oven, it was huge!
Yummy food without heating up the house or calling for delivery! What a wonderful energy efficient way to cook! Wish I had a sun oven too! Thanks for sharing! Have a safe, awesome, and cool summer! ❤️❤️
I have never heard of a sun oven. I am very impressed and what a great way to cook outdoors. Thank you for taking the time to show this. Linda, Quebec city, Canada
So neat being able to cook a meal with the sun. We want to get one...sooner rather than later, hopefully. That squash looks beautiful! You are one hard-working lady...enjoying the fruits of your labors.
I do love it! I am hoping for a sunny day next Saturday. We are exchanging our off-grid house batteries, and will be completely without power 5 - 6 hours, possibly more. I need to cook, and feed the extra hands who are coming to help.
It looks great as a backup for sure. Is it fairly rugged for heavy use? For that price it would have to be useable regularly because you could buy a lot of propane for that price.
Oh man Vickie, that is cool beans! I remember when those ovens first came out & were so popular. I never bought one cause I thought it was a joke. WhT a lovely meal😋. Wish I had one now. Love your show, thanks bunches. All my love
S. Lee Mccauley yes, it does get very hot. I’ve burned myself plenty of times. You can make bread no need to proof before it goes in. My favorite is brownies and cookies. I’ve actually burned cookies in it before.
Hello Vickie, Wow, who would guess you could cook like this, it makes perfect since, is the cooker pricey? love watching you. I also watch whippoorwill holler. I'm older than both you gals. but feels like i'm learning so much. Learning in retirement. Learning to conserve and preserve.
Wow great never heard of it that is good to know about it I live in Missouri and floFollow Lori in Arkansas and I know the two of you are good friends so between the two of you I get a Lotta good information on Connie thank you so much I do enjoy your videos and I’m learning a lot
I was wondering about your canning indoors and if it would be possible to do that outside on a camp stove, I was watching RoseRed Homestead and she's in Colorado and she does her canning outside, her husband built her a wind break to help maintain the temp, or maybe you can't use propane where your are, I was just thinking it might make it easier for you off grid.
Gail's Garden Herbs & More it is an All American Sun Oven. A little expensive, but well put together, works really well, and stores compactly. I am going to be trying dehydrating in it next. I have an Excalibur and a round dehydrator, but they are energy hogs, and being off-grid, that is a problem.

Looks delicious. I need to get a sun oven. It would be a great backup and useful during the Summer when I don't want to heat up the kitchen.

What a super gadget! :) x
I really love that oven, but I don't think I would use it enough to justify the $400+ price.
Awesome video, thanks !!

I would have like to see you cut the chicken open to see that it was well done in the middle.
