What a clever way to make a 18karat gold plated crimp cover out of a shattered spacer bead. Literally brilliant. I wonder how that worked out in the long run.
beautiful piece! i purchased a pearl necklace a while ago which unfortunately got damaged during my travels...anyways, i will follow your tutorial to make new necklace out of the pearls i've got :)
Could you please make a video on showing all the sizes of the chains and pearls side by side? It would be really helpful especially since I wanna make a long Lariat necklace with pearls and stainless steal chain but I want to make sure the chain and pearl ratio is ok :) I also think it would be helpful for people to see the two components on camera
Hi Blaze! What style chain would you like to see? We have hundreds of styles so it would be quite hard getting them all in one shot! We have curb chains, cable chains, box chains, herringbone chains, etc. Would you like to see chains that’s are dainty, medium width or wide and chunky?
@@AthenianFashions So my vision would be a medium girth necklace not to dainty and not chunky, i would like the pearls and chain that I want connected to be the same size as possible, and so I think more ropy chains would look good because like the pearls they’re not flat, the point is to figure out what sized chain and pearls look the most seamless together instead of comparing all the different size chains - if that makes sense, I say that because I think all these chains would look cool with pearls: Foxtail Chain….. SSC1062 Stainless Steel Chain…… Rope Chain…… Rounded Box Chain……. Cable Chain With Cylinder Tube……. Wheat chain Rolo Chain…….. And for pearls: FWP1079AB-80 Round Fresh Water Pearl …… FWP1089 Irregular Oval Fresh Water Pearl Charms…….. FWP1091 Baroque Fresh Water Pearl Beads - Charms…….. GPJH2008-10 Silver Glass Pearl…….. Of course you can pick and choose what looks good and maybe connect the chain to the pearls just half and half as samples in the video and sorry this is a lot to read 😅 but tell me what you think and weather your confident in making a video soon because I haven’t had a necklace in ages and wanna make something special :)
This my first time ever seen someone do what you just done to the other side that you need to close that a great idea I be will totally try it out on my next necklace or bracelet
I understood jump rings are used for safety. They are breakaway points if the necklace is grabbed or caught. They are also an inexpensive finding to replace. Attaching the clasp directly to the wire guards means the beading wire or clasp would have to break and this will require more force than a jump ring.
That is what I was thinking ! I really do thing that in this particular case the jump ring is a little bit useless because you can just attach the clasp to the wire
Thank you :) yes, here is the link for the beading wire! Yes, it is made of steel athenianfashions.com/products/bwst49-49-strand-bead-stringing-wires?_pos=1&_sid=f70f6e2ef&_ss=r
You are a spectacular teacher! Clear, easy to listen to, and I love the clip at the beginning where you label everything on the table! This was so helpful, and I also love that you included a million little FYIs along the way. I’ve never made a necklace with a front facing toggle, but I believe I have most, if not all, of the individual elements and I am excited to give this a try! Thank you and I look forward to more of your videos!
Thank you for this video! I start making jewelery and I'm not sure about the diameter of my wire for my tiny pearl. The hole of the pearl I want to used is 1mm, can I used the beadalon wire 0.46mm for it? Thanks for your reply
I don’t currently have one available for “men’s bracelets” but many of the videos on our channel show the exact same technique and jewelry making method to create a bracelet for men. Hope this helps!
The best way to ensure it is to push your hands closer together as you’re closing the ring, pass the ring and come back to where they meet. It is important to hear the rings click as you pass them and come back to where they meet. This click will indicate that they are fully enclosed. I show how to do this in almost every single one of videos on our channel :)
Hi Sierra! We carry the beading wire in store only currently. You can place your order online and email us at sales@athenianfashions.com to add the beading wire to your order or you can stop by in store if you live near Los Angeles :)

Great video. Do you have anything for men’s brackets with beads?

What is the correct thickness for the beading wire ?
@@alchemy9227 it depends what size hole your beads have
Is there a way to ensure using the jump ring won't come undone? Other than not using them
