Even though our meals now contain a spoon we oldtimers still carry a PSU cutlery set. I have a Göffel as well the spoon is much better if they have gulasch or soup. The cutlery is in my pack and the Göffel in my jacket pocket. I like the US rations they usually have a more calories meal in them only the cheese is a bit weird but it improves if you slightly heat it up.
I have to wonder about the matches in the MREs. They don't package cigarettes in the MREs any more and you got the FRH, so what are the matches for? Lighting farts? I dunno.
Was it just me Nathan or was that main a bit lacking in size? I always keep the military (from MacDill AFB) MRE's at the fire station and on the rescue squads in case of emergency for the crew or is we get to a location where there is going to be an extended amount of time and the civilians might need some kind of food. Anyway I remember my earlier packs seemed to be about 2 times the size of that main

Opened my Russian MRE, I ordered after watching one of your videos, with my son who is a Drill Sergeant in the Marines. The cheese spread and crackers were really good. Think I'll save the matches and stove for one of my kits - they are neat.
Nathan, right now, a Ukrainian MRE seems so appropriate right now for the channel. Can you please source one and donate that videos ad revenue to those people. If you're not political, that's fine, you can do so anonymously / silently. Also, a Polish MRE would be fitting as well. This would bring at least some small level of acknowledgement to the Ukrainian people via your channel and I think the act of doing this would both be honorable and a wonderful thing from you. Thank you for any consideration on this subject.
IMO this is one of the best MRE's that they ever put out, think it is also one of the longest running production wise. Always looked for Beef Stew
When I was in Korea, we would collect the MRE drink mixes. Then mix them all together and add Soju... good stuff!
This is one of my favorite MRE's. It's even good cold, if you don't mind that slight dog food texture/flavor. My mouth was watering for this one lol.
I remember back in MCT, this MRE was gold because of the friggin Skittles 😂

This was one of the few that were good cold. Didnt always have time for the heater and it was extra weight.

I always heat up the bread and pound cakes. It softens it and makes it a little bit better.

I agree looked smaller to me but last I are MRE was 20 years ago.
They took my skittles in boot camp 😢. Can’t have shit on Parris Island. Btw beef stew very good.
