Good for you your engine has got the oil filter on the upper side.
thanks for the video mate very helpful and informative, cheers buddy and stay safe
thumbs up and thanks for product review!
Great idea filter on engine.Good video Thanks
you lucky person having the filter on the top should have put some old oil on the o ring and put the container on the floor so the oil in the tube drains into the container then i use some spirit in another container about 1/4 litre put the suction hose in the spirit and the other end in the same container and then i grab some degreaser water based about 1/4 of a litre then i put the suction pipe into the container with the water based degreaser and put the discharge pipe into the same container start the pump and flush it through and you have saved about £190 cheers
Great Video !
It may work a bit faster if you could somehow put the collection jug on a lower plane than the pump itself.
RESPECT MATE
By advised-all of the oil cannot be removed from above.
It must be drained from below to get ALL the oil out.
!
You can put the white container on the floor, the pump will work better. In this way the pump doesn`t need to push oil from the Output
Is there for the video only :)
Thanx , number 1 video
Glad you liked it! please subscribe thanks 🙏
Engines like this with the dipstick and upper oil filter are lovely , others are a mess

Hey, don't forget to remove the Old used Oil Jug before you start driving the car again. Just a reminder!
if you want to get all the oil jack your car up on opposite side of dipstick, you only have to jack it up slightly
Thanks i will tray it
@@TechGuruAndrew Good idea in case you get any drips or spillage ;-)
is the pump still working?
Hi can you drain petrol with this?
So, you connected to your battery both the oil pump and the battery charger?
Yes, you can
Best result to put the pipe up through the sump hole at the lowest point that way you get all the oil.
Stupid comment. The "sump hole" is the drain plug... So you're advocating a regular oil change. Get real you troll.
I think it would drain your battery so then your engine wouldn't start so I would prefer an alternative power source
would it also get all the sludge out ? anyways good video mate 😉
Thanks
that for i have connected a battery charger i have said:)
You never get all the sludge out :) even if you drain normally.
TechGuru Andrew does it actually take 14 mins? To drain the oil using he pump? Thanks
No way would that tiny pump drain your battery you are totally safe using your car battery..
Clean dipstick, align small tube to same length as dipstick then Mark where seal is on stick to get reference point, with tube now marked you put straight in and check how far it goes, sometimes its a struggle making sure tube hits bottom of sump, bit of moving around slightly up down and you get the feel.
Then ensure empty container is safe by car, start pump and watch everything.
Stop, sort out filter, oil the new seal replace and tidy up oil drip.
Start pump you will hear it go faster, play around with tube pushing in gently and so on as mentioned.
Once there is no old oil, remove and put safely in bowl to clean it later, then new oil and do the checks.
Don't rev engine until everything is ok.
Follow instructions to clean the pump.
I always ensure pump clean with diesel.
Why not put a link to buy the product? All the link did was take me to pages of product review videos? What did I miss? Thanks.
It works
14 min or 40 min?
👎 Dipstick tube on a VW Golf mk5 1.6 FSI is too thin. Couldn't use the supplied feed tube. Even a spare 5mm tube I had wouldn't fit. No option other than to do an oil change the old fashioned way.
Forgot to lubricate the rubber ring with oil.It is very important!
A lot of people say you should lubricate the rubber seal to be honest I never done it
Take off oil filler cap and will drain more easily
)))))))))))))))))
У меня такой насос не выкачал, а только посадил акумулятор.
А почему?Гуталин в поддоне был из-за редкой замены масла?Или попасть в масло не мог?
Та ладно, быть такого не может) Какая машина?
Buy a cheap battery and use a battery charger to keep it charged. I wish they made it so you could plug it into a wall socket.
You can. The one I bought is 5 Amps @ 12V DC Rating. You get a 10 Amps Wall Plug and just convert it. That way you can have it just like you wanted.
This is ok BUT It must be drained from below to get ALL the oil out!!
It works but design sucks... fuse is soldered inside so don't be surprised if it stops
Maybe dont let the fuse blow? Heat oil to 50°c dont let the pump run for longer than 25mins continuously etc
The oil tube wont fit on Golf 4 1.6 gasoline powered engine 🤣🤣🤣
40 min?...(
Garbage. I am glad it was burned before i took off the oil in the diff. While i was working on gearbox i could pour the oil through the hose from the engine bay.
Faster just to drop oil out sump🤷♂️
On my car you have to jack up and remove belly pan. This takes several minutes, and when oil change is done you have to put belly pan back on. It is held on with several screws that screw in to a plastic fixing. Sooner or later the plastic fixing give way and you have belly pan falling off on the road.
This is why i have also bought one of these pumps.
Or even faster to drop whole sump :-)
@@halltnight I also over tighten my sump plug I didn't know they are so soft and every video I watched did not tell me to be so careful about that. I got it tight enough and then sealed with gasket sealer so I don't want to open again so will buy one these pumps.
But far easier to do this not having to jack the car or roll around the floor...
@@tommyq374 have u used this pump.
