It would be easier and less error prone to do the calculations and plotting in Matlab. They have what I think they call Live Editor which allows you to write your program as if it were a report, but it’s a program. But then you can print it out like a report with all the graphs embedded. All you have to do is make a change in a parameter and all the calculations and graphs are updated. MUCH less clumsy than a spread sheet and MUCH less error prone. You can get a personal Matlab license for I think under $100. If you want to be super cheap your could use the open source Octave, but it won’t have the live editor. Still much better than a spreadsheet IMHO.

To be successful, any new ul should be designed around the engine.
