UWS-4 Center Main Center Spar Design: Part 2a, Additional Lift

- The single largest component of the load on the Main Center Spar is the 'Additional' lift of the wing. Determining the Additional Lift gets us 90% of the way to determining the worst case load on the Center Spar. In a later video we will also look at Basic Lift.
This video is based on the NACA Technical Report 2751:

As always, an excellent understandable approach to the design process. And The Elliptical lift distribution is the 1921 L. Prandlt solution which solves the max lift for a given structure.
Prandtl 1933 is the solution for minimum induced drag for a given structure. This solution is the one nature proved out. (So did NASA recently.)
I look forward to the next part
Looking forward to the Center of Pressure video! I love this stuff.
7:00 the Insert>Equation tool (with the Pi symbol) in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel and such is great for creating equations. I used it to type all my notes from college. Haven't found an equation yet it couldn't create. Just a tip.
🧐 Ja, das ist richtig
AoA is LESS at the tips than the root.
