Hi Phil. Another good video.Although I never set foot in Hall am hospital,as it was known,I did have an occasion to visit the district hospital,in Edward Street.Sue's cousin,Evelyn who we were close to and adored, had to have her 4 wisdom teeth removed. She was on Farley Ward which was female surgical. She went in on the Thursday had her op on the Friday and was discharged on the Monday. We visited her whilst on a weekend pass. This was in July 1970.Nowadays,when you need to have wisdom teeth extracted under a general anaesthetic ,you are in and out within 4 hours.
Hi Phil I don't understand why they would move Accent and Emergency further afield. All they had to do was develop the site a bit more to make it easier for people to access the services .all the best Paul
@@michaelpickering7199 I live on the coast near Montpellier. We do not advertise our enclave because of a possibility of over tourism. I will arrive in Scotland in February but not visit the midlands for logistical reasons.
The newly built hospital is a nightmare to travel too, parking is a joke, bus travel, even worse, Walsall Manor Hospital A&E is inundated, all this in the name of progress.
But why do we have to keep going further, to get any treatment, it was a shame they closed so many small hospitals, they could have made them for the elderly
I can’t understand why it’s built as it has less beds than the two hospitals it’s replaced and it’s cost more to build. Plus the amount of money it’s cost to build new multi story car park such a total waste of money by the health authority.

The main reason the new hospital is where it is to suit the immigrants the hospital is surrounded by them we cannot go around upsetting them can we.
well said

There were once many village hospitals nearly all gone now
I wonder what they will do with the historical work houses, will they be obliterated or saved and rebuilt at the Black Country Museum?

All very strange I dont think the powers that be see a future for this hospital
@@awalkwithphil me neither
I feel this was built mainly for Birmingham people.
At least they haven't got rid of the STD clinic...😂
