Rosamund's character in Saltburn was one of my favourite things about the entire movie. She's so droll and hilarious! Her dialogue with Carey Mulligan's hapless character is pure comedy gold. She definitely deserves an Oscar for her performance!
Superb acting by all the cast. This movie seemed more like a a very dark drama rather than comedy. Very unexpected creepy ending. Worthy of nomination for a variety of categories.
She is such a gem. She was the perfect actress to play Amy in Gone Girl and I absolutely loved her character in Saltburn. Elsbeth was such a sympathetic character despite everything about her being the type of person you generally wouldn’t like.
I had no idea that Rosamund Pike was English. In fact, seeing this movie first, I thought she was actually putting on a British accent...but then her mannerisms did seem British, but just thought "wow she is good". But no clue. I still can't rock with her after "Gone Girl" fully lol, but she's amazing.
You can see her in pride and prejudice 2005 alongside Keira Knightley, also very British in that😅 She actually went to Oxford herself (and is quite posh) so fairly familiar with the subject matter lol
The woman is describing what it was like to live in this estate and get lost in her character and you interrupt her to ask how many bedrooms it had? 🤦♀
Enjoyed the interview. Would love teaching her to play my Greek Lyre so she might come to understand with it would feel like to be an insider ... spiritually, in terms of the joy of feeling alive.
Saltburn's storyline was quite dreadful and familiar however, the acting of every character, especially Oliver (main weirdo), was what made it special.
Rosamund Pike is not getting the recognition due to her...she is an actress to be recon with!!!She deserves an Oscar for heavens sake;that role she played with Ben Afflick ;crushed him to pieces, and made him look like a complete fool!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I found the obsessions of humans to be quite interesting. Many are drawn and obsessed to these figures of affluence and aristocracy who, as Rosamund pointed out with Elspeth, are can be very basic and get bored with cleverness. The true geniuses and clever humans among us get little recognition, outside of their coterie. People who should be more mainstream and garner obsession are sideshow for "The Royals" and Kardashians, etc. It truly is fascinating and mind-boggling.
She is gorgeous a real lady a high class chick , like a dream girl for me but despite me being very successful and wealthy I wouldn’t have the breeding the class of a woman like this
I'm a movie buff and I haven't even seen or heard of half of the nominees films.... That's how you know filmmaking is at a new low. To me this is an obvious win for Rosamund Pike as she was one of those rare supporting characters that was nothing less than utterly essential for the film she was in. The film would of dropped a whole point or star in a 5 point/star scale without her presence and human authenticity she brings to this matter of fact horrible person all things considered.
I find Rosamond Pike strangely attractive, she is a talented actress. As for the film Saltburn. It seemed a bit half baked, not quite realistic enough for me to swallow the narrative i'm afraid.
Strangely attractive? She's been cast as a Bond girl and local beauty Jane Bennett, a former model in Saltburn and a grifter's arm-candy in An Education. She is thin and blonde and very conventionally beautiful.
@@AstraeaAntiope Sorry, no offence intended. I did say she is talented in my mitigation. But i was referring to her persona rather than her looks. On the surface she seems a little cold and detached, but i get the feeling there's an vulnerability, which she uses in her acting to great effect. Happy new year🥂.
She looks a bit like my ex (the eyes). My ex was and still is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. And educated, too. Not Yale but still - a solid Master's degree.
She is far too deep and special for such a superficial interview. OHHH the irony of it all. This was an awful interview. SHE was lovely. Guaranteed they didnt even see the movie lol
Just watched it and it’s not even close to a worst film list. Beautiful cinematography, riveting performances, exquisite location. It WAS however very derivative. The ‘love child’ of Brideshead Revisited and the Talented Mr Ripley ( with a bit of icky unfathomable grave copulation thrown in for good measure)
PLEASE GIVE THIS WOMAN AN OSCAR ALREADY
She should have won for Gone Girl. What a performance.
Gone Girl should've been an easy win for her if Julianne Moore's win wasn't long overdue
She’s such a gem of an actor, love a lot of her works and she truly does stand out in a lot of her projects 😊
Actress
she's Lovely
Her performance in Saltburn was so delicious. Hope she wins some awards for it.
Was kinda meh actually …..
She was brilliant. Loved it!
@@trashtvinternationaldefinite Michael Bay fan here.
Since Gone girl, she's won a golden globe and an Emmy as well. hope one day she'll be an Oscar winner!!

I love how authentic she seems to be. No nonsense. Direct, powerful, tough, convincing, and - extremely beautiful.
She’s a lot more warm, approachable, and funnier than I thought. 🥰
She deserves the Golden Globe.She
was so good in it.
She has been MOTHER to me since I watched Gone Girl! A splendid actress! So delightful to watch!
Saw SALTBURN twice. Her line delivery was so delicious. Maybe not enough meat for Oscar but she needs to be nominated.
I absolutely feel this performance was Oscar worthy.
"Saltburn" is a good film. I encourage you all to see it. Each cast member is so interesting in their own way.
It's a good film for 2/3 of its runtime
we need more Pamela they were hilarious.
It might be until that period scene 🤮🤮🤮 no, thank you! Love rosamund though
She was phenomenal in this film
Superb acting by all the cast. This movie seemed more like a a very dark drama rather than comedy. Very unexpected creepy ending. Worthy of nomination for a variety of categories.
Comedy is not all belly laughs, this is a black comedy
@@marty1159 OP never said that comedy was all belly laughs though, don't misrepresent people's comments
@@marty1159 It's still not comedic. Inside no. 9 is a black comedy but this is a dark drama.
@@eily_bnah it’s definitely a comedy, just a tragic one
Rosamund is brilliant! As always 💙💙💙
I just love her. A wonderful actor and truly beautiful human, inside and out.
Pure Class. Love her xx
Rosemund explained the movie very well.
She is too gorgeous for this world. I still crushing on her since Die another day. I am 25 years old guy. I wish she was young in this generation
I watched Saltburn earlier this week. It was an amazing film!
I love her! Anytime I find out she's in something I watch it for that reason alone. She was soooo good in Saltburn!
She is absolutely exceptionally beautiful and exceptionally talented
Gone Girl will always be one of my favourite movie.
2:34 That's very true what she says, the Monarchy or aristocracy isn't the same as wealth and celebrity, it transcends both of those things.
Which is bloody disgusting. Down with class systems , it’s ridiculous for humans to think they are better than each other.
@@orangemascara I agree with that.
It is what it is
Ross is absolutely incredible
No mention of The Wheel of Time, in which Pike is so good
So good in Gone Girl!
She is such a gem. She was the perfect actress to play Amy in Gone Girl and I absolutely loved her character in Saltburn. Elsbeth was such a sympathetic character despite everything about her being the type of person you generally wouldn’t like.
Every time I hear her original accent after Gone girl I just can't believe how good an actress she is
It’s not an accent, it’s English.

Awesome performance for her!
Rosamund Pike plays the part to its very best….👍👍
I love hearing hosts try to explain Saltburn...it's all over the map.
I've watched Saltburn three times already. The entire cat deserves a award.
Fabulous woman. Fabulous actress. I would definitely have a cocktail with her anytime.
Get in line. 😉
OMG feeling like the alien in the room, never on the inside is a fantastic way to describe how I have always felt living my life.
omg i thought her accent in saltburn was like an exaggerated spoof of that english upscale accent, but nope that's her real accent! Love her!
Just beautiful ❤
I hope they both win!
Love her
Terrific deep movie. It will be studied for years to come.

I think she was Jane in Pride and Prejudice (2005), right?
Yup
And Carey Mulligan as Kitty.
Saltburn is deep, gripping psychological drama for people who line up for Stanley tumblers and think Lana Del Ray is "actually me"
lol, agreed.

Such class and beautiful eyes

Saltburn is a bast! Really enjoyed it. Not for everyone though.
AMAZING TALENTED ACTRESS AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ON EARTH! I AM IN LOVE WITH HER! THE PERFECT WOMAN IN EVERY WAY

Brittons: 👀 that’s not nice darling
She would of been excellent as Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones.
Hello rosemond❤❤
I noticed they discreetly hopped over her role in DooM. Shame, as that was a much better film than folk give it credit for.
Rosamund Pike put in the style of an upper class Brit is “quite the top totty!”.😜

Comedic thriller? Really?
No, drama/thriller/horror.
She is a terrific actress, but Saltburn is just awful. I wasted two hours watching it to the end. She wasn’t even featured enough in it.
