How do you go from the customer accepting your estimate to the sub-contractor accepting the job? Do you have the sub come look at the project after the owner accepted the estimate? Do you ask the home owner if you can bring the sub by to look at the project? Thank you Eric. You're doing a great job teaching!
We have a relationship with our subcontractors. We bid our jobs systematically. Once a sub has done a few jobs for us, we know that our pricing is going to be a good fit for both parties. So once a sub is working with us consistently, we meet them once a week and hand off all the job folders they'll be doing. Then we communicate with the customer and the subcontractor (just as if they were our in house team) about the timing of the job, when they'll show up and start, who will be the primary contact throughout the job, etc... They show up to do the job, they finish the job, collect the check, they give us the check, we give them theirs.
When we initially recruit a new sub we have a handful of steps we go through to screen them and ensure the relationship is a good fit. Once we know we want to work together, we meet at a job and discuss the pricing and make sure we can agree on a price. We closely monitor the first job or two by stopping in daily. We do this process the first 2-4 jobs then as trust is built, we remove ourselves and only visit 10-20% of job sites at all once we have a good relationship with a sub.
All of this is covered in detail in my training program: www.paintingbusinesspro.com/course
PaintingBusinessPro Thank you for clarifying the process for me. It makes sense. I'll definitely look at your course. Thanks again Eric!

Have you ever hired a sub contractor for the first time and you get to the job site and it’s one big mess and you realize that they have no idea what they’re doing? That’s happened to me before.
Yea.. but that's easily preventable too.
re upload :(
i was excited to learn something new
I got new stuff coming soon. Sorry for the double up! Just trying some things.
Did you start off doing the work yourself ? Or is this how you started ? And what is the best way to go about starting this business?
I have a long backstory. But the best way to start would be to download my start up guide on the website. That'll teach you a LOT. www.paintingbusinesspro.com

HomeAdvisor used to be called ServiceMagic and they sucked.
There is a lot to complain about, no doubt. But there are also a lot of people who make a lot of money using those services as well.
Is painterchoice dot com your company? It has the same logo as your business so it seems like you are just promoting your own online website
Yea these videos were done originally in 2012-2013. I became a co-owner of Painter Choice in late 2013 and didn't want to take down the videos.
Hate to say it but the leads your company sent !e are by far the worst leads I have ever recieved and I'm on craftjack And homeadvisor. A refund would be nice
