I don’t make content for fiction. It’s an entirely different beast in itself. It’s subjective and is solely reliant on social proof (1000+ reviews) or an existing audience in which you can market too. (Off Amazon). Maybe one day I will make more content but 99% of my audience is self-publishing low content/non-fiction so I am sticking to that content for now :)
Thank Goddess you asked this question Bonnie! Over the last couple of days I have asked a similar question on his videos and have not received an answer as of yet. Now I know why and what I suspected was the reason is actually the reason. I am a writer of two books so far of quirky absurd laugh out loud short stories, similar to…you might say David Sedaris, Kurt Vonnegut, etc. and I’m just in my very first week ever of trying to sell on Amazon and stumbling along through the dark moist Misty hallways of the process. (don’t you love that my voice text capitalized Misty!) Ha.
Hey Ken, another great video. Do you cover medium content book creation and marketing inside publisher mastery? or are hyou focusing on high content exclusively? I just watched one of your video where you suggested publishing low and medium before moving into high content to get a better understanding of the process...
Glad you enjoyed it! The main focus of the content inside if for high content. However, it still might be a valuble place for insight. There is a few people inside who do low/medium content and utilize the heavily discounted coaching calls and collaboration. For now, maybe checkout my “complete low content publishing guide video” if you haven’t already. I do plan on making more content for low and medium content for inside skool but I simply haven’t had the time to prioritize it. It’s part of the end goal for sure.
Hi Ken. Regarding launching High Content Books. Your vids on these are great btw. Do you do anything outside of Amazon for a book you have completed ready to launch? Do you also look at social media for example? If so, it would be great to get your thoughts and processes for doing this with High content products. Are there other platforms after a KDP launch that you also look at, to drive traffic to your Amazon listing, such as Google?
appreciate the support! I personally don’t. The reason being is if I chose a good enough search term, there should be more than enough traffic to get lots of sales if I do it properly. However, any boost of sales is good, so stuff off Amazon is good but sometimes it takes more time and money than you get out of it!
Yes! Simply edit your product listing and it just edits the book while stil being live. You can also edit the manuscript! Just don’t unpublish your book

Thanks so much! lol I love that!
How about a video of tips for self-publishing on Amazon, for those of us who write fiction?

I have a question for you, Ken. If I change my book cover, does everything else stay the same, meaning all my reviews and campaigns and ranking?
Yes! Simply edit your product listing and it just edits the book while stil being live. You can also edit the manuscript! Just don’t unpublish your book
@KenSelfPublishing that's fantastic. Thanks Ken!
How many reviews do you recommend for a launch?
The more the better but 10 is the low end to start running Amazon ads!
