Great Dyno run, wish you had test it @ 2 ohms as well but it’s a good test as hifi Vega did a test and was saying these amps don’t have a lot of underrated power and the birth sheet says it does 1100 watts at 2 ohms and we just seen it do 1156 @ 4 ohms mono so must be underrated, and these amp is advertised as a 800a2 so yea packs a punch
You should read what the dyno says for power output on every run. I can’t see the numbers because the camera is moving all over the place. Seems like you are rushing through it. Love the old school Rockford stuff. Excited to see the numbers.
@@amplifierdynovideos9606 Always had a passion for car audio and a buddy from HS had either a 500a2 or 800a2 on 2 old school Pioneer Premiers, I think. Aluminum front with 5 little raised spots for the design. I’m sure you’ve seen them. But sounded great at the time so it went into the newly started collection. Do you have an IG?
Dyno this beast @ 2 ohms dynamic please just one time. Please just once I’ve ran this amp at 2ohms for a long time and everyone I know that’s had them as well.
I thought this was Big D Wiz brother. Ha! I was an old school car audio installer in the late 80's early 90's. That's a good amount of RF amps. I also saw JL Audio? Which model is that one? I still have some of my 500/1 V1.
These were built for huge dynamic headroom, living up to the trademark rockford "punch" they were known for. Great vid!
Thanks, they even listed dynamic ratings in the manual!
I'm surprised how glued to the rated power this test showed. These are from the notoriously underrated days for competition.

Awesome bro, that dynamic mono power surprised me . Good job ,keep it up
Thanks, I'll hopefully have some better quality soon!
@@amplifierdynovideos9606 they can run good power @ 2 Ohms too I had mines wired down to 2 Ohms and man does this amp ROCK.
Ive also had friends run them @ 1 0hm but they get too hot.

I always put the results in the description, I am always rushing, don't have much free time so these videos are quickies
Amplifier Dyno Videos how would I see that when I’m watching UA-cam on my TV? I don’t think that’s possible.
@@amplifierdynovideos9606 can you test it bridged @2ohms and @1ohm
Whats your power bank consist of? Your voltage is very consistent.

Nice collection man. I have 2 800a2’s myself and just picked up a 225.2 recently. 👍🏻
Thanks, stocking up on this style of amp!

No Instagram yet, more a2 amps to come though!

Can we get that 360a2 on the dyno? I have one running a JL Audio 10w1v2 in my truck and id love to see what its actually capable of.
Why not the 2 ohm mono test 😞
Can you please do a 750s? Found one for $100 and haven't hooked it up yet.
Can you fosgate guys help me out with this question? Can you please tell me if the punch 800a2 and 800.2 the same amp with different heat sinks?
One is the punch 800a2 and the other is the power 800. One difference is the punch has a 12db slope and the power has a 24db slope
Surprising it's not really hitting its rated @2Ω into each channel.
Could possibly be that it needs more power wire, but I didn't have 2 of that size ready to go
Test a t40001bd
Literally have on leaning against a wall just waiting for the time...
