I do not have need for a breast reduction, but I found your video very informative. I'm sure many women will appreciate all your insight into the process. Thank you for being brave and sharing your journey.
I do not regret my breast reduction - I would do it again 10 times! I had suffered enough and was emotionally prepared. But of course, there are some months of adjustment. Worth it!
You are amazing to share on such a personal subject. You look so much lighter, I dont mean lighter in weight just lighter like you can breathe easier and happier. Glad the surgery was a success.
Wait! Its been a year??!! Wow time is moving too fast. Congrats on the baby. You'll be a wonderful mommy. Happy Holiday's to you, your family and everyone watching!!
You’ve ALWAYS told us the truth about home stuff. We’ve trusted ourselves to laugh with you and to trust you. This personal sharing is so important and appreciated, Kiva. ❤
I had to wait until 60 to have my breast reduction. Almost 70 now and I am still so happy! I had wanted one since I was 13 years old. I was already a full C then and it only got worse. It was so refreshing to have people finally look me in the eyes when speaking to me. I had no idea that was even a thing. 😅
Thank you for posting this Kiva! I’ve wanted a breast reduction since high school. Currently on my weight loss journey and then plan to finally have it done at 48 years old. I’m scared! The scaring is a very big concern for me. As are the drains. Thank you for being so candid. You have just reassured me that even though it will be a process, it will 100% be worth it in the end.
To anyone even remotely contemplating this - go for it! Best thing I ever did, and had I known of a good surgeon I’d have done it 40 years ago and saved myself a life of misery. No pain whatsoever post-surgery, just couldn’t carry anything heavy for a few weeks - I was back at work 3 days later!! Don’t live in misery like me.
You look amazing!!! I had a double mastectomy a year ago with reconstruction. Although that was a different beast, when you mentioned those drains!!!! OMG!!! GURL!!! THOSE drains haunt me.😂 I can laugh now. But i remember crying because they hurt so bad some days. A lot of how you described the process was so relatable on so many levels!!! Thanks for sharing.❤
I am happy for you,you look amazing. I just had a breast reduction,it’s been 5 weeks,I was in so much pain before I had it done ,no pain now loving the way I feel . Thank you for sharing your story, take care 🤗
Thanks for being so vulnerable and sharing. I’m sure it wasn’t easy but it is a decision many of us have considered and it’s great to be better informed. You look incredible and I bet it feels life changing!
Dear Kiva I had a big problem with inflammation in my body.Because of this I want to share with you that I have done and doing Ketovore and Carnivore lifewtyle… Thank you for your total honesty of your procedure and experience. You are are love and appreciated.🤗🇨🇦💖🙏🏼
Kiva, what a great video, I think soo many ladies are going to find this helpful! And can I say at the 5.50 mark when you’re wearing the white dress you are glowing with beauty and happiness! Thank you for bringing your joy to the world and Merry Christmas to you and your Family!
wow now I understand more why you kinda broke down manic crying post surgery vlog. It was very hard for you to see the drastic changes and still see yourself. Glad you feel better and more comfortable with the new you. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for being so vulnerable and sharing these details. I always watch you for your other content but also loved this video. ❤ I’m 62, 5’1” and have similar breast issues (38G); I wish the reduction surgeries had been as prevalent and people had openly discussed them when I was your age - I also think they contribute to my back issues. Not sure at this point if I’d do the reduction but your video was very informative. Congrats on taking the plunge and continued good health and happiness with your choices!
Kiva - you're so beautiful and such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your experience. At 61 years old, I've been seriously thinking about breast reduction and your honesty has helped me so much. I'll probably be the oldest person to get a reduction, but there's no time like the present to make changes that will make me feel better.
I had breast reduction surgery and I wish someone had been so honest and given me insight before I had the surgery. I’m very happy I had surgery, but I wish I had someone give me a heads up about the details. You’re absolutely correct when you say the drains were the worst part.
holly cow you are so tiny now! I didn't realize the reduction was going to make such a huge impact! I hope that it has made life infinitely easier for you, which in turn will make your motherhood journey easier.
You are so right that it is helpful to others to discuss issues like breast reduction!! Thank you. I've always had sm-med breasts but have now had a lumpectomy and radiation. Even tho' the process, surgery , snd recovery is different for each woman no one give more personal support, helpful hints, and a listening ear like someone else who's been through it. We need to help each other, for iur health. ( I also often still wear my Haynes! It's comfort but also a finger to our society's artificial image of perfection.)
Wow, I don't know how I found this, but a reduction is my #1 when I reach Medicare age, as right now I have only a healthshare program. I appreciate your transparency, and now I want to look into doing it right away...
KB I’m 70 and want a breast reduction but I’m not sure at my age it’s worth the time and money. I do appreciate your very open, candid thoughts and points. 1 suggestion I have for you is to use castor oil on your scars. Just make sure it’s organic, cold pressed, and in a brown Glass bottle. I use it daily as a moisturizer on my face. As a moisturizer after a shower on legs and arms. Research the benefits of using castor oil you will be shocked. Love you and all your great videos. ❤❤
BEST decision I ever was able to do! My biggest problems or saggy my breast were from giving birth and breastfeeding. Luckily Insurance covered it for me but it required for me to go down dramatically. Which I don’t even care. Cause I love my new ones!
Oh thank you so much for sharing your experience!! It’s so helpful to have you do a show and tell- I don’t know anyone who has had the same problem with breast size. I wish I had gotten the surgery a long time ago… now I don’t know… I might be too old. However watching your videos is so encouraging that I will bring it up with my MD at my annual exam. Thank you again. (I love ALL your videos. ) 💕💕💕
Thank you for sharing your experience & educating us! Its so helpful for researching procedures & nice to see a real person I trust to share their experiences.
I'm a FF/G and while for now I'm still okay with how they look, I've started experiencing a lot of pain (shoulder and back) and discomfort in the past year. And the funny thing is I've lost weight since I've been on my running journey this year, but my boobs have stayed the same size (I swear they feel heavier too). I've only very recently considered a breast reduction (especially if its continuing to impact my day to day life). But it's very early stages and I'm still gathering information.. So thank you for the video, its been very, very helpful!
Thanks so much for sharing. I'm not looking to have a breast reduction but was very interested to hear your journey. I think you look great, and I'm glad it was all worth it for you.
Kiva you look amazing!! Very brave of you to share your journey with the world. I am sure your honesty will help many others contemplating the surgery 😁 Wishing you, Babe and baby a beautiful holiday together 🥰
Thank you for the honest deep dive on this surgery you look great and its very helpful to understand the procedure and the outcome-plus you are very funny and relatable! You addressed all the issues i had questions about although for me I would want a breast lift. Definitely major surgery.
Wow.. Kiva.. I would just like to echo what your UA-cam family is saying in the comments.. Thank you for this wonderful video! So much respect to you for sharing your experience! I am so happy you are happy with your decision and outcome. Much love and thanks to you..
You are so adorable. I have been talking about getting a reduction since I was a teenager. My surgeon wanted me to lose some weight. before I have my reduction. So probably next year sometime. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I truly appreciate you.
Thanks so much Kiva for sharing your experience! I’m scheduled to have surgery in February. I’ve been wanting to do it for over 20 years but chickened out! I appreciate this insight! You look great!🙌🏽 Happy holidays!🎄
I had a reduction and would do it again if needed. It was an outpatient surgery - very little pain- could not wear an underwire bra for 6 months . My clothes look better- I feel fabulous- my lifestyle is much more active because they're not bouncing around and getting in the way. I have two friends that had implants and had to get them redone twice- then decided due to health issues to get them removed. Large breasts are not easy to deal with either way- implants or just big breasts .
I had one when I was 20 and couldn’t be happier. I had it done in 1988 and things are done differently now. It does take awhile to readjust to the changes. You look fabulous ❤❤. I just wish he made me smaller. 😉
I had mine in 1997. I imagine they are soooooooooo much better now but I don't and have never regretted anything--except not doing it sooner! I was able to wear normal bras after 3 months or so. Definitely remember the cone phase.
Kiva thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am thinking about getting a breast reduction and you have made my decision quite easy ❤️ Happy Holidays to you and your family 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄❤️
You look great and I’m so happy you’re happy with it. I knew someone that had I think she was on her third breast reduction because they kept growing back. I had no idea, I don’t know if that’s hormonal or if your doctor ever said, that was a possibility. But I had no idea that could happen.
I had large breasts also. I had considered reduction. However. I found a lump and ended up with cancer in 2 quadrants on one. The cancer was driven by excess estrogen. So I made the choice of bilateral mastectomy with tissue reconstruction. The surgery failed on the cancer side but not on the other. I ended up removing the tissue and getting implants. Any surgeries around our bodies is tough! And yes, the drains are awful but necessary.
I had a breast reduction in 2016 and my only advice is make sure that you do it AFTER you’re done having kids. I thought I didn’t want kids back then, but after I got married we decided to have one. My breasts went right back to their original size and even though I was happy with the surgery, there was so much internal damage to the milk ducts that breastfeeedikg was impossible (like drinking an ice cream milkshake through a straw) so I ended up pumping for 6 months (3x the work of nursing and you lose a LOT more sleep) until my mental health couldn’t handle it anymore….. TLDR folks: it’s great, you’re boobs are going to be perky and smaller with less shoulder and back pain. But it could cause some heartache if you have it when you’re not done having kids.
You look fabulous! I also had a reduction. My nipples always show too. I bought some Cakes nipple covers and they take care of that issue. Give them a try. Get the large size. Nobody knows that you are wearing them. They are grippy and not sticky. All the best Kiva. ❤
Thank you for continuing to share this journey. The nipple thing happens to most women after breast feeding. That was one thing I was not prepared for after having my kids. I was like ‘that won’t happen to me’ - wrong wrong wrong. So annoying- have to always have some padding. The more I think about it the more I would like this done. You look great and very proportional. Tired of each of my boobs being bigger than my face LOL.
It’s a safe space and you are beautiful. You favor one of my daughters, so I may be a little biased.😂 However, thank you for sharing, I am in the same position you were in. I am a H now and have considered reduction, but I have been scared. 🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for being so candid. I'll bet you've helped a lot of people by being so brave, vulnerable, and open about health struggles and treatment.
Got mine in 2003. BEST THING I EVER DID FOR MYSELF. no regrets
What a brave video Kiva. You look fantastic.
I do not regret my breast reduction - I would do it again 10 times! I had suffered enough and was emotionally prepared. But of course, there are some months of adjustment. Worth it!
Exactly!! So well said :)
Did one. Don’t regret in the least.
You are amazing to share on such a personal subject. You look so much lighter, I dont mean lighter in weight just lighter like you can breathe easier and happier. Glad the surgery was a success.
This is a great, honest, frank discussion. I am so happy you are happy with the way you look. That, my friend, is worth everything!!
You are so sweet and honest. The truth is. always good. Real is you.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aw thank you!! You’re too sweet :)

I have breast cancer and I really struggled to find a comfortable bra post op. I found the honeylove wireless bras are the most comfortable for me.
Thanks for sharing such a personal story including before and after pix. I admire you.

You are a strong, courageous, beautiful woman.
Wow thank you so much!!
You look great!! I feel ya with the hate for surgical drains. I had them for an ankle surgery and they were awful 😖

Helpful comment! I’ve been wondering about this
I think she said her partner had the baby
Girl, your beautiful!! Rejoice

It’s a safe space and you are beautiful. You favor one of my daughters, so I may be a little biased.😂
However, thank you for sharing, I am in the same position you were in. I am a H now and have considered reduction, but I have been scared. 🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for sharing your journey.
You look fantastic!!! Do what makes you comfortable.
Good for you ! you are looking great. keep on keeping on
Wow, you look great! And you look thinner too. Happy Holidays to you, wife & little baby!
You may be having a bad skin day but I couldn't tell. Your skin looks beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your story it will help women make a decision about having the surgery. Your body looks gorgeous.
I had a friend who had a breast reduction and tubes tied. She called it a bubal-tubal.
Well ,you look great. Is your back any better? Is it easier to carry the baby? Have a wonderful Christmas 💕
You look beautiful! So happy for you.
Thank you so much!!
Surgery in 2021, went from HHH to DD. Don't wear a bra at all anymore, just undershirt & camisole.
I have a cups but I still found this video very informative, I work in the surgical department, and I've seen a few reductions, mastectomy, and I've seen implants. I'm not there for any aftercare, but I still like to know what patients are going through after surgery.
You look amazing 💖
Thank you!!
Good for you, I think you look fabulous! If you're happy with your results then I call that a success!
I'm large and one day hope to get the surgery. They're heavy and in my way! 😝
You're so awesome!!!!! What a great video. P.S. you're also quite loveable. I always enjoy your videos
You look GOODT!! I had one and I looooove it!!!!! No drains were needed, and scars be damned. I couldn't hide that stomach anymore tho😂😂😂
Congratulations 🎉
Try using, cocoa butter and aquaphor for the scarring areas.... I had to buy expensive underwire bras and it was a visible difference in my wardrobe fittings..DDD..You looking amazing..😊
Kiva you look great!!
You look amazing, good for you ❤
