With this new META AM 29 there’s definitely more of a chance you’ll feel like this!
The bike picks up speed everywhere and it makes the rider feel comfortable and in control, so they can't help but get more and more involved!

Like the RIDE model, this build features RockShox new enduro fork the ZEB, with 38mm uppers for more stiffness and precision.

I also got my meta 29 2020, i bought it because it's a bargain now with the new models. And the changes might benefit the pro's to find some marginal gains. But the bike is a weapon. just shred it!

@@snakebiteparadise5504 Yea your're absolutley right. I think the 2020 version is the better all around bike tbh. I guess the ultra slack headangle could be annoying during steep climbs.
Other companies should take note of Commencal's marketing. They have the best of all.

I love Commencal but man, can’t get over the new Meta’s head tube being slacker than the Supreme DH. Like, what?

So? It’s not as long, and not as low, and the head angle isn’t extreme enough to make it inefficient. I think it’s fine, and right on par with the longer and shocker makeover almost every modern bike is getting.

is this good for climbing also? Can you lock out the suspension or to what degree? I like going uphill but also down very fast on steep trails jumping etc.
The previous version, I have a 2019 model (same as Amaury pieron La réunion vidéo you tube) , it can climb but I went pedalind with a guy who had a giant trance 29 and he was more efficient, a bike like the meta cost a lot of energy in hard up hill sections. And finally we meet a lot of this type of sections moreover if you want a bike capable to do everything well (that don't exist) . Finaly this new model of the meta is more capable to climb but I never try it. I will try mine in bike park soon and there is no doubt it's a monster for dh, but not as fun as a 27.5, it's difficult to do manuals, buny hop, and take the corner it's just different than a 27.5. The meta need speeeed and full gaz.
Taste this new version I think you won't be disapointed.
The canyon strive is very good at uphill, the propain tyee and nuke proof also.

@COMMENCAL Bicycles what frame size did he chose?
I want to know this too. At 5'9, I wonder if the reach will be too long, or even if the bike is too slack. I've been trying to decide between the TR and AM for a week now. Can't decide.

@@dukeofmtb I'm the same size. I rode the '19 Meta AM L size a few weeks ago. It had a reach of 460mm but actually felt shorter. Also rode the new Tyee size L. 470mm reach and same wheelbase as the new Meta AM medium sized. It felt very good and stable but the long chainstays stopped it from being playful. Otherwise I'd bought it. I finally went with the new Meta AM Team Medium. I also thought about the TR but in the end the better components won. If I'd be riding tours everyday I'd definitely had gone with the TR. But I'm sure the bike won't feel to long. This is the exact amount of reach and wheelbase I was looking for.

He might be cold but he's not miserable, i have a meta 29 too and they are so much fun, even on climbs.

haha, dude. I just switched from 27,5 to 29 and i kinda get where you are going :) But, man. when i'm pushing it i'm going way faster than i ever did on 27,5 and it becomes sketchy and exiting again.
It's completly different to ride but i wouldn't say it's for girls. What got me over the line is that 29 now corners like its 27,5. This was the main reason i didn't want it before.

@@freakinwicked you might be surprised, i was at least. I have been riding a lot the past month and boy has this bike grown on me.
My first impression was fuck! I believed the marketing machine about 29. But after a month of riding and repeating trails from last year. I shaved 4minuts of a 12min downhill trail. And this is because of the bike. Anyway, its about the riding and your riding style. For me it works great. For others it might not. Keep shredding!
@@snakebiteparadise5504 yeah i tried a 29er and its way slower in the Corners but feels super fast on the Highways.... But i am more into Styling and having fun on my Bike then Just beeing a Bit faster. So for me i will stay on 27,5 🤟
