- Looking at the specifications and the photo's of the TR80 Lite, it seems to be a bit different than other 4080 profile cockpits. It's all in the details.

Finally a in depth video! Thank you! Mine should be arriving in sept!
Thank you for the kind words. I am sure you will have tons of fun with it. Enjoy friend 💙
Of the TR80, Prime Lite, and X80 are they all able to take a regular sparco seat? haven't been able to find much about seat connectivity on their respective sites
Yes. They all have adjustable extrusion beams that will allow you to fixate different seats. With Sparco, or at least the ones I have seen, you will need to have seat raisers that attach by the sides of the chair (different with certain OMP that have attachment holes at the bottom) and attach those to the seat rails.
Thank you.
Great video... i have only one question... this tr 80 lite at 420 euro, gtomega prime lite at 400 euro or simlab gt1 evo at 450 euro? Most important characteristics for me are style total rigidity and the price... please help me
Rigidity and price (shipment included) is GTO Prime Lite. Style is TR80 Lite. Making the Prime Lite more stylish will cost less than making the TR80 more rigid.
great video, thanks! would you go for the prime lite or the TR80 lite if you had to choose? Or would both be an equally valid option?
Close call between those. The wheeldeck of the Prime lite seems a bit more fixed and it has the extra vertical profile for the shifter which stiffens the frame a bit more, but I love the details of the TR80. I don't want to pick a favorite 😅
@@SimulatedDrivingResource awesome, thanks! That's actually all i needed to hear because in my ears, having to choose between either, that means that i should get the one that comes cheapest. And with the current sales going on it's 150€ difference in favor of the omega prime lite. So i'll be ordering mine tomorrow! 😄 It won't be in stock before mid august tho so i'll have to be patiënt!
For 150€, the choice is easily made. For 1/3 of that amount you can add some color yourself if you would want. What seat did you take with it? Dont forget the discount code when you order. I think it was GTO5
@@SimulatedDrivingResource yeah that code's part of the reason for the price difference. I'll be buying the rs12 seat. Rs9 is out of stock and RS6 i'm not too sure about. I'm quite tall but not really big so the XL RS won't be necessary. Think the rs12 Will give me some extra comfort.
Rs12 is comfortable and stylish. Good choice. Rs6 and 9 are not bad, but they look and feel cheaper. And especially since you are a bit taller, they would certainly not suit you as good as the 12
PLS HELP!!
I want to buy my first Rig but have one big problem.
TR80 Lite or SimLab GT1 Evo? Which one is the better choice
I prefer the TR80 Lite.
@@SimulatedDrivingResource Why? I thought the Sim-lab GT1 Evo is the benchmark for aliminium profile rigs. Which one is most rigid?
@@BostonFaith the GT1 Evo is an absolutely fine rig. I just like the TR80 better for its price, the comprehension of TR for estethics and the TR80 Lite configuration options. In sturdiness, the GT1 might be a bit better but not much.
Is the chair adjustable and how tall are you
Yes, with (optional) seat raisers and (optional) seat rails.
And I am 1m73... I lost 1 cm to gravity 🙄
I have Asetek La Prima and plan to upgrade to 18nm when they offer the upgrades. This rig says max 10nm, but also able to mount wheelbases that far exceed 10nm. So, are they being very conservative or you would say that is the max you can use on this rig ? Seems very low for an aluminium rig. Or trying to cheat customers to buy higher priced rigs
They are protecting themselves against people that are allergic to flex. Even with my CSL dd, there was flex on the wheelbase. But I dont mind it that much really and it probably could be solved by adding a few connectors. Its upto you really. I personally never saw the use of those more expensive alu rigs but again, I am also not the most difficult person in the world.
I have this rig, and there’s no flex, it’s solid metal to the ground, weight a ton, you definitely gonna need wheels to move it around
A set of wheels is always a good investment 👌
What nm wheel are using?
How is everything going?
Heya PJ. Just fine. Am having a hard time finding affordable hardware to test but in good health and happy in life. How is you doing?
@Neosphinx As good as it can be in the states. Family is good. Might pick up a bundle from Fanatec, just to be able to race. No rig though.
Its tickling again to race 😏 am glad you are OK too. You could always print your own rig 😅 how is the business going?
@Neosphinx resin printer is gone. Not the printers fault, just too hot to print in the garage. So I got rid of it. Filament isn't working very well. Going to try a direct drive filament feeder to see if it gets rid of the problem.
How much weight do you think this could hold? My uncle is about 300lbs
These profiles are pretty strong. I think he will be fine on it unless he plans on adding motion. Then I would opt for a more heavy profile.
Hello, how much nm is dd pro 5 or 8?
Eh.. you can have the DD Pro in both 5 and 8Nm. I have 8.
Which one you tested on tr80
@@mariobaric5480 8Nm
they all good, waaaaaaay overpriced, as if you spend one hour planning or searching online, yuu can find the EXACT same idea, not a brand name, for 200bux..... but the WORST part is that hey have the AUDACITY to charge you 350+ dollars for a SEAT!.... i went about a month ago to my local junkyark... there was a 15 corvette there destroyed.... seat in perfect shape... 10 bux..... so i build my own rig... for 208 dollars material including shipping, and 10 bux the seat....
I don't know where you live that you can buy all the elements of the rig for only $200 but here the cost of the aluminium profiles, screws, angle brackets, feet, t-nuts, covers, and all other standard elements exceeds €450. And on top of that I would have to get all the custom elements like base, pedal, shifter, and seat mounts which is additional cost. Prime lite in comparison is only €408 with all the necessary elements, and I don't have to worry about the design. As for the seat, you can't really compare the price of a new seat to one from a scrapyard. Scrapyards don't have to manufacture it so they basically get it for free and also on top of it they get paid for the disposal, they also don't have the costs of distribution etc. They would even make money if they gave it away for free (saves them the costs of disposal).
That has been my experience too when I built my custom one. Especially a wheelbase and pedal base plate is a large cost.
@@zaraza. Boston mass... Full rig 8020, 205bux
@@Patrik.Pereira You will not buy it for that price in Europe, and I also doubt you will get it in US. Unless you are again talking about some stuff scavenged from a scrapyard.
