Thank you much for your comment and your interest! There are no dive shops, but you can book scuba trips with tour operators like Northern Explorers (they invented scuba in East Greenland) You have to bring your own gear, except tanks and weights of course. Your gear have to suitable for the coldest water, -1,6 C during winter.
Floating icebergs can roll over or on some icebergs, ice parts can break off underwater an ascend to the surface. Like on the iceberg in this video. Parts broke off during the night an blocked the icehole. If the iceberg is frozen in an icefield the risk of rolling over is minimized. Floating icebergs should not be high above the watersurface to enjoy peace in mind diving. On high icebergs parts can break off, fall in the water, the iceberg becomes unstable and roll over then
we are wearing drysuits with a thick undersuit. addtitional i put several layers of Merino wool undergarment on. i use heated gloves. Some guys dive with three finger neopren gloves. You become wet in these gloves but they keep surprisingly warm, warmer then my heated gloves. there are also heating systems for the whole undersuit on the market. But i do really well with my gear and made several dives around one hour.
Beautifull video,I would like to try diving under the ice.....congratulations to divers, camermans and producer! Greetings from Serbia

Awesome place for diving. Is there diving schools in Greenland or it is up to the diver to bring own equipment?

For these dives, what are the risks of sudden ice movements under the water?
