UK - US: George & Mildred - The Ropers

Both spin offs from "Man About the House" & "Three's Company" respctively. "The Ropers" did not last long. "George & Mildred" only ended because the actress playing Mildred passed away.

The main difference between the two shows is that "George & Mildred" were able to step up and still be as engaging and funny as lead characters on their own show.
Whereas "The Ropers" proved that Stanley and Helen functioned far better and more effectively as supporting characters as opposed to taking the spotlight and leading a spinoff which fell flat.......

The US Tristram looks like UK Tristram and US Anne Fourmile of course looks a bit like U.K. Anne Fourmile
