This video proves why this channel isn't viral.
Other youtubers: Do DSA. You are now a programmer. Now you can by a house , buy a car , drink on weekends. Become ultra rich after investment in stock market.
Harkirat : Explains a complex computer science problem.
No emotional appealing . No bullshit.
It would be really nice harkirat if you could make a video explaining the roadmap on how to REALLY learn backend.
I would like to create an argument here, would be happy if people give comments also
- when they say do DSA, they are actually providing a full proof plan that has worked for thousands..not 100s, literally 1000s. the investment of time is also less, maybe 8 months to 12 moths
- the one harkirat is saying is really passionate engineering, that takes years to compound and the skills also takes time to stack upon, it's mostly about how to be a pragmatic engineer
now the question is
- if you come from a family where meeting the month end expenses are difficult, then will you spend 2-3 years to build pragmatic engineer level skills or will you do just DSA, just crack an interview and provide to your family with 20LPA
where I am coming from with this point? I have been working in a service based company for last 3 years, I couldn't learn DSA in 6 months, I am not a pragmatic engineer too. But I am good at what I do, I am in DevOps
but slowly I am entering into pragmatic engineering cuz now I am not running after money, I am actually curious about engineering.
I belong to a poor family, but as I am in wfh , I am able to meet the monthly expenses and able to provide time to DSA, systems design, open source... Donno when I will click a good company
But out of 3yrs of ex, I can definitely say I will take a huge amount of time-the passionate way
DSA is the shortcut
My opinion - folks who sell DSA are also correct, but passionate engineers are also correct... Apart from Harkirat I would suggest to see the content of theprimegen, theprimetime, teejaydev....these folks discuss serious engineering while live streaming..they don't sell shit, they are doing it for fun
@@asutoshpanda1508 i understand your point.
@asutosh panda That's not my point bro. Everyone needs to pay the bills man but if students don't know the truth about software industry they end up being worse. They have to do something they don't understand and get stuck as they don't know where they went wrong. What's the point of a 20la package if the job makes you miserable.
@@asutoshpanda1508 can't seem to find teejaydev... You happen to have the link of the channel pls do share... Thanks
@@MrAbhitv kunal kushwaha has really created a good amount of awareness among the crowd. i like this...
This is exactly the kind of content i expect from a real engineer like you ! Keep posting about such real world problems, this was so fun !🔥
Keys points:
The fastest way to become a software developer or coder is to be extremely curious about the field and step out of your comfort zone.
The motivation to get into coding shouldn't be just money, as that may lead to losing motivation and being stuck doing one thing for the rest of your career.
Technology changes very quickly, and to keep upscaling yourself and staying relevant, you need to be curious about technology.
Find problems around you that can be solved with technology, and work on solving them.
Use the right tools and technologies in the industry, such as React for front-end development and Kubernetes for deployment.
Learn how to monitor your code and system performance.
Continuous learning and curiosity are key to becoming a successful and efficient developer.
Thanks for the summary guy, add bullet points with time stamps = priceless comment 👌 😉 👌
thank you :)
Thanks for the summary man.
Make a video on how to get international remote full time job 🙏🙏
Yes sir please this topic will be highly appreciated and atleast a general roadmap will be beneficial for people from all walks, and also to upskill and pay off college debt and handle similar issues
Check his previous videos. Lot of good content
Network opensoure upskilling
AI Block chain demand is high but less people know them so you cab use this opportunity
In off campus without IIT vala 😣ii
Man I literally addicted to your videos. ❤️❤️
And I watched ur videos on Gsoc and I immediately started to read code of their organisation and literally gave my first contribution. Your quality content is such a inspiration 🌟.
(Normally I'm resistance enough to writing comment , But your content inspired me.)
This is real video shows how real software engineering works or should do. I like this channel because it has real content other than just click-bait unboxing and roadmap videos. Good job , we want more creators like you.
Loved the unpopular opinion and your mindset. Truely inspiring
He actually solves problem shows us how , very nice guy cool bhaiya 😎
Speaking your mind beautifully along with performing the changes was like seeing you in a Mock Interview.
Its great to see some real insights from the industry expert!
A video around blockchain development and a roadmap kind of thing would be great and include how to transition into one as a web developer
This was an excellent video. Informative and entertaining ngl. I watched it at 2am so I guess I have no life too lol. Please keep putting out more videos, I love your content!
you sound very honest and original.
Really Nice video, I've faced similar problems, and you can get more in depth on how to dissect more. Here's few things Which I've done in my projects, might help out the readers.
1. implement proper graceful shutdowns for your consumer applications,
2. I Use KEDA for my k8s containers to autoscale /downscale pods based on queue lengths.
3. Node provisioning/deprovioning is critical, personally I'll find some autoscaling patterns based on business needs, for eg. provision extra instances before peak hours, deprovision/ hibernate during low hours. you can also utilise warm instances now with AWS which lowers your node-up time significantly. I'll use Karpenter or some sort of Time based scaler here
4. setup alerts on Queue length, consumer lag (most important) ( if consumption is slower for some reason (might be a new commit causing throttling on queues) you never know.
5. this specific video transcoding can be put better into step-functions or lambda's which can be triggered by sqs/kafka directly. have seen this usecase to be fit amazingly with step-functions.
this is great, its because you are sharing the actual things , hard truths but reality which clears and makes it transparent. Thanks
I think you are the best tech guy from India, really appreciate your efforts
I hated Programming in my college which made me give up on my job and pursue other career. You have sparked the interest in me by filling the gaps/establishing connections that were unanswered during my college days regarding various technologies. Unfortunately I'm 30 now and feel cannot restart at this juncture.
Hey Harkirat!!
I subscribed to your channel for opensource content please continue making those videos
Make a proper crash course...please please please🙏
That line: I have no life, hits me very hard to get back to reality. Life will be like this for most of aspiring software engineers but the good part is we are upskilling and money will be there as a secondary motivation.
Nice video. I think you can save some more money using the AWS EKS service, encoder goes into a pod as microservice and then have the replicaset defined. And scale using the Horizontal Pod Autoscaler. So your kubernetes will call new instances (Nodes) based on certain metric which you can deicide.
What a beautiful idea for a future video
@@harkirat1 sir is it possible to become a software engineer without a college degree?
@@harkirat1 is it possible to reach you out? Please!
i want to join this communities and contribute to open source. i have just completed python and not know how i contribute? what i learn next to do this? is react is mandatory for contribution to open source. i want to work related python. please tell me what I should do next ?
@@MelodicNaveen yaa it's possible, but you have to dedicated and consistent for it
Please please please make a video on Blockchain Development and it's risks, drawbacks, opportunities, etc.
Hello bhaiya can you please upload a video explaining detailed roadmap on how to become block chain developer and attach free good resources to learn it...
It would be very helpful for all of us who wants to be blockchain developer...
Thank you 😊
Amazing insights into the industry! Yes, a lot of people are motivated by money and that would just make them reach a point of saturated motivation. Quite an eye opener for the young generation.
one of the best youtuber i have seen
please do video more frequently
What an interesting video!! Quite encouraging on the part of being curious towards different technologies and actually looking deep into it. Your videos helps me in feeling confident to approach problems. Have just started open source....simply inspired by your videos. Thanks a lot....
God you are so smart! i know you can't make cringy videos on how to become a good coder. but the majority crowd wants to see those kinds of vids only or else the video wont perform good. so you clickbaited the crowd and ended up showing what a good software developer would do... and that is show how to solve real world problems in software industry! love you bhaiyya! great work.
The Excitement in his face shows how much he loves what he does
Thanks, Harkirat, Videos like these can actually end up making people fall in love with tech. And tech has a lot of money, that's just by product.
Hey harkirat, Can you please introduce a web3 and blockchain tutorial
yes please!
this video is amazing. Thanks for teaching the real world problem & letting us know that why we should join tech industry.
Your video's are amazing. You are not like other youtubers. Keep making videos of any kind you like. Your new video notification brings smile on my face
Harkirat...your content is GOLD.
I'm learning WebD, I think there's a lot of content aroung html css but not much content around topic like this. Thanks Harkirat for guiding about these topics
Always an Informative video..Loved Your Content...Keep Going
[Alternative] 1. A serverless model like an ECS fargate or AWS lambda should be a long term solution.
2. A Cloudwatch alarm should do allow you set the SQS limit, server rule and notification criteria as well.
Nice video, btw !
crazy way of being sooo real and sooo informational
pls upload these kind of videos more , even though I didn't understand a thing it was fun watching
Ya actually, lkg from a business perspective and solving the problem....all businesses care about is money, they don't know how, but cost minimization is the goal, you do it for them, and that's it.... you've won their trust and that's how connections are made and problems are solved. The main motive of someone from science is to solve problems which other domains can't, and yeah, you're doing it effectively!
When will remote Job newsletter start?
Can tell how happy i feel after you upload a video
Thankyou Buddy , I have been working on one thing and trying to add more skil you inspired me .. Thankyou
Bhaiya please make video on how to learn a language as begginer and start solving problems on any website
Harkirat bhai, i started watching your content from the video in which you explained why DSA is not that important and learning other technologies are also important that was really helpful for me.
I really like they way you put things on point, from this video as you said ki you should be more flexible as a software developer which I am not, but i will try to be from now on. And they way you tried solving problem live that really changed my perspective towards problem solving.
You made me think like rancho from 3 idiots movie. Thank you bro and please keep sharing knowledge.

Best UA-cam channel for software Engineers
You Love what you are doing so you have life 😅, I understood one thing programming languages aren't that hauaa which people makes, being a teen I understood this professional Industry problem credit to you too for making it simple, so It generates a kind of confidence hence thanks for it, I love solving problems, money is just a byproduct of the learning we did Again Thanks!!!!
there isnt single vdo of urs for android developers or mobile app developers. plz do it
I just can't express how much i liked this video, keep making these kinds of problem solving content!
Other UA-camrs : DSA BLAH BLAH BLAH
DSA is the fundamental thing but the real problem solving is putting your problem solving skills to solve real world problems otherwise you are just practicing maths problems nothing contributing to computer science or your society..
Great content 👍🏻😌
this was a interesting way of conveying a message ....damn bro you are genius 💯
good content! Just a thought, shouldn't you blur out the account id, arn and stuff?
Harkirat wow yrr thanks for these content and guidance thank you for helping me
good to see you bro again helped me a lot
Man your teaching skill is awesome. Can you make tutorials on advanced stuffs like docker and kubernatives and so on
This concept of auto scaling looks similar tp thread pooling like we use thread pool inorder to avoid go on creating thread for all the threads in cpu queue. We fix max number of threads to be create a similar way 😊
great video as usual! however I think your automated upload system messed up the little, as the description is apt but the title seems to be of your future video :p
Title - how to become a coder, 7 ways to be pro coder
Video content Harkirat explains some transcoder microservice, its queues, length.. which went completely off guard to what the intended video was.
Apart from this one your content rocks, guides on career, freelancing, open source 👍
The potential of this channel is limitless !
Bhai ne programming ko majdoori se compare karke sacchai bata di 💀
Can I learn code in mobile app? Because i tried typing but show eror.
Hey harkirat remember you used to livestream with a guy on your channel , his channel started with code something, do you know where is he now?
please Harkirat singh can you suggest how you gain knowlege on how request , servers and the terms your using
i know you had so much experience but can you suggest any book , course or any articles to learn this to build and understand the real world projects
oh god i admire the way you think out loud.
have you considered using AWS Lambda(serverless) here? once the video is uploaded to server, AWS lambda function will be triggered to convert the video into different formats
We did but unfortunately these processes take up to 4 hours sometimes.
That can get expensive on a lambda function
@@harkirat1 makes sense, thanks 👍
bhai started learning c++ a few days back, poora video bouncer gya LOL lekin curiosity to badhii to I call I success.
If I want to learn React should I have to follow html css javascript?? Anyone
How you learn the technology you don't know.....???
I am very confused about web 3. Blockchain scope in 2023 because there are very limited intern opportunities at hiring platforms in web 3 . Please make a video on how a particular individual should keep motivation to learn about web3

@Harkirat Singh I am in first year of my engineering cllg.what should i learn now ,web/app development or something else and from where. in web/app development should i learn react or html css js
Hey harkirat
I wanted to know on what should i focus on for a good job, should i focus on dsa problem solving or development and if both, how much tp focus on each of them, plss help me out here, it'd be of great help. Thank you
thanks harkirat for making this video!!
thannks bro, very informative
It would be really helpful if you make a video on how to start learning web 3 developer if you are in a 1st year of your college ....plzzx
but how did you implement your written code to AWS server?
Explanation with examples are easy to understand ; especially if ur a devOps and Cloud enthusiast like me !
Nice video, AWS is definitely a skill to learn.
Need more content like this ...
Can you help with how you worked with videos? I am really curious to know how this type software works, like converting videos into small pieces and using it for streaming or something else.
The thumbnails might a little clickbait to attract people
but the wisdom in your videos is insane
Thanks bhaiya !!
bhaiya thank u for such a beautiful video
keep posting
Highly informative and practical video 💯🙌
Hello bhaiya, entered the tech field about 8 months back. Currently involved in web3 space, participating in hackathons and stuff. Currently, I only work on building dapp projects. However, would love to know about ci/cd. Any suggestions or path to follow? Please do help🙏🙏🥺
Hi Harkirat amazing video. Can you suggest some safe resources to learn about cloud. As I have seen people learning cloud or learning to deploy to cloud getting bill shocks, how to avoid this? It is very risky, but in demand, so What is the best way to learn it, be confident and can help clients and companies also? As you have so much amazing experience, for a fresher getting into full stack roles, how should he approach cloud and showcase it?
Hey! Really an informative video, could you please also make a video on ML Roadmap if possible. It will be helpful. Thanks for great content.
For alert, why don’t you try built in cron jobs?
🙏🥺Please create a topic wise checklist from maths to computer fundamentals to tech stacks that one needs to learn to become a beast like you despite the niche they choose!
17:46 nice try🙂
Why are you not starting your react with backend node express and Mongodb on the UA-cam platform as your contents skill is looking extremely sharp and well organized so please start your React series with some meaningful project because one can learn more and more throughout only project knowledge.
Again humble request you to start a very good and meaningful project on you UA-cam platform as it is definite that your coding series will be super hit on UA-cam
Thanks for your consideration
In which company you are working?
I've a general Idea about DSA and all , but never practiced on leet code or codechef anywhere else but
I'm always on you-tube and checking videos people improving the same things and watch those and implement , and sometime bring something new from those stuffs that I learned as well . do you thing that what I'm doing is a good way to move forward ?
What happened to the camera quality?
You are such an inspiration 🙏
Who you primarily watch or people you follow??
Should one learn JavaScript (web and mobile app development) or python for data analysis and data engineering? or should one focus on cloud engineer (DevOps role). I feel like front end development using javascript might be replace in near future. so which one u suggest to learn for 2023
Front end is future and more vast
Any good source for learning rust ?
Please start making videos in Hindi. It will not only impact a lot of people but also it becomes very easy to understand the problems.
Suggest some resources to learn from
