Mr Krabs: "Spongebob! What's wrong?" Spongebob: "I don't know Mr Krabs, but ive got the strangest feeling... That somewhere a Pirate and Parrot are arguing about Me. And the Parrot is winning 😰"
this is one of my favorite specials: dunces and dragons, the sponge who could fly, original Halloween episode, original Christmas episode, ugh, sponebob’s house party ( in no particular order)
Ironically, a series focusing on Sponge-Gar would have made for a far better prequel and spin-off than Kamp Koral. Even if it would be disrespectful to Stephen Hillenburg's wishes, Nickelodeon could just integrate Sponge-Gar back into the main series asa themed season, similar to the ones we got in Archer.
Once upon a time, when I was like 6 years old, I would go to the public library and the only thing I rented for an entire year was the Spongebob B.C special episode. B.C was always a special I was hyped for every time it aired when I was young. Me and my mom who was a huge spongebob fan would get hyped to watch this special mainly because of the cute funny jokes and the caveman gibberish with the fire fight at the end.
People don't like this episode? For me it was just another good one. The robot and caveman rap was the shit back then. Btw, where do you get those scenes in such a high quality? :o
I actually have this episode on dvd. It also came with a bunch of season 1-2 episodes. Since I love that special it's surprising to me that nobody talks about it.
As someone who's grown up with a fondness for dinosaurs and prehistoric life, "SpongeBob B.C." has always been one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes (I still remember watching it on Nickelodeon when it first premiered). In fact, I recently dusted off my old set of SpongeBob Season 3 DVD's just to re-watch "SpongeBob B.C." in preparation for the new episodes of "Primal" on Adult Swim! xD
Kind of late to the party, but I also really loved this episode! I had it on a cassette tape, and used to watch it daily. I've probably watched it over 50 times, over and over...
Another big reason why it's not very popular is that, just like most other forgotten Spongebob episodes, it rarely ever gets aired anymore! I remember this used to air all the time until around the turn of the decade, then it just...disappeared.
One of the best scenes in the episode was this piece of dialogue. Mr. Krabs: Spongebob! What's wrong? Spongebob:I don't know, Mr. Krabs, but I've got this strangest feeling that somewhere a pirate and parrot are arguing about me. And the parrot is winning. That was pretty hilarious 😂.
Honestly, I still remembered it to this day, but I find “The Sponge Who Could Fly” to be the most forgettable episode, so much so that I forgot of its existence until 6 years later.
I remember when Nickelodeon was promoting it. I was so excited, I ended up taping the Spongebob marathon with the Patchy segments counting down to the special. When B.C. actually began, it felt very different from your every day episide. But I still loved it. I still have the vhs I used to tape this. And the next night, I used the rest of the tape to record the premiere of "The Camping Episode", "Krabby Land" and the 2003 Kids Choice Awards. I was only 8 years old. So looking back at this brings back happy memories.
I didn't actually know this episode was so unknown. My best friend has all boxsets from seasons 1-9 so we watch them, and this episode is one of our favorites. I was genuinely surprised when I saw this video.
I always really enjoyed this episode. It really showcased the animation gags and the creativity of the creators. Also the song the cavemen in the robot do together just laughed so hard classic
SpongeBob’s House Party is the same. I’ve only ever seen it play on TV once, on SpongeBob’s 20th birthday last year. It’s on the season 3 dvd, and it’s on streaming services like Amazon Prime and CBS All Access.
This whole episode felt like a fever dream, I almost always forgot about it. I had seasons 1-3 on dvd as a kid, and sometimes I would just watch them in order, and whenever this episode came up, watching it felt like a brand new experience. The only part I never completely forget is the scene with the robot and Worlds Collide. As a kid I could never remember the episode it belonged to, and always thought it came from SB-129.
This is one of my favorite episodes in spongebob ever especially the scene when they're eating a bunch of stuff because the sound of them eating is very satisfying for me.
When you have a long running series like SpongeBob not every episode is gonna be popular that being said I don't think this episode is forgotten wasn't there also a meme that came from it? Nevermind that meme came from another episode. Either way my point still stands not every episode will be equally remembered plus I would imagine with there being 2 episodes about prehistoric Spongebob people probably get them mixed up.
When i was a kid i was desperate to eat what Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward were eating during the episode, a decade later i realize that i wanted to eat wooden sticks, flowers, cloth, Krab's descendant and sand. I guess food does look delicious in cartoons.
This episode is actually one of mine and my BF’s favs! I was so hyped when the episode finally came on when I was younger, I remember seeing a couple of commercials about it. How can people forget this episode?!
I can't believe this episode is considered unpopular, it was always one of my favourites growing up. It had some really creative jokes and gags and it was fun seeing a prehistoric Bikini Bottom, similar to how 'Dunces and Dragons' and 'Pest of the West, explored different time periods.
