Monarch Butterfly Release - I'm ready for my closeup!

Fun closeup shots of Monarch Butterflies as they are released from #lorinasbutterflygarden.
We've had comments with concerns about the butterflies being uncomfortable being held, and some suggestions that I should let them walk on my finger. The whole point of this video is to give people an up close and personal view of these beautiful creatures, to appreciate them for all the interesting things they do - like turn their heads to survey the territory. You can't do that when they are walking on your finger. And they very often just take off the minute they are outside and no longer held. They have places to go and things to do! So don't worry, these little beauties were not harmed while making this video. I would never hurt them. I raised them all from eggs I found in my garden. 6 weeks of daily care from egg to wings. All my little children, and happy to see them fly free.
