Every single gacha game music producer didn't need to go this freakin' Hard on creating these amazing soundtracks. Especially AK, it's a goddamn entire album.
But shame we couldn't have an option that changed the bgm. Well, changing background is a thing, but still.
Actually, I do think gacha games *need* that quality production in order to stay relevant. With competitors being a dime a dozen, they need that originality to come out on top since waifus will only carry them so far.
Plus, they can certainly have the budget for an entire orchestra thank to the whales.

The entire ost for Avalon Le Fae is amazing, even the conversation theme is a banger, though if i had to pick favorites i'd have to go with Baobhan's theme "Scarlet Dancer"

What i love from Vanguard studio music is the "lyrics". It has no meaning by itself but you can feel the emotion. They can also make you feel the environment, such as underwater (Lamia), outer space (Last Resort) desert (Dust) and also drag ppl into the game from the theme alone (Narwhal). Cant wait to hear their works on Wuthering Waves
don't forget about revelation mate, even if it has lyrics the whole 6 minute before was all full of ambience sound. it really tells yiu the story of one last chance to save the future with like one last dive. god i just love revelation so much it's just perfect with everything else, how it really feels solutide for nanami and the world is just desolate like it sleeping

All jokes aside, ever think what commandant do after lotus lucia had gone? I know that plume was still adjusting to fit in with liv and lee after that part so It would have been nice if they added what did the three did before plume was activated( new memory lucia) and what they felt on her new personality.

As someone who played Iron Saga, can confirm that budget just went to the music production (and collab funding) and boy, they don't disappoint. 90% of them are a complete banger.

It's bc gacha games are just sick albums strapped with some gameplay
it's another way to appeal their music to general audience as listeners can feel it more with directed theme or lore rather than just listening while looking at the thumbnail.
Dont let their games fool you into thinking they're game developers. All gaming companies are just music companies in disguised and the game(s) is just there to advertise their music. Look at League Of Legends songs for example, they have no rights being that good for the balancing state the game's in.

as much as I love verheerender's song, I think a better example of Azur lane music is its boss battle themes, they always carry a certain Wagnerian flair, as in they carry the large scale and gravitas of an opera's climatic moment except they are arranged with the edgyness of an action anime OST. my favorite aspect is how the music from events often carry leitmotif from old tracks in a very different arrangement, it feels both fresh and nostalgic.
also, you missed on the oportunity to include Artery Gear, its music is made by the same studio as PGR, and it doesn't dissapoint at all

I think comparison would be kongou song originally oath ring ost only then given lyrics, for boss battle fanmade is better imo somnium - decisive battle, I've deep dive into azur lane so this gacha games ost compilation are nice.
I feel like i'm riding roller coaster of emotion, some were just so good, some were sad, and some make you feel more or less motivated.
Finally GBF getting recognition on its soundtracks it sucks how not many people even know how much of a banger the OSTs are in GBF especially since Nobuo Uematsu worked in one of their songs

And yes, Oberon theme is epic even for FGO standards.

It's a crime that the Alchemy Stars OST wasn't included, it's freaking FIRE and all the musicians who worked on it did an amazing job (even though Tachibana Asami carried like 2/3 of it).

FGO is Masterpiece
Their music always pumps me up and makes me want to dive into the story, sadly reading multiple mobage stories is a full time job. Not even including the gameplay, I tried to just watch the story on UA-cam
right now I'm always on top of Arknights, 55% of the way into Girls Frontline, it hurt but I had to drop FGO/PGR/Honkai due to lack of time
