Great video. Agree with Ronbus feel is better off the face. Tried Vatic a few times and while I’m sure it’s a great paddle I just didn’t like the experience. Ronbus feel is just more plush and natural feeling as opposed to a deader or maybe stiffer feeling of Vatic.
Hmm it's tough to say. Depends on what you're looking for in your game. You'll get more power and a more substantial feel from the DBD but the flash 14 is quicker and balls come off quicker at the net
@@TickleMyPickleball you get more power from the DBD? I thought the Vatic flash 14 gets more than the 16 already. I plan to add lead tape on the throat for both for stability but dam. I don’t think power is an issue for me since I can generate it, but I definitely want a better soft game. Maybe I can get both and try it out. Do you know if any of the Vatic pros or DBD are showing signs of wear and tear more? I saw both had delamination issues.
I have both the Vatic Flash and DBD and I think I do better w/the DBD. I have trouble going back to my first gen Vatic Pro V7 now cause I've gotten used to the faster hand speed w/the hybrid shape. Plus I feel like the V7 feels noticeably top heavy too. I can't maneuver it around as quickly w/just my wrist compared to the other 2. Don't notice stability issues with either of the hybrid shape paddles though but I probably don't hit as hard (or need to block such powerful drives) as you. =)
Ah that's fair, definitely do notice slower hand speeds with the V7 but for me I feel that I can drop and reset better with the V7 so ended up sticking with that. Stability issues might have just been a me thing 😅, probably since I was so used to using heavier paddles
Ah, the dilemma these paddles have put me into…have the V7 and love it except for hand speed. Have the Flash 16mm and have the hand speed, but lose some power. People across from you notice the V7’s put away power, but the 16mm Flash not so much. Ordered the 14mm Flash and hoping it might be a happy medium, but not sure if that’s going to be the case. I need a hybrid of the flash and V7 lol.
Haha I feel you, I would say a happy medium between the Flash and the V7 might just be Flash with more lead tape added to it but let me know how the 14mm is!
It's grown on me for sure. Wasn't a fan at first until I added lead and I'm loving the feedback I get when hitting balls. Currently my goto paddle while my V7 is being demoed 😅
@Tickle My Pickleball Are you getting a dead spot on your V7 that starts about 3 to 4 inches above the bottom centered logo? I'm getting one on my almost new vatic and would like to compare.
@@mlee9049 hmm I haven'y used my V7 in a while since it's being demoed by others but have not noticed that. I'll check when I get it back and get back to you on that. Though curious how much that spot affects performance since it is pretty low on the paddle
Vatic pro have the absolute worst customer service. The glue came off the edge guard in less than 5 weeks and they told me sorry about your luck. Pitiful.

I love my R1 Pulsar; been using it for about a month now. I'm still playing it at stock weight as I liked it from the get go.
What's the stock weight?
@@MLe-bc3ql mine was 8.10 oz stock
@@webstermiller7765 what handle length did you go with?
Thanks for the reviews. Good info on Ronbus R1 Pulsar. Pretty sure I've played at the outdoor court in the video yesterday.
Would you rather buy Vatic pro flash 14mm $110 after tax or DBD $162 after tax

Ronbus R1 pulsar a great paddle I have the 5.5 grip and feel reminds me of a Hyperion but more power and spin

They just released a hybrid of the flash and V7 called the alchemy
PLEASE let me know your findings!
Nice video. Was the face stiff like the Legacy Pro or a bit more plush?
It was stiff like the Legacy Pro
Did you play with Hyperion CFS 16mm before? How does it compare to R1 Pulsar?
I think the 5.25 handle Pulsar I have is more well balanced and less head heavy than the CFS. It noticeably has more spin too and a bit more power
Awesome!
Can you comment on where the weight lies for these paddles you mentioned? Do you feel they are more balanced to the handle? Or are they head heavy?
I think they're more balanced to the handle, especially compared to the elongated paddles. They're not as head heavy
Just got my vatic pro prism flash today - one side is rough to the touch while the other side is smooth… is that normal?
Interesting, now I don't think that's normal. I would recommend reaching out to Vatic Pro customer support to check on this
So the R3 pulsar is your favorite of them all?
It's grown on me for sure. Wasn't a fan at first until I added lead and I'm loving the feedback I get when hitting balls. Currently my goto paddle while my V7 is being demoed 😅

@@TickleMyPickleball so, basically the v7 provides more power, but the r3 pulsar has better control/feel?

@@joshuapickett1234 More power for sure and a stiffer feel. Also the V7 does have a shorter handle at 5.3 with a slightly larger paddle face.
Solid game clips.
What handle length pulsar R1 did you review here?
5.25 inch length
Liking my Flash but may weight it to see if I like it. Ronbus is comin hard in this market.
Awesome, I'd recommend adding some weight starting at the throat and go up more on the sides based on how you feel
@@TickleMyPickleball The throat??? I put 2gms on the top corners in hopes it adds some better top spin on my drives. Total weight 9.13 oz.
@@kimleith1378 ah gotcha, I like adding it there for stability but that's just my preference. Let me know how the top 2 corners work
I brought my vatic 14 back out. Put tungsten on top to add more power. Feels a lot better now
@@jburton1419 Ended up selling my Flash to a friend to get him hooked on PB.
