hey good sir i just bought this combo here in the UK its shipping from Germany - i got a stock xmaxx just looking for a bit more power and lower temps to enjoy longer playtime. hows yours been since what motor mount did you use i heard this can be retro fitted to the orignal stock bracket as its only a bit longer.
I used a scorched Rc mount, it has held up really well so far, the motor is about 5mm longer than the original so the stock mounts won't work for this combo 🙂
Ooooo thats a good question, i have never tried, i can run a whole set of 10000mah packs doing back to back speed runs without it getting hot, so reckon you probably could but i def would want to keep an eye on temps to begin with
My brother is having trouble he has a max6 g2 200 amp and a 16kvkv motor combo and is hardly getting any power he can't do a willie or a standing backflip any suggestions
@@Dragonphist1 my initial thoughts would be to check if anything is binding/slipping in the drive train, pinion on the motor too big or does the esc need set up on the Bluetooth phone app
The motor mount I am using is a scorched Rc mount this- scorchedparts.co.uk/collections/upgrades-for-traxxas-xmaxx-and-xrt/products/roto-lok-motormount-for-traxxas-xmaxx-xrt
Finally!!!! Thank you sir! I have that kit on my shelf waiting to put on the xmaxx just wasn’t sure if the kv would be too high for the xmaxx.
I have the same combo. Hate to say it but yes it's too high for the Max6 to run

@@Dragonphist1 im not sure without looking at it in my hand, maybe your local hobby shop could help
just wondering what transmitter and receiver are you using ?
Just the standard traxxas stuff that comes with the car
How's it holding up? I got one on the way. What kid of mount did you use? Will it be cool if i run traxxas 4s lipos?
Hi, i am using a scorched rc mount, i am running 10000mah packs and its holding up good, im sure it would be just fine running the traxxas ones
Ist this build with Stock Motormount? Can you Show me the Motormount please?

I'd like to know if it would work with stock motor mount as well. But hard to figure out
Didn’t help at all. Let’s see it run. What are the temp like? What gearing did you use?
@@alankowalski8781 I have videos of it running already up, I can get a set a 10000mah batteries through it without it overheating
I wonder if this motor would be okay with the stock ESC until I can get the ESC ?
I just instslled this exact combo. I highly recommend against it because after one pack in cold weather the caps popped.
There is 2 different max 6 esc was yours Def the G2 and not the V3?
@@marksangster2979 sadly it was the G2 cause of the Bluetooth
@@t-dawgl8338 you may just have got a faulty item, i have ran many times in the cold and its been just fine for me, who knows
