Awesome fellas🤙 Slant 6, triple SU’s, big bump stick, lightweight = heaps of cheap fun! I grew up in slant 6 Chryslers here in Australia. I also had a flying brick in the 90’s ( 1975 Volvo sedan with small block chev that ran 11.2 @ 120mph on the 1/4) Enjoy boys 👍🇦🇺
@@redlight3932Volvos are built like tanks. I also ran the factory 4:11 Volvo diff on 8 inch slicks and broke one pinion with many passes down the strip 🤙
I saw that beautiful car run many times at Eagle Field Runway drags. Awesome little piece of history. Please by all means try to keep it original, I know sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way. Regardless, enjoy your new hot rod.
That frigging car is absolutely awesome, I am officially jealous. That slant six sounds amazing. I don’t think Id change a thing other than making sure it’s safe to drive. I would try to get it. Licensed so I could drive it all the time.😎😁😁😁
I'm the A hole that would try to turn that in to a weekend driver... pretty cool little go cart, looks super fun... the guy that built that knows a lot of theory, by looking at it.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't change anything about the car and it would be so fun to drive. I love that engine, the leaning tower of power is what I always heard a slant 6cylinder engine called and it's like they built the car around the engine which is purty durn cool. I would love to see how fast it is cause the engine sounds great and it fired right up lol...
If you want to avoid the majority of the wheel hop on launch, don't hammer the clutch. Rigid rears don't much care for that. Hold the revs around half, and feather the clutch in very lightly against the brake, to pre-load the drive train. Then lay off the brake and clutch, and finish rolling on the gas, at the same time. Launch'll be smoother & quicker, and the gearbox'll last a lot longer. The third's a Falcon & mini spool, so that'll hold up well anyway.
Hell Yeah 🤘🤠🍻.. Tires are old and hard on the back 🤔 2 New Stickies and have a lot of fun 😉👍.. I like to see some paddle tires on the sand ⛱️.. I switch them on my 35 Chevy speedster ...✌️🍻
Hides're Cokers. They need to break loose, the shortened stock 3 speed's gears're the weakest link, and hard to replace. The OZ clutch, steel flywheel, and Falcon third're all stronger.
Yup, Dick Sappington’s old HA/GR nostalgia dragster. Second iteration if I remember correctly. Regular at Eagle Field and Fomoso. He’d flog that thing and it would just keep taking it.
Never change anything on that time capsule. True work of art. Masterpiece.

Beautiful old HA/GR. Treat it with respect.

Lower the air pressure in the back tires and grease the clutch linkage 😅
Perfection! Normal is boring.
leaning tower of power

That's Dick's old HAMBster. I'd wondered where it was. He had a ball at places like Eagle field Flathead V Six cylinder drags.
It looks awesome, it sounds more than awesome and the triple SU setup is the BEST!

Sweet sound…cammed up straight six with stacks!….Chrysler,GM or Ford 👍🎶
Fantastic car. Thanks for the video.
There was a similar car in Salt Lake City years ago, a hopped up six cylinders owned by John Pappadakis car called 'A Rapid Apparatus'.

Love to see it on antiques roadshow! And be sure not to mess with the patina!

Flyin' Brick 😂
Very Cool, I like it
Start talking to the slant 6 racers. That things sounds like my old Valiants. It needs 'work' .
Cool
Awesome!
What was the ET and MPH?
A tuned six into two collector exhaust would make more power, and also sound better.
I come from a country where the sound of an inline 4 is a common note in drag racing but this engine sound very unqiue.
When do you figure it was originally built?
2007, to late forties specs, with late fifties drive train components.

Yea.. ❤
Holy crap brother that thing is bad as fuck
I WANT ONE.......BAD........
Cool as f**k !
Wow su carbs
Slant 6, or inline 6?
Yes there is a difference
Chrysler or Chevy
235 slant 6 ?
170 or 225.

That's what I call a sketchy chassis. An original rat rod. Have fun.
It’s a straight up hot rod, not a rat rod. Different.
@@9rjharper Is a rat rod the result of intention or can a car through time become a rat rod?
Pretty cool!
That's cool AF!
