It wasn't...he couldn't lay a glove on mayweather....actually mayweather hit him with an uppercut and his knees buckled....but at that time he was past his prime...watch the fight again and you will see that he couldn't even touch him...

I can see why some would be turned off by Oscar.. He does come off as a bit of a pretty boy.. Kinda hated him at one time because he beat my man Chavez.. He does have charisma and talent tho.. And, a very interesting and seemingly good hearted person..

What caused me to hate Oscar was his sellout fight to Felix Trinidad. He was winning then gave up the last 4 rounds so Don King could clean up, retire then hand over his promotion company which became Golden Boy Productios.
He was so good he had four different trainers (off the top of my head) who each had a different philosophy, and he excelled fighting ALL those styles. There wasn't a single fighter on his record he couldn't have beaten had he been right (fought the right fight, been fighting his demons, or been weight drained). Plus he was the face of boxing for a decade.
