5:38 that’s me lol. I had worked 2 weeks at that store before grand opening, there was about 100 people in total (probably way more) helping stock everything and make everything look perfect for grand opening. I wanted to see the store open at 7AM, so I got up early and drove from Alabama to see it, then hung out upstairs and clocked in at like 2pm for a closing shift lol. It was exhausting, but a pretty cool experience.

I’m not trying to sound negative but I worked for Publix for over 30 years and I’m looking at the layout of this store but the largest store is in Bradenton fl store 1326 it used to be an old Albertsons but it’s over 82000 sq feet. There backroom is huge plus more aisles and the aisles are at least 12 to 16 feet longer. It’s huge beyond belief. Like I said not sounding negative but it’s by far the largest.
I never knew publix copy + pasted their Publix’s, this is literally my publix just in a different location

I quit working with Publix because of promotion problems and the fact my store was horrible but I low-key do miss working there.
Love Publix, but wish they would go to Texas and take a look at HEB’s Central Market stores - BEYOND AMAZING!!!!

Interesting, the bakery is located in the BACK of the store, a huge change from any Publix I have ever been to. Yes, every Publix is layed out differently. No weight scale because the single company that made all of them for Publix has gone out of business. They will keep the ones already in stores maintained, but Publix has said no new stores will get one.

It’s amazing that Publix takes the time to do it perfectly and is so profitable. On the other hand WM is a shitshop where the quality sucks, the customer service is beyond suck and their corporate is going broke.
