    It may have it's imperfections but like many great projects, if you didn't point them out to us then we probably would never notice them. Considering your lack of experience, lack of tools and lack of workspace, you really did do an incredible job. Show it off and admire what you accomplished. Well done!

      Hey thanks a lot! Certainly been getting lots of use out of it. Looks much better now with the oak front. I have the parts cut for another one with housing joints but holding off building it till I get another front face CNC'd.

    Very nice and good looking job!!! For the front pannel what strategy did you use in order ti obtain this pattern? Vcarve with no fixed max Z? Thank you!

      Thanks! I use SOLIDWORKS and basically sketched out the triangles as a 2D sketch. I then did an extruded cut but with a high draft angle (I think 60 degrees) to get the desired effect.

    Hello , very nice video. Do you have schemes for transmission floorstanding speakers for 6 inch speakers , about 1 meter height?? I actually need that scheme with bass speaker on up and a tweeter below. I already have 1 pair of 8 inch speakers like that , but its 1,20 meters height.

      Hey thanks for watching! No I don't have any plans for something like that but it's probably a project I'll do in the future so stay tuned!

      Hi mate, It's actually my own custom PCB - there's some better images of it on my website. I'm going to do an in-depth video of them soon.

    Try to avoid use silicone unless in the bathroom. Have numerous appropriate sealants dedicated to wood.

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  3 роки тому +1

      Is that for environmental reasons or are the wood dedicated sealants just better?

    • @Kezeychesey
      @Kezeychesey 3 роки тому +2

      @@jcracoustics it’s for structural purposes, some sealants are more flexible than others so keep that in mind. Also some silicone mixtures can harm speakers due to their horrible fumes so let it are out before your install the drivers

    • @scottaberdonian7374
      @scottaberdonian7374 3 роки тому +1

      @@jcracoustics No. Silicon is not a long-lasting filler, it has a bad connection with wood/MDF, and wood grain(even if it looks like it) very easily peel off in 3 years' time. Silicon content slowly destroys the wood structure. Not over paintable. Plenty of good quality flexible fillers(mostly pricey) dedicated to wood. Also, forget about caulk filler(just in case you thought about it)

    I will show u how u can do it at home with home tools the he shows up with a CnC piece...

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  Рік тому

      Run a search of "CNC wood cutting near me", there will be lots of results and then you can order your own parts and assemble it all at home like in the tutorial.
      Seems to be the way a lot of hobbyist stuff is going, combining external services for 3-D printing, PCB assembly, CNC milling/laser cutting, etc.
      It means you can build much more complex projects without crazy investments into tools.
      You're still designing it in your house from your laptop (potentially with free CAD software) and assembling it yourself.

    Everybody friends cnc Maschine!!😂😂😂😂🇩🇪.Silicon for bathroom. Standart rubber speaker feets are better

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  Рік тому

      Not sure I fully understand your comment but if you're needing a place to get your CNC'ing done then a quick google search of CNC machining near me bring up a lot of results. This is the way of lots of hobbyist projects now. Designing at home, ordering parts from an external service and assembling at home. Similar to people who make electronics and get PCBs made externally. Just a cheaper way of creating higher quality items.
      As for the rubber feet realistically you want a balance of what looks good and what reduces vibrations into the medium around the speaker. I find the wooden feet work best in this project.

    You should change the title to DIY Speaker Cabinet Build. The video has little to do with the speakers themselves and this is certainly NOT a high end build.

      Hi, thanks for the feedback! This video summarises a build that took months and so just goes through the gist of how it was produced. It's not meant to be a step by step guide. However if there is a step you want more information on then feel free to let me know and I will try explain in more detail.
