I’m so impressed with the thorough approach you took for heat training in such a hot and humid environment💯 Keep inspiring us with your content, Jeff! 🙂
@ It’s a mix of both. I’m in Melbourne, so sometimes we get the hot dry heat from the desert, cold air from the southern ocean or humid air from the tropics, depends on the wind direction which is always fluctuating. So you need to be prepared for anything on race day. Just last weekend the GPT 100 got massively impacted by scorching 37 degree C heat, and last year the event was freezing cold rain.
Was fun to run into you two and have a quick chat at the hot yoga class. Good luck with the next race and the growth of your channel. It's now part of my wind down routine for bedtime. Laid back, nature based, entertainment!
Super interesting stuff, particularly the heat training. Thanks Audrey for sharing the details!! It’s really making me consider getting a small infrared sauna for the home. Looking forward to the HK video!
Totally agree re recovery from 100% runnable courses. You feel you should be running constantly, so you do, but the body just gets wasted. Contrary to belief, hills and mountains make for an overall less painful experience. The use of different muscles for uphill and downhill gives some other muscles a break!
I don’t think Audree mentioned this (outside of that you two did it the last few weeks before HK), but is there a recommended minimum/maximum time to get the benefits? For example, three weeks of heat training before the race is optimal, etc. Any insight on that?

i love the cameo from the Hill-Billy, power couple that they are.
Jeff, thankyou for your continued presence in the trail running space, we love ya!
One day I’ll get out of this delta and get into some big mountains. Until then I’ll live vicariously through you and Audrey
Thanks for the handy tips on the heat training. Doing races here in Australia means you have to be prepared for crazy hot days.
I can only imagine! Is it the case that it’s more of a dry heat, or do you have to deal with humidity as well?

I've been impatiently awaiting your Soft Rock film. Hoping High Lonesome is soon to follow!
That will be next in January!

Adding that shirt to the Xmas list!
Looking strong in the arms Jeff 💪🏾
Despite all your travels around the world over the years, my main takeaway from your channel is I need to get to Canada ASAP. Ridiculous
It’s a beautiful and diverse place 🇨🇦
Hyped 🎉
Nice t-shirt!
Great video as always. Now that UTMB Australia has a miler @ Katoomba would you consider a trip Down Under ?
We’ve been meaning to make it there for a while now!
I see Billy is not using a Naked Running Band for the FIRST TIME; what is he using now? I don't know that Logo. Welcome to the UESCA coaches, Audrey!!
