So its harder to make a game for xbox, who basically have used pc architecture since the OG xbox, now playstation who recently adopted the pc hardware and simarlar architecture is now easier to program for? and xbox is harder to do? GTFOH

Hey Chaos correct me if I'm wrong but when an indie game announce an Xbox port, don't Xbox usually show the game during their indie showcase? Cause I swear I never seen that game at a showcase. Other indie devs got their games on Xbox easily.

MS knows no one wants this game on Game Pass. Most engines like UE5 have plug ins for porting to different consoles.

The game is on Switch PC Android/IOS but it's xbox the problem. I think they want that exclusivity deal with Sony.

No, its cloutchasing. These complaints would be far more widespread across all devs if these were real issues impacting everyone
Its not that they *can't* sort Xbox out, its that Xbox isn't worth the effort. Xbox is a dead platform, MS is bailing on it whether you admit it or not, and its the lowest selling version nearly universally across publishers and genres. Also if you've never heard of indie devs having trouble with Xbox you aren't paying attention, its the fourth or fifth time this generation. Accusing them of doing nothing, spending no money, you're ignorant and have no clue how game dev works.
All that said, they clearly are using this situation to get some free publicity. Is that a bad thing? There's mountains of indie games these days, getting attention any way you can is sometimes part of the hustle. Being upset about it is literally playing into their PR shenanigans. 😂
well since you think you know so much why don't you make a game and see how it handles and then you can come back and brag. If you can make a game for the PC platform, you can optimize for two consoles that are mid to high range PCs.

Noone is calling out for it. And it is odd that it is the one game which failed a two week port process because this team....alone out of the many hundreds...not only experienced bugs with the process but are actually contradicting the testimony of other devs which praised MS support of indies.
They join a growing list of developers who are seemingly lying about XBox and its capabilities in order to either cover up Sony funding or their own shortcomings.
Its the same with GamePass....there are a number of devs who have talked down GamePass as being bad, only for it tk be revealed that the reason they don't like GamePass is because they weren't selected for the catalogue
GamePass is an amazing deal for devs, especially indies, and there is a long waiting list because MS doesn't select every game. And MS support for indies has been beyond stellar
Xbox is the closest thing to a PC that’s why if you can put it in pc you can put it on Xbox 😂
