Not quite true about them never loaning anything out. I've seen one painting from the collection: Perseus and Andromeda. It was at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's (Boston, MA) showing of all 6 Titian Poesies (last stop on a tour of the series). I think that this was the only time that either museum ever allowed a loan of any item of their collections.
Love the Wallace Collection. We make a point of making a visit whenever we're in London and it's always a highlight for us!
