  • Our bodies are equipped to fight off all the harmful pathogens we breathe in every day. The lymphatic system has an outstanding way of protecting us. It remembers what pathogen our body has fought off before and it sends suitable killer cells to fight the threat out of our system.

    Also does anyone know if the "killer" cells target the infection or just kinda kill everything in their path ?

    • @kingpuppet5881

      just the infection.

    • @joelalarcon3738

      in a viral infection, a virus enters a healthy cell and takes command, healthy cells have molecules on their surface called “antigen”
      if a virus takes command of a healthy cell, the healthy cell produces the antigen of the virus
      when killer t cells recognize viral antigen, it tells the killer cell to kill the virally imfected cell
      healthy cells don’t produce viral antigen, killer cells just targets cells with viral antigen.

      They target the infection, but they prefer to use the body itself to kill the infection before directly going into battle. For example, if the memory cells detect that the infection can be killed by elevated temperatures, then the killer cells will raise the temperature of the body and you get a temporary fever all the while the infection itself literally burns to death.

    If the immune system actually did it's job you wouldn't get sick in the first place

    • @TequilaMockingBird91
      @TequilaMockingBird91 20 днів тому

      Actually, the fact that you get sick is in and of itself proof that your immunity system is, in fact, doing its job. Contrary to popular belief, it’s actually not the virus itself that gives you the symptoms. The immune system forces the body to undergo positive feedback mechanisms to effectively kill the virus. For example, if the immunity system detects that the virus can die at elevated temperatures, then the immune system will raise the body temperature and you get a fever. The virus literally does nothing else except try to reprogram organisms. So if the immune system wasn’t working, then inevitably you would go into an anaphylactic shock which would led to a coma and eventually death.

    • @Baron_Unknown
      @Baron_Unknown 20 днів тому

      @@TequilaMockingBird91 What I am saying is shouldn't the immune system know that virus is not a part of your system and destroy it before it even has the attempt to replicate?

    Consider the following:
    a. I am a human as defined by humans.
    b. I am an energy based quarkelectronian as modern science claims that all matter is made up of quarks, electrons and interacting energy and I am made up of matter and interacting energy.
    c. I am a being of 'light', 'if' my current theory of everything is correct whereby the 'gem' photon is the energy unit of this universe that makes up everything in this universe, including space, time and numbers. (Currently dependent upon the results of my gravity test).
    d. "I" do not even actually exist but eternally existent space time exists as "me", currently in the forms as above.
    * I exist and yet "I" simultaneously do not exist, dependent upon perspective. But yet, do "I" not truly exist in absolute truth reality as only eternally existent space time exists as all things in absolute truth reality?
    * "I" can mentally change between perspectives thereby experiencing existence from those various perspectives. "My" mind continues to expand, but is it truly 'my' mind that is expanding or is it eternally existent space time's mind that is expanding? In absolute truth reality, it would seem to be the later.
