Hello Sage audio.Respect on all the amazing videos you put out.May you please put out a video on tips and approaches of mixing and mastering an EP or Album.
Asking the viewer to subscribe and like and comment, one time at the end is maybe okay. But when you ask 5 separate times in the same video, it just gets to be NAGGING.
basically delay is an echo. and it's related to the distance from the wall. size of place(big - long, small - short), shape of place, texture of place. there is 4 types of delay. 1. physical delay imagine that you're in pool, church, gym, roof, mountaintop. if you yell, it reflects. every place has their own delay character.(frequency, diffusion) you should think about where is the best place for your song before you use delay. 2. delay from memories how can I say? it's like flashback. something is repeating in someone's memories. it might be blurry or distorted or modulated. most important word would be more louder and clear(or dirty). 3. fx imagine that someone is teleporting in movie. it's for interest and metaphor. 4. combination of 1. and 2. and 3. for example - delay across the present from past someone shouts in the present, but the sound is reflected back from the past and vise versa. if delay has lowcut, it means it reflects from ceiling, roof, top. if delay has highcut, it means it reflects from the deep(like underground, basement) or next room. if delay has bandpass around 1khz to 5khz, it means it's reflected near the horizon or in the middle of air. if delay has full frequency, It means it's reflected right next to it. close your eyes. try to see the sound.
on average we start noticing the signals are different at 50ms or more. it does take more trained ear (or someone who pays enough attention) to notice anything under 80mns and with a bunch of elements it gets harder but especially with transient heavy stuff it becomes more obvious.
I’m surprised that i did not subscribe i really benefit from your videos and get a big knowledge sorry bro for not being subscriber keep it up your content is so helpful for me
Hey, great video, I have a question. Why do you use the delay and reverb from fabfilter? Do you believe that these plugins are the best of the modulation plugins? Or is it the price:quality ratio?
Reverb and delay are not modulation effects, they are time-based effects. The modulation effects are: chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo and vibrato. It can be confusing to keep them apart in the beginning :) I can't answer to why he uses Fabfilter effects, but my personal opinion about them is that they are insanely good and well worth the price! The quality, workflow and functionality is just outstanding. They are also somewhat of a industry standard nowadays.
Reverb and delay together go so bomb🔥🧨
A systematic teaching and very well planned. Very very helpfull with shorter videos!!!
You are boringly consistent, another helpful video. Thank you!
I really like that modulation technique! 👍
wow did not know you can modulate timeless!!

Bro youre amazing really thank you so much
basically delay is an echo.
and it's related to the distance from the wall.
size of place(big - long, small - short), shape of place, texture of place.
there is 4 types of delay.
1. physical delay
imagine that you're in pool, church, gym, roof, mountaintop.
if you yell, it reflects.
every place has their own delay character.(frequency, diffusion)
you should think about where is the best place for your song before you use delay.
2. delay from memories
how can I say?
it's like flashback.
something is repeating in someone's memories.
it might be blurry or distorted or modulated.
most important word would be more louder and clear(or dirty).
3. fx
imagine that someone is teleporting in movie.
it's for interest and metaphor.
4. combination of 1. and 2. and 3.
for example
- delay across the present from past
someone shouts in the present, but the sound is reflected back from the past and vise versa.
if delay has lowcut, it means it reflects from ceiling, roof, top.
if delay has highcut, it means it reflects from the deep(like underground, basement) or next room.

if delay has full frequency, It means it's reflected right next to it.
