You should also replace Vympels with 2A37s, honestly. If you did that to all 16 Vympels you installed, you could block enemy salvos almost entirely so they do practically no damage to your ship, just few scratches on armor from few shells that did get through. I've built a heavy cruisor, one that's even bigger than the Sevastopol, but has same primary artillery cannons and 11 2A37S instead of Vympels. And these can create such a massive firewall that the cruiser survives difficulty 10 test as if it was nothing, getting almost no damage to hull or systems, with couple of engines getting destroyed at worst
As I mentioned in the video to this rebuild, I highly reccomend 2A37s and only retain Vympels due to preference/ keeping the seva flavour (Otherwise this is closer to being a Varyag than a Sev). That said, the continuous fire rate of 2A37 versus Zeniths in 1.16 is not adequate in these situations actually in my experience. You stop a few missiles and then the clip bottoms and its just as bad as vympels at zenith work while sucking harder against hull.
@@clankplusm Actually I think 2A37's got buffed HARD in Highfleet, empty hull no longer always blocks shots, and the bottom is always filled with engines which will be easily destroyed by a dozen or so 37's , on top of that on the campaign you can get the promotions to avoid the problem of "bottoming out" (just shoot in bursts? it sucks if you just shoot as it reloads) by getting the faster reload or start with full ammo perks. Either way it's personal preference so if you don't like em then that's fine too, dodging is the chad move to do anyway.
@@TheOppaiLord Clip bottoming is indeed helped by veteran gunner, but its possible RNG fucks you over and you have to wait for level 5, which on a ship this big may not happen 37's were not buffed afaik, only nerfed very little compared to 57, I think he scaled back the hitbox changes some so counterfire is back in some degree. Again, I highly reccomend 37mm over 57, I only keep 57 in for the vanilla sev vibe. The problem of bottoming out comes when you have to shoot too *many* bursts in a given timeframe, the 37mm's *overall* reload cannot reload faster than enemy missile spam, and you quickly find yourself driving the overall clip[ down with every burst until it bottoms. Very close discipline and preemptive maneuvering to get the missiles "inline" and try and take multiple with one burst *can* get you to make the full clip last until the enemy is out of missiles if not indefinetely, but costs so many mental cycles that you basically let yourself get wailed on by the enemy's guns for free
Yeah idk, youtube seems to have it out for me as of late. My algorithm is in complete ruin. Glad to have you back, however. It always makes me fuzzy inside when someone remembers my work
playing on highest settigs and glitch high like a chad despite PC clearly struggling
respect
I have skip frames on but yeah, any cruiser combat slows things down

@@clankplusm I never had problems with striking down Zeniths with 2A37s, but I agree that Vympels do give Sevastopol its vanilla feel

@@clankplusm have you checked out beanz's comparison against kh-15s? It's not exactly scientific, but they came out pretty much equal
6:10 is probably my favourite part lmao
Nice rebuild, now my Sevastopol is not on fire after every enemy barrage :D Tkanks!
I haven't been recommended a video from you since Sevastopol only part 2.

@@clankplusm I know its kind of a niche following, but no matter what you choose to do, you got people rooting for you. Best of luck man.
