    We grow these trees in Australia,out in the open. They grow in 40 DEG in the desert some 12 to 15 feet high.they don't like too much water and will tolerate the poorest soil.

    My yuca is turning yellow... I barelt water it.. so I know it's not an overwatering issue... I also have it in non-direct light... a lot of people on reddit are telling me that it needs direct sunlight and this is probably why it is dying.. the inconsistency of care on the internet is frustrating... somehow the indirect light is working for you... hmmm

      I just bought a massive 1 in half of a 55 gallon plastic barrel that's 7' tall, buddy had it for 18 yrs and when I picked it up, he had it in direct sunlight outside... southern canada though....
      I'm a logical thinker though, where do these originate from? That's should hive u a key idea to its needs... water, soil and light!!!

    Thanks for the video, your yucca looks super healthy, keep up the good work! One thing I didn't get though- do you water then if the bottom part of the stick is still wet or do you wait until it feels dryish pretty much all the way down? Thanks in advance! ❤️

    Thank you! I found this plant in the dumpster of my apt this morning. It is about the same size as yours maybe a tad larger but not by much! There was no name on it so I was glad to find you had the exact same plant!!
    I have never even heard of this plant til today so I have a couple of questions.
    How often do you need to fertilize it and do you know the best organic fertilizer for it?
    What are the best temperatures for it? You mentioned optimal temperature in summer but you never actually said what the temps were.
    How fast does it grown?
    And when do you know when it's pot is too small?

    Is there a right or wrong way to trim it? The top leaves are beautiful and green but the leaves on the bottom are very dried out. I want to cut them off but I don’t want to hurt it with shears. I have had it for about 3 years now and the person who gifted it to me has passed so I’m a little attached to it.

    I have 2 yucca plants how often do i water them in winter also I put them on a table in front my window which has a net curtain

    • @plantmaiahflowers2283
      @plantmaiahflowers2283  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching! In the winter the watering varies depending on temperature and sun exposure but roughly every 2 weeks is when I find my soil to be dry so I’ll give it a generous watering then wait until the soil dries again. You can use a moisture meter to get more accurate readings or try my skewer method to see if watering is necessary. I hope this information helps you!

    Wow, your Yucca looks so nice and healthy!! Mine started to develop powdery mildew few months ago and it keeps coming back even after I wiped and cleaned the leaves 4 times with a natural solution. What else can I do now?

    • @plantmaiahflowers2283

      I appreciate you watching! The best advice I have is to try 2 tbsp of Neem Oil mixed with water in a large water bottle and spray the plant down thoroughly!! You have to make sure you don’t miss any spots either so it’ll be tedious. I hope this info helps 😇

    my leaves are turning yellow! it's near a east facing window and when I use my moisture meter it indicates dry so I water it and tilt plant to drain. what should I do?

    • @plantmaiahflowers2283
      @plantmaiahflowers2283  2 роки тому

      Thank you for viewing! Instead of tilting it to drain go ahead and give it a generous watering and let the plant naturally absorb the water over time! Even though it doesn’t require a lot of water it still needs to drink when the time comes 😊 I hope this info helps!!

      Love your presentation style. Keep going. Really helpful. You might want to include additional plant care tips in a follow up video. Lessons I've learned; yellowing of leaf / leaf tips can mean too much watering, the plant does like to fully dry out before rewatering. Also yellow or burnt tips can result from wind scorch, the plant doesn't like too much draught or wind , preferring a more sheltered spot. Anyway, I think you're absolutely Gorgeous, love your energy and the way you put your video together. Bravo, wishing you well, and much happiness.
