    hiding the holes hack is awsome

    • @SallySaraClark
      @SallySaraClark  7 місяців тому

      Eeek thank you for saying that. I literally thought about it for days because I didn’t want to put wood filler in the holes and then you’d still see the different color and then even if you tint the filler you’d still see a hole shape. So thanks for noticing this haha!

    Awesome results! Do you have any suggestions for paint or stain if I wanted to make it metallic?

    • @SallySaraClark
      @SallySaraClark  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Dominique. Thank you. I am glad you like it. Hmm if it was me I would probably use spray cans in that case if you wanted it metallic. One with a primer so then you don’t have to prime the wood. I think that would be the easiest option. What metallic color are you thinking?

    • @SallySaraClark
      @SallySaraClark  8 місяців тому

      I don’t know how stable it would be with shelves. I can’t quite picture what you have in mind for that. Let me know what you are thinking

    • @SallySaraClark
      @SallySaraClark  8 місяців тому +1

      You can could make like a shelf cabinet out of it. They are originally meant to be shelves. So my only idea would be to make the ikea shelves and then use burlap for the back and sides and leave the front open and then paint color of choice on the wood. That could be an interesting diy hack

    How many coats have you done to achieve that dark brown colour i have done my first and it’s no where near that colour you have

    • @SallySaraClark
      @SallySaraClark  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi Yasmina. I only did one coat actually. I didn’t want it this dark. Looking back I didn’t wipe off the excess wax fast enough so mine got pretty dark. One of the frames though, when I rubbed the wax on I immediately wiped it up straight away and that frame turned out a little lighter. Are you using the exact same wax and color that I did?

    • @yasmina-el
      @yasmina-el 3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for responding! I actually had a different wax by accident which was much lighter than the one u used so i just got the right one and it turned out great! Thanks a lot!! Been looking for a room divider for ages and now i have one that is so chic and elegant and most importantly made by me ❤
