Hi Brian your videos bring joy to my heart . I don't know who taught you the trade but i bet he's proud of you. I'm an old man now but my dad taught me mine . It's a delight to see a young man taking pride in his work. Your hands and mind work as one in a way only a tradesman knows . Thanks for the videos and the memories they bring me.
Brian…. please do not stop making these videos that display the skill you perform, and have instrumental music in the background. I suffer from a fairly severe anxiety disorder, and your videos blend two of my favorite things….craftsmanship and music. I am a general, contractor, and we too pride ourselves in the renovations we do for our clients, and I also play guitar. Love it all man. You truly have no idea how much these videos bring a sense of peace to me. Thank you
Safety gear doesn't prevent accidents skill and experience does. Safety gear minimizes the damage after an accident. Two very different things. Personally I wear my PPE 90% of the time and remove it when experience tells me it's safe to do so.
You know your good when someone sends in a pair of boots to be resoled when they aren't even worn down. You my friend have have gift!!! You boots are like something the Lord made! Great job
Hey Brian, any chance we could have one of these videos without music so we can hear the atmosphere around you, tools, and machines? I'd definitely love that.
Yes that’s a good idea. Not that the music isn’t great. Totally wanna delve into your workspace when resoling & rebuilding boots. Unless of course Brian is listening to something like Barbara Streisand while he’s working.
I wanted a pair of Iron Rangers before I found your channel but now I want a resoled pair. The professionalism and detail make your videos very relaxing.
I love the videos the passion you have for your work really comes through. I especially love the respect you give to your teacher someone who poured their heart and craft into you. I pray God continues to bless you.
I truly wish that shoe repair and boot making had been available to me when I was much younger. I know that I would have been very good at it. Thanks Brian for all your fantastic videos .
I think that these type of episodes satisfy is because you see the start and end of the job. Not many people these days start a job and have the satisfaction of seeing it through to the customer smiling picking it up. Keep up the good work. And yes, use eye protection
My great uncle made me clean off the outside of the glue bottles once as punishment for rough housing inside the shop with my cousin, I kept it outside after that. My cousin had to clean out the bag on the sanders
I just picked up a pair of previously enjoyed Iron Ranger boots. I'm gonna wear the rest of the sole out and then send them in to Brain for a little resole magic.
Iron Rangers get their name from an area in Minnesota, a few hours north of where Red Wings are made. As someone from the Iron Range, I definitely love a good pair of Rangers! They'll always remind me of home!
crunch9876 doesn’t completely flatten and lose its support. leather stays supportive while becoming more pliable as you wear it. it’ll be stiff initially but in the long run it’ll be more comfortable
This was a pleasure to watch. Awesome work Brian, far better than new! One day I sent you my pair of Iron Rangers für a resole. Greetings from Germany!
Hey bro desde aqui NYC me.gusta tu estilo tu forma de trabajar y dejar no una bota dejas una obra de arte te felicito sigue para delante tu papa iso buen trabajo enseñandote ese arte eres un master le pones magia a lo que haces
Great video again Brian, and great color combination for the boots, I really like the music no complaints whatsoever,, but I really want to hear that nice machine stitching! “Role Club Rangers “ !
Whoever does your camera work is great, and your music choices are perfect. It's a pleasure to watch you work and create something new. Question: Do you ever work on or make women's boots? Where I live, boots are standard wear for men and women. Thank you for sharing a peek inside your creative process. You do superb work!
Red Wing should take notice of how you improve an already good boot. Mine are close to being as worn as those. I'm going to email you for a price. Great work as usual better than from the factory.
Great video and craftwork as always, why is the sole stitching not recessed into the sole, doesnt it wear through fast, or is this hows its always done, curious.
Great video but I have a question. If these were steel/composite toe how would you go about replacing it? I'm looking for a replacement for my own boots an can't find a replacement. Know where I can get a replacement for my own boots? Thanks for responding and keep on coming with great videos.
Brian the bootmaker, make a video of you making a pair of boots from beginning to end. I like your videos, they're like watching an old episode of Mr. Rogers.
I'm hooked on this don't know why but its relaxing and therapeutic seeing something getting restored.

Every week that machine tells him to wear eye protection and every week he refuses. Be safe Brian!
Crazy Russian Hacks aprroves this message, and do not aprovve his behavior
That, and he leaves the laces in when sanding. Always makes me nervous watching.
Silence Seven Ive noticed that too, that spinning cam probably has tremendous power and momentum. stay safe brian! you'll be needed those fingers 😂

☝️ this is my safety!
My grandfather taught me alot about shoe/boot care. This video gives me that nostalgia even tho he's been gone for 12 years now. Thank you for that.

Great music, but maybe change it up to just the shop noise and stuff. Good idea!
He should play Die With Your Boots On by Iron Maiden
Andrew Mudgett nope. Nancy Sinatra these boots were made for walking.
...Or a combination of both would be nice! Have the music, but have the shop sounds in there along with it. Love the videos!
I wanted a pair of Iron Rangers before I found your channel but now I want a resoled pair. The professionalism and detail make your videos very relaxing.
These videos are so peaceful and such high quality.
What a superbly therapeutic video. Wonderful to watch a true craftsman.
I love the videos the passion you have for your work really comes through. I especially love the respect you give to your teacher someone who poured their heart and craft into you. I pray God continues to bless you.
Just started looking up redwing vs Irish setter comparison and this channel popped up on my feed. Prob 20 vids in now, there goes my day.
Great job !! This kind of craftsmanship is seldom seen today.
Excellent work that so few know how to do anymore. Awesome hat too!
I truly wish that shoe repair and boot making had been available to me when I was much younger. I know that I would have been very good at it. Thanks Brian for all your fantastic videos .
Awful shoe sole
Got an exact pair of them myself. Amazing boots. Hats off to you man for keeping an old profession alive.
This is some of the most beautiful instrumental music I’ve ever had the pleasure to listen to. Makes me wish I knew how to play the guitar.
Yes, We LOVE our Iron Rangers! I bet you could rebuild this with your eyes closed and one hand tied behind your back :)
I think that these type of episodes satisfy is because you see the start and end of the job. Not many people these days start a job and have the satisfaction of seeing it through to the customer smiling picking it up.
Keep up the good work. And yes, use eye protection
The Role Club sole is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. Another pair of shoes given soul. 🌞☮️🥾
This is the best Iron Ranger to date. I’ll be sending you my Charcoal Rough n Tough in a year or so to get this done👍🏻
a feast for the eyes to see you work, love your videos!
I unironically love that disgusting little glue bottle. It really adds to the cobbler atmosphere.
My great uncle made me clean off the outside of the glue bottles once as punishment for rough housing inside the shop with my cousin, I kept it outside after that. My cousin had to clean out the bag on the sanders
I agree. Little touches like that are surprisingly effective at building atmosphere.
Love your work Brian! The music adds to the relaxingbnature of watching. Todd the retired trucker.
I never thought any video would lead me to take better care of my boots, but you’ve just done it!
I just picked up a pair of previously enjoyed Iron Ranger boots. I'm gonna wear the rest of the sole out and then send them in to Brain for a little resole magic.
You are amazing at your trade Brian. Great attention to detail!

Appreciate the art & craftsmanship you do Brian, God bless keep up the good work 👍👍
Quite the jump there between when he’s looking bemused at the boot that’s just shown it’ll need more work than he thought, and attaching the new sole.
Love the acoustic guitar music you use. Amazing craftsmanship.
Yeah we love our Iron Rangers and we love your channel too! Some of the best medicine on UA-cam.
Man, that is a pretty piece of work. Excellent, well done.
should have shown the process of recorking and such, just missed a very important part of the resole
Where does the cork in the old sole go?
It looks to me like the cork was gone when he opened up the soul.. like it came out some how.
J J
The leather midsole lasts longer and can be more comfortable than cork.
Ian Turnbow really? More comfortable? How can that be?

Red Wing should take notice of how you improve an already good boot. Mine are close to being as worn as those. I'm going to email you for a price. Great work as usual better than from the factory.
Great video once again! So relaxing watching your videos. I am still wanting you to do a pair of my boots when the time comes.

Usually heels and soles on the "Red Wing" is enough for 5-6 years.

Great video and craftwork as always, why is the sole stitching not recessed into the sole, doesnt it wear through fast, or is this hows its always done, curious.
This is the sole that I like.
This is a lullaby
Great video but I have a question. If these were steel/composite toe how would you go about replacing it? I'm looking for a replacement for my own boots an can't find a replacement. Know where I can get a replacement for my own boots? Thanks for responding and keep on coming with great videos.

Brian the bootmaker, make a video of you making a pair of boots from beginning to end. I like your videos, they're like watching an old episode of Mr. Rogers.
