May I just say that this is just a tad bit GENIUS to use cheap pillows for filler and liner! this reminded me of a craft version of Semi-homemade cooking show and I mean this as a huge compliment.
Thanks! Glad you liked the video!
Great tutorial, never thought of making floor pillows like this before but what a great idea. So glad I found your channel Patti and thank you for all you do, love watching your videos learning so much. Tammy
Perfect. Glad you found me. Floor pillows are so fun to have around. Thanks for watching!
Excellent ... wow...expensively fluffy looking pillow 😘thanks again for the awesome tips and ideas on how to make this beautiful tassel! 💖 it!
Your very welcome and thanks for watching!
Great tutorial and the tips are brilliant. The string to help keep things closed while sewing is going to save fighting with the pillow. Thank you so much Patti for sharing xx
Thanks Sue and your very welcome!
You are a really good teacher. I think I've been making tassels the hard way and they look nothing like yours. I like your method better. I wanted to make several large cushions for my living room using a beautiful printed fabric I found at Joann's fabric store. However, it was gonna cost me a small fortune to stuff them. But if I use Walmart pillows, the project will be quite doable. You always give very detailed instructions. Thank you for another great tutorial. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Ahh! Thanks Mary. So happy that you find my instructions easy to understand!
Yes, it can get very costly so using the pillows works really well to keep down the price. And I love that you don’t have to buy more material to make the pillow casing! Then I hit the bargain section at my fabric store and wait for the 50% off days. Totally doable then!
Love this pillow! After the New Year I'm going to make 2 out of nice fabric with tassels and then I'm going to work on some out of a more durable fabric with no tassels for my grandsons, keeping those stored in the closet for when they all visit. I have 7, yes 7, grandsons. Ages 17, 16, 10, 7, 6, 4, and 7 months. I love them all to pieces and each one is a precious gift from God, but truthfully, boys can be energetic and messy. I know, I raised 2 boys and 1 girl. Thanks for sharing this Diy and Happy Holidays from Florida 🌴😎🎄😎🌴
Hello in Florida!
My grandson is 2 now and it is so precious watching him learn and grow. But yes, he is an energetic curious boy for sure. So blessed that I get to spend time with him. This pillow has his name on it! So I used very sturdy upholstery fabric.
Beautiful. Thank you for this awesome tutorial. What a precious dog.
Thanks Patti
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. She is a wonderful dog!
Great job with tutorial as always. A super idea for gift giving. Like the pull string idea to hold stuffing down while closing seam. Super instruction on tassels as well. Peace.
Thanks Monica! Always a few tricks up my sleeve. Lol
Love your boston! ( and the tutorial) I have a black and white boston, they are the sweetest!
Hi DeAnna,
They are definitely the sweetest dogs ever and they give so much love. Glad you liked the tutorial too! LOL
terrific tassel technique~cant wait to make for my woven and felted bags too! (should have known you used some sort of finger protectors..who knew! lol!)
Thanks Renee! Haha. Just happened to have the finger protectors for doing my needle felting. Craft supplies galore!
Love this
Beautiful :)
This was a rather odd tutorial. Why not just buy a large pillow form?
A large pillow form that size is very expensive. Not sure if you have priced them out or not. Using the two bed pillows cuts the price down dramatically.
