poursomebeeronit what if you get hit by someone going the wrong way
Lone Wolf different situation than what he was in so that question is irrelevant
@@Cooper718- yammie noob was on the wrong side.
And dont be chip on your tiars... i fall from my bike because my back tiar was allmost without profile and on rain i took left turn down the small downhill with turn and my back tiar just slip and i broke down on asfalt.
I recently fell. Hit the front break too hard on my honda shadow 1100. i still ride, but i ride with a renewed sense of awareness now. i definitely understand what you mean there
"Why would I stop? I love doing it and I love how it feels." As an alcoholic, I understand this feeling.
He’s a noob tbh
I agree. Way to let yourself down 101. Quit it’ll make you more happy without it.
I'm not an alcoholic, I still enjoy it.
Hard to know whether you're being serious or not, but from someone whose life has been shaped by alcoholics, I'd think seriously about dealing with it before it destroys you and everyone around you.
@@marwood1969 same here. Seeing the damage it has caused to my friends & family. I talk to family members and they have rose colored sunglasses. I know a functioning alcoholic. Blacks out cant remember what happened. Multiple injuries from falls. The reason for the drinking was back & hip pain. Then the bitterness came in. I just dont like to be around that.
I crashed last year and badly broke my leg...but I just graduated from Physical Therapy today. So now I'm just waiting for it to stop snowing and get warmer before I start riding again. 😃
know the feeling of having broken bone it undescribable broke my elbow due to guy who in rush to beat me to a exit on a roundabout pain killer casts insurance and repair. it nightmare year on still have problem with it can't straighten my arm out after 1 hour riding but still try to enjoy it while bearing the pain
i broke my elbow too, a dog attacked me on the motorcycle when i was making a turn
Tib, Fib?
Feel ya bro, last year in may i had a stupid crash, front wheel slipped on a tram track, shatered my humerus wrecked the nerve.. now on good track to recovery, and cant wait to ride again 😎 cheers mate... and cudos to yammie scoop the baldy dude keep up the positive energy
@Christopher King : Tibia. Tibial plateau fracture, to be exact. It split from the knee joint down about 6", along with another break to the side. I now have 2 titanium plates and a ton of screws holding it together. My X-Ray looks like an angry contractor went to town on a 2x4 with his nail gun!
If you stopped riding after an accident then there would be like 80% less riders out there
If you crash your dual turbo nitro busa first day riding it at 250mph you should probably stop.
if people stopped driving after crashing their car there would be no more woman drivers effectively making the roads safer
@@anabeladavilla5462 you have a point
Connor LuVisi nah. Just rub some dirt in the cuts, tape the bones together and use your knees to get the bike back upright.
Anabela Da Villa true woman cause minor accidents but for some reason it’s always some mid age lady or teen not paying attention when turning or using blinkers
r/oddlyspecific
No No No
The real question is...
Should you stop crashing when you ride?
I think so
😄😄😄...this reads like a comment I would have posted
If it was possible...
I was t boned by a person who ran a red light...I honestly should be dead...but i wanna keep riding
If an accident causes u to be skittish, and unconfident.....even after getting back on a bike, I'd recommend not riding until u can be comfortable again....if not it could create more problems
Still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about the Yam taking flight like that.
Exactly, it's really difficult to watch. But the pleasure is that Yammie is alright and is on the wheels again, stronger than ever! 😊
Maybe if we crowd fund the Yam Space Program he will have better equipment in the future, instead of relying on Porsches and boulders and high speed motorcycles for his take offs.

Deadfeeder234 ..... Factz
Got hit by a car on my bike 2 hours ago. Shook me up. Came to hear some sage advice from Papa Yam. Bless up
Dude was it on Friday?
I feel ya brah, same happened to me, on Friday. We're not alone!
Guess what, I fixed my handle bars, checked my forks, placed my pedals into a vise and hammered the hell out of it until they were straight. And I said to myself while walking with me leg totally messed up:
"I shall ride you today."
Feel bad for you guys, I'm almost 14 and do not have my motorcycle license, but I have a dirtbike with a clutch, have had it for 3 years, been riding since i was 5. Started on a 50cc auto 2 stroke, then 80cc semi auto 2 stroke, now clutch 140cc 4 stroke, getting a 250cc clutch soon, I haven't had a good stack since like 3 or 4 years ago on my 80cc I almost broke my neck. But I keep riding, hope you guys are okay
I am 50 years old, and I have been a Trauma-Surgical ICU nurse (male) - now the unit nurse manager - and I have seen countless people die horrible violent deaths and suffer horrendous life changing injuries from motorcycle. So image my colleagues reaction and condemnation when I told them I was taking up motorcycling after being influenced by a life long friend who has ridden bikes all of his life. it was something I wanted to do, and was heavily influenced by the worsening traffic and parking issues here in Southern California. 2018 was a long process of classes, learning, buying the right bike, testing, practicing and gaining confidence. I have had a few minor issues while practicing but so far everything is going good and I wish I had done this earlier. Without doubt, every time I makes rounds on the unit and one of the bedside nurses tells me the trauma from last night was an MCA, I cringe, but it doesn't deter me to keep doing this. I take great precautions, ride defensively and most importantly ride within my limitations. Its one of the best things I have every done, and despite the images in my head of the things I have seen, I hope to keep doing it for along time to come. Appreciate your videos.
hubbell627 and of course you should be wearing proper gear all the time
All the time.
Well said. Young rider here. Knowing and seeing the danger can deter some people, but if you feel the need to ride then nothing will change that. Be safe out there and always wear the proper gear, because the day you decide you don't need it will be the day you truly do.
As a new rider at 51 it seems to me that mc riders are to blame for a lot of incidents.
If you’re consistently speeding, swerving in and out of traffic and generally riding like an idiot it’s only a matter of time before it catches up to you.
dont know if youll ever see this but 5 years later, hows motorcycling been?
I hate that people act like you’re perfect just because you’re a UA-camr 😂
No one is perfect but most of us don't ride on a suspended license on the wrong side of the road speeding crash into an innocent person and then try to avoid any responsibility like he did.
No Way! I ride nearly DAILY. Get back in the saddle as quickly as possible! I now ride with a Titanium Tibia... November 2003 Crash and was back in the saddle just a month later. I have been in 4 street collisions with cars over the 35 years I have been riding on the street and some have been hard to recover from. Motorcycling is a way of life for me... Dirt, Street, Sport... I like them all. It provides a stress relief and an outlet for the mischief I'd for sure be in ... if I were not on a motorcycle. Pick it back up... Access the damage... and RIDE! - My 2 Cents, Kyle
Ofc your name is Kyle

“pick it back up, access the damage, and ride!”. Just fell recently. That is exactly what happened lol i love it man ride on!!!
Kyle back at it again bro
It felt like you were talking from my heart, because i think the same on every point you said and you are so right that people dont understand the feeling motorcycle gives if they havent tried it ^_^
I had two slow speed
This is really encouraging. I already fell from my bike twice. Totally understand you here that if you enjoy something, you may fail sometimes, but in time you'll be back at it again. Thanks Papa Yam :)
Glad you survived that terrible accident. So easy to make a mistake. Take care and good fortune.
Brave for talking about this when people on UA-cam clowned you. I found you through the clowning & I’m glad I subbed!! Push on Yammie Boob :)
I begrudgingly give props to you YAM. Nads of steel after the things you've been through.
You're a stronger man than most.
Whenever I haven't been in a truck I've spent a lot of miles on a mountain bike. I'm pretty sure this 2 wheeled life is for me. Love your content brother. Keep them coming. Hopefully I'll get to meet you on a ride someday.
I'm 56 & 3 yrs ago I had a horrific trail ride crash, compound fracture L1 vertebrea, very painful. Was off all bikes for bout 6 months but got back on all bikes as soon as I could. Still riding strong, don't ever give up something you love to do!
You had a compound fracture of the vertebrae?? Like the bone punctured a
Skin? Or do you mean compression fracture? Glad your okay
@@HangtownTactical yeah, I meant compression fracture & thanks!
I know a man who used to be a Denver Policeman. He had several nasty wrecks on several different Goldwings. One took him under a semi trailer that caught him by his belt and drug him for another mile before the truck stopped. He still buys and rides motorcycles to this day and he’s pushing 70 years old now.
Yammi I completely agree that nothing should stop you from riding coming from someone who wrecked and spent 3 days in the hospital to piece back together my collar bone once you find out that you truly love riding you can't stop
So true.
Factz
two types of rider man those that have crashed and those that are going to.
I don't like that analogy as I just started riding and have not yet crushed.
Maybe but being a defensive rider will drastically lessen the chance of getting into an accident. Never been involved in an accident so far.
Omar Carrilos: I crashed 3 times. Always walked away with minor bruises because I wear all the gear all the time and I usually drive defensive. It All 3 accidents happenend in rain, one lowsider 2x front wheel slipped while breaking. So I learned to keep it even easier in rain.
Well I'm firmly in the former category having been 'down the road' on several occasions. That said, it's been many, many years since ... and I put that down to experience. So fingers crossed my bike crashing days are behind me.
It’s an inherently unstable mode of transport. You will wreck. Quit kidding yourself.
7:35 was a beautiful sight of brotherhood
I feel this has to be said again. As I was scrolling down thw comments I came across someone who said something like: "Not everyone needs to stop, JUST YOU NEED TO STOP!" (paraphrased) This was my response to them before the comment disappeared:
"Why? Is he not allowed to learn from his mistakes and go on with his hard won life knowledge? He seems to be riding very resposibly in his video's and is owning the mistakes that he has made. On top of that he is preaching for others to be safe. Why should he stop doing the things he loves now?"
Keep up the great video content Yams, you're doing great.
Yes, but if you get into multiple ones you might be the problem. Getting back on without fixing it will just end up with you being back in the hospital.
@@soapkz3958 he already said he was the problem. How is he driving now, 2 years later? Should he always have his mistakes held against him for the rest of his life?
@@deathwish8339I'm not pointing him out may be he has learnt but he doesn't say anything about fixing your mistakes he just says if you feel like it, go ahead.
He's a selfish "street Rossi" that will end up killing someone innocent. His track behavior on the street could kill a child. His cocky squid behavior should have killed him.
Good to see you back on a bike, I would say you should never stop riding due to an accident as long as you can keep learning from those experiences. 3 days after I bought my first bike I locked the front tire and dropped it, made a mental note to be more gentle with the brake and kept on going.
Just had a small crash last week while coming home from university..and then hesitating to ride again..now i made my decision.. thanks papa yam..

Just crashed a 2009 R6 in December, totaled the bike. Im still recovering from a couple fractures. I was riding fully geared up and im lucky to have walked away almost unscathed. I just want to say the videos keep me motivated and keep my spirits up. It's been a challenging time for sure in some weird ways. But I'm super excited to get back to full health and back to riding. How fast were you going?
I had a major accident in november 2018. Broken femur, broken arm, broken nose, fractured hip socket, big gash on my forehead, brain bleed, amnesia... was wearing a full face helmet, jacket and gloves. Pants were just long work pants.
I was off work entirely for 3 months. At 6 months I started riding my work motorcycle again (I deliver mail and parcels via a honda NBC 110 for Australia Post). September 2020 I bought my own motorcycle again for the first time since the accident.
As someone said below... don't stop riding, but do start riding smarter.
I wrecked in February this year and ended up having to get a plate and a rod in my leg but the bike got away with just bent bars and a broken mirror. I figured out a way to strap crutches to it and was riding before I was given a walking boot. It only made me more cautious and aware of my mistakes.
Two years ago I crashed my crappy chinese 125cc bikeat 60 into a lamppost after being dazzled by some LED headlights on full beam (I was wearing head to toe protective gear including CE rated Knee pads etc.. I broke my acetabulum (hip) into 30 pieces, my knee cap in to 15 and my femur. I spent a full 31 days in hospital, had 5 major surgeries and several other procedures to reconstruct what was left of my hip. The Doctors said they would have simply removed it and replaced it with a prosthetic but since I was 18 at the time I had growth plates so that wasn't an option. I spent the next 7 months in Headley Court (the main military rehab centre in the UK). I had to leave the army after just 18 months because of my permanent injuries. I will need to have a hip replacement as soon as I loose the growth plates and I'm on a walking stick until after that. I have arthritis in my knee and hip and will have to live with it for the rest of my life.
Two years on I'm studying a physics degree in Wales and riding round on a brand new XSR700 with the full titanium Akro system (thank you insurance money). FUCK NO you shouldn't stop riding, learn from the crash, improve and ride on a more experienced motorcyclist.
Big love to the Yamster.
Damn 30 places? You obligated your hip
Damn... motorcycle accidents can be brutal. And I'm such a chicken when it comes to pain.😀. Glad u made it through.
It's good to see you back on two wheels Yammie. I always have enjoyed your content ✌
Glad to see you back riding!!
Just had my first accident after a month and a half of riding and am glad that I stumbled across your video.
My dad has had some crazy accidents over the years. He eventually stopped riding because he had to support his family and didn't have time. I recently got my first bike, a lifan 126GY-6, I see my dad having a go and he looks in his element. Riding never just goes from your life.
Being an avid bike lover, as well as an extreme skier in hobby, I can only agree that if you truly love something, it is worth trying to overcome your potential fears if something goes wrong. If you can't do what you love, yea you might survive, but will you really live? That is of course just my mindset, and I know it won't be applicable for everyone. If your fear is actually putting you in further danger, then I'd say you should consider some sort of compromise - but even if something does go wrong, if you lay down your bike, the best way to overcome that following fear of riding is to simply get out and ride again and get slowly back into it. You might have to push yourself to do it even if you are not comfortable with it, but it's the best way to get back into something you used to love. And it can be applied to many aspects of life, not just biking or things that are physically dangerous. Comfort zones and the way you enjoy things in life are not static, they constantly move around and adapt to your experiences and your state of mind, so just because you might be afraid of something in the moment, remember that it can change in the future if you want it to.
I just had serious accident about 3/4 weeks ago and I had watched this video before the accident and now watching it after, never been in this situation and never understood the effect of how it can impact your life, I don’t think anyone should stop it’s a passion and everyone that rides will agree
stay strong yam. loving the many videos
I totaled my first bike and I've dealt with family member's deaths better. Can't stop. Won't stop.
Love your content brother.
Glad you are back brother. You can't keep a good man down. The people that say you shouldn't ride do not know the fact that "4 wheels move the body but 2 moves the soul". God bless
I broke my hand, arm, and wrist all to s*** by crashing into an electrical housing unit due to brake malfunction, im getting back on 2 wheels this coming week. This vid really helped get over it ✌
I was going 25 down a residential road and an older man in an SUV turned in front of me claiming a sign blocked his view of me. It was too to stop and my bike went down and I slide underneath him. He ran over the right side of my body. 5 fractured ribs, 2 collapsed lungs, fractured right foot and right wrist and cracked liver. (no one can believe the damage that was caused only doing 25 but I was in a residential and I don't act crazy on my bike or in my sports car in residential areas out of respect for people) I still bought another motorcycle and ride it. It's fun, relaxing and peaceful to me. I was scared to buy another. Everyone told me not too. I didn't want fear to conquer me. I didn't want to feel like it controlled me.
If you caused it, at whatever 'vintage of experience' on public roads, own it.
I got into a pretty bad accident on my old bike October 2017 I was coming out of a shell gas station coming out of a shell gas station to cut across two lanes to go left as it was a red light for the cars going straight ( yes it is legal) and one of the Poland spring water trucks t-boned me as he sped up to beat the red ligh about 400 feet away I flew like 15 feet in the air the EMTs were shocked I lived cause my bike was basically a unicycle (split in half) they said I must have landed every possible way perfectly to not have sustained any serious injuries other than a massive concussion and a sprained knee I bought another bike about 2 months later only side effect was alittle nervous coming out of gas stations and merging onto highways
Broke my leg in February last year on my snowmobile. When I was able to walk I needed to do ankle exorcises, my friend said to sit on his bike to work the shifter. Well a month later I bought my first bike and got 5 more degrees out of my ankle. So not only should you get back to riding, hell it's damn good physical therapy.
I've been down probably 5 or 6 times. Within each one of those were several lessons learned, and that helps me be a better rider. Awareness of environment, bike/body position, and one's own ability is key
I was knocked off September 2018. Relatively SLOW impact, but I landed right on my wrist and smashed the distal radius up bad...
2019 and finally back on it. I would NEVER give it up unless I literally couldn't do it. I don't have full movement back, but it's enough to ride.
It's my passion. Nothing will deter me.
I spent 45 days in a coma from a motorcycle accident. After I came to, and After long painful rehab therapy. Months later I went from the wheelchair to crutches. I got back on a bike. I couldn't wait to ride. I agree with what you said. If you love it, do it. Many people obviously criticize me. But they just don't get it. And I'd rather go doing something I love. Maybe something is wrong with our heads.
Yammer Noob has made his share of mistakes like us all. But I respect him for owning up to it, maturing, and keep riding and making content rather than giving up. Keep up the good work Yammie👏🏾
Happy to see you riding a motorcycle again yammie!!
I've had 3 accidents on my cg125 when i was a learner (and 1REALLY close call) 1. coming around a corner big patch of dirt in the road i panicked and tried to come to a controlled stop and it did not go well. smashed my hands to pieces because i put them out to try and save myself and the gloves were garbage. 2. woman pulled out in front of me i swerved to avoid in the rain and crushed my foot because i hit her on the side and boots had no reinforcement. 3. 30mph guy in front of me did emergency stop because someone pulled out on him my drum brakes were not enough to stop me so i hit him on the towing hitch with my front wheel I got pulled down pretty hard, full leathers full armor not a scratch on me stood the bike up and walked it off
all 3 incidents highlighted GET GOOD GEAR FIRST TIME AND WEAR IT everyone makes mistakes and thats ok if you learn from it but if you dont wear decent gear or if you have one accident after another you may not be fit for riding some people just aren't you need to be honest with yourself about it for you and everyone else's safety
the close call was on my zzr600 gearbox and rear wheel locked up at 130mph... clutch in all was fine
I did . May 2017 struck by an intoxicated driver. Bilateral compound tib-fib fractures, broken right ankle, foot , toes, fractured a couple ribs, lacerated liver, both cheekbones, jaw, both orbital bones, 13 teeth, couple fingers on my right hand, nearly bled out, major concussion and about 20% of my skin to road rash. Not a fun two years of recovery. Still working on just getting back to normal.
Whoa. Must have been terrible indeed. Hope u're doing much better.
God I’m in hospital as we speak awaiting surgery after sustaining multiple fractures.
And Tammie is right the first thought as my leg was dangling on the tarmac wasn’t to stop riding lol.
It was simply to learn from my mistakes, and I’m gonna do that, I take responsibility for it!
Keep riding Yammie boob
I went down face first on my bmx around 30mph July 2017 (week before my bday) and got a grade 3 spleen tear. I rode maybe three times afterwards, white knuckling the whole time. Fast forward last February. Came down with groin to calf blood clots in my right leg and found out I was born with a missing right leg deep vein. Jump to this past July I went and got my MSF cert for my bday and to attempt to rid myself of the fear of crashing. Got a 2010 HD 48 to just putt around on in August and love it. It took getting on a motorcycle to help me get back on my bmx. Something that was second nature for the last 18 years and have taken many slams and knockouts but it took having two near death experiences to remind me that we've got one life to live. Do what you want while you're here. Tomorrow might not come.
Cheers, Yammie
Glad you're back on a bike!
Good to see you back on two wheels mate, ride safe

I had a wreck two months ago and broke my collar bone. Bike was totaled. Been looking for a bike the day after my accident
When I put mine under a truck I had 4 days off (couldn't walk) then straight back on it. Had to get my boss to help me off the courtesy bike when I got into work.

i've been riding 41 yrs now, had some minor and one major accident(car pulled out straight out in front of me at a junction, right into it's side), i'll ride till i can no longer throw a leg over a saddle. and my wife knows this, she has been riding pillion with me for over 30 yrs, ride safe and smart, treat everyone on 4 wheels as an idiot/sleepy/phone addict.
There is nothing better than riding a motorcycle BUT it does require restraint. There is a time and place to let it go, on a track, but the street is very unforgiving of letting it all hang out.
You are a great writer Yammie, best list videos on the web. I appreciate your take on motorcycling and I wish you the best as you climb back on. If you ever get to the Ft Worth side of the metroplex, look me up. We'll go have lunch or something.

You remind me of my MSF coach...but I appreciate the training I would of crashed already if not for that training... Appreciate you both ..
I love the offer of comraderie
I like what You do, good job man
Keep up the good work. You should be more careful about moments like 1:12. Those cars waiting for a left turn might not expect the 0-60 in 4 seconds from a vehicle that just joined in.
I would add that it's a good idea to go track weekend, it relieves the pressure. I feel like I'm riding so much slower since... The first track day did not help me yet. After two days though, I was so tired, I could only chill on the road with Pink Floyd on my intercom and smiling at sunshine.
I had one minor accident when I first started riding but it scared the crap out of me. It was then that I really considered if motorcycles are worth it and so I just stopped riding for a few weeks but after the second week I just couldn't stand taking the buss to college anymore. So I said fuck it, I dusted the bike off and now I ride in virtually all kind of weather conditions including rain and sometimes snow. The one big thing that I changed about my riding was to start trusting my gut. I don't over exceed my limits and I do the best I can to follow the law and while I still pull a few wheelies here and there and other hooligan things, I always follow my instincts that tell me if what I'm about to do is s good idea. The one peace of advice I can give anyone is just trust your instincts, they are there for a reason don't try to go against them and dont try to show off cause things always go wrong when your overconfident and unaware. Good luck to all of you recovering from your accident and happy motorcycling to all.
Good to see you back on 2 Yam ✌🏽️
I just started riding 6 months ago. I feel off my bike for the first time last month. I was going up a steep driveway and there must of been some sand. I skidded onto my right side going about 5 miles per hour. I always wear full gear. I ended up with just a little bruise on my leg and a scratch on my handle bar. It just gave me a greater respect of riding and also removed some of my fear of falling. Now that I've fallen I see that it isnt an instant death sentance or permanent injury. Just ALWAYS wear full protective gear!
I just saw do it with Dan's video on your accident, bunch of bull shit! Glad your still with us buddy.
In October of 2018 I slammed into a guard rail going much faster than you would like to slam into a guard rail and died momentarily from blood loss due to the fact that the sheet metal grabbed my knee cap and pulled all the flesh on my leg down like ripping a corndog of its stick.
Thankfully the EMT's kept me alive and the surgeon was able to reconstruct my leg. Fast forward to June 2019 I am back to riding again.
I lost 20k+ to the accident not being able to work while in recovery and I lost all the cartilage on one side of my knee and some memory. But I didnt lose my will to ride. And importantly I didnt lose my life.
Thanks for hanging in there yam slice

Later went to sport bikes and have had 7 accidents the last being serious but we learn from them. I still have dirt bikes, an R1 and a Harley Vrod. My next bike I plan to get is a Dacati Diavel. It’s a passion bro
for you noob i recommend a nice reliable toyota corolla, keep everyone safe here
I agree with the analysis. I've got two accidents under my belt on my bicycle - first time I got t-boned by a car, after recovering from that I got back on. The second time, around six months later, a fresh crosswalk claimed my front tire's traction, broke the same bone (and metal plate!) and everything. After that one... I still ride occasionally, it's just inconvenient now. I'm still on it though!
Ive lowsided many times, but never had what I'd consider a full on crash. I was going 60 down a two lane road and this lady ran a red light turning left in the opposite lane, cut right in front of me. Completely locked my rear tire and kinda slid around her. I heavily agree with your point of "loving it so much you can't stop". Always prepare for a crash, and it'll hit you a lot easier and wont completely rob your mental state
So weird to see that you literally rode right by not only my current house but also my previous house in this vid
I had 2 low sides, and hit by a truck. I rode home if I could, and started repairing the bike ASAP to continue riding.
Keep it up, ur channel is awesome ^__^ ~~~~ greetings from switzerland
Bless that the SUV at 2:39 saw you. Rossi was watching.
for real he didn't even get defensive I think yammie didn't even see him.
I had a major accident 4 years ago, but when i recover a little i start riding again. After 3 months on bed but i am not scared, i feel more freedom now than before.
This squid is a legend over on /r/motorcycles, and in the community in general.
2022 and he's still squiding it up.
A true rider never stops...;)
Was not expecting a moto vlog nice !
Mental fortitude is key, a previous accident may cause one to hesitate/overthink while riding. As all riders know, control over ones machine is critical, hesitating on a maneuver could be deadly.
Actually crashed last fall in the twisties
Me and my bike were mostly ok tho luckily
Glad to see you back in the saddle again
Keep it up papa yam🏍💨
I only stopped because I couldn't afford an other bike but hopefully soon I'll get another. I miss riding so much.
I think the difference is whether you know what you did the cause the accident. If you were doing something silly and you crash you can learn from it, but if you were riding along and somebody just crashes into you or pulls out on you with no warning then it's bound to shake confidence.
Yammie you the shit man. Dont stop bro. Love brother from South Africa read about it!
I been riding for over 35 yrs and I’ve made some dumb ass mistakes. The one thing I learned really quickly was “Never make the same mistake twice”!!!
Started riding last year and broke my arm soon after I came off while playing in the dirt, my bike is a crf250L, because of bad breaking. Long story short I was nervous about getting back on but my physical therapist, who also rode, helped me get over it physically and mentally and get back on the bike. Now I have my licence and am loving it.
Oh and it looks like we're getting some nice weather here West of DFW. So how could I not ride?
Yam, please keep both hands on the handlebar, especially going through intersections. I noticed in this video you tend to talk with your left hand. You never know when you might need to make a quick avoidance maneuver.
Well thought out points you make in this video. I like the unscripted format as well.
Hi Yammie! Have you thought about getting a Honda Grom and just committing to not riding fast? I'm a new rider and I ride a Grom, so of course I think everyone should ride a Grom. But seriously you might want to think about it. I dig the content you produce, so keep it coming!
The buzz I get from confronting the risk is part of the appeal of every ride.
Car drivers never quit driving after a crash, and often get their car modified if they are paralyzed from the waist down. Motorcycle riding does take more skill, with less crash protection. It is sad when you are too old or too damaged to ride, and need 3 or 4 wheels to drive instead of ride. At least the Yamaha Niken leans in corners.
This topic is like asking "If you fall while walking, should you stop walking?"
Great topic, awesome you're riding, good to hear of the lesson learned. On a side note, I am a little irritated and a bit worried watching this and seeing that you cannot filter. My poor sweet yamm yamm.
yammie, the first motorcyclist to enter a low earth orbit. Loving you content yammo
