Nice vid. I bought one too. It's a great all round package which is more than the sum of it's parts. It defies it's spec sheet for sure. I also put on the Suzuki adjustable levers, Powerbronze tail tidy, Evotech radiator guard & an Akropovic full system on mine too. I'm still running it in with about 800 miles on it so far & very pleased with it to date.
That’s so funny that in the begging of the Video I seen you live in an apartment building b4 you said that other bike was stolen .. I always recommend everyone that if you don’t have a home or rent a home don’t buy a motorcycle for that reason off being stolen so much.. you have to consider how much your motorcycle weighs the 8R is very light it take 2 person to pick it up .. the gps.. there’s a scanner that they use to scan for the gps b4 they take it .. but happy for you on your new bike .. hopefully it stays with you for ever
Love the bike. Bought the silver/red. Did the tail delete kit so far, but I've only had the bike 12 days. 400 miles and already spent $340 due to a screw in the tire. It is what it is. Gotta pay to play. Love the bike.
Thanks for the perspective/video! Have family just outside Raleigh, the town of Angier. Wanted to know if you've experienced any vibrations - foot pegs, handlebars in particular that might have caught your attention? Thanks!
Definitely some handlebar vibrations! After this ride my hands were numb and tingly. I think it might have been just nerves riding the new bike for the first time and gripping too tight. Haven’t had the issue again even prolonged rides.
Can someone confirm if 10k sounds like the otd price I'm looking at this bike here in cali and the advertised prices are 7.5k does that even out to 10k otd?
Oh shit I ride these same roads. Capital power sports almost sold me on an mt07 but I bought the silver gsx-8r instead over at team power sports by the airport.
@@Texas2Step79 I won't get into the break-in process arguments about what manufacturers tell the masses to do, because it's frankly pretty dumb, but regardless, shift up into 6th when cruising. Same as I wouldn't drive my 6speed manual car in 3rd gear down the interstate all day.
I would put one of those thick ass kryptonite chains on it and anchor it down personally. Yes they can cut through it (with time), but they would be there a while, it might not be worth it to them.
Idk man, I'm liking the Yoshimura. My only issue with the TST is they make you buy like four different products for it. There's the Fender Eliminator, the Tail light, the license plate light, and then the relay to make sure the blinkers aren't stupid fast.
@@americanerrant1332 I cant argue with you there lol you do have to fully commit and buy multiple things to go the tst route. It’s worth it imo, but I can see why you would go with yoshi instead

How’s the Akra sound?
@@americanerrant1332 Sorry, missed your reply. It sounds very nice, like a big V-Twin but it needs the baffle out & mapping for the full benefit.

My SV650 also got stolen a while back, and I'm looking at the GSX-8R now. Nice to hear your perspective as a fellow former SV650 rider!
Do it, it's an incredible bike. Super comfortable and it's got more power than you can really use on public roads.
Love this i bought the same exact one color, and all i need is some accessories
Best color!
Great video, keep it up man. Let's see some more
Thanks! More coming soon

Just got a blue one. My delete kit and yoshimura are on the way.

@@americanerrant1332 Thank you for that feedback. Was trying to compare with a Ninja 650 (somewhat "vibey" experience)

That’s about what I had. Don’t pay more than $1500 in fees on top of advertised price.
Yea. The price came down. About 8300-8800 out the door incl gees now.
Mine was about 9500 otd in Florida. Bike was like 8300 + 600 delivery + 500 tax + 200 registration and tags.

Don't think I've seen a rider ride in 3rd or 4th gear at high rpm down a highway. You're burning more fuel and creating more vibration.
Same ....shift that Thang!!! Plus Suzuki doesn't recommend over 4k rpms for first 500 miles

your SV looked stunning
Check the one I used to have out.
Had to get rid of it
I didn’t like it at all
What did you not like about it?
I like the dash
The dash is a HUGE improvement over the SV650. You can actually toggle between light and dark mode too. Great view of RPMs, Speed, Gear selection.

The M4 is awesome…
What kind of gas mileage do you get?
I'm getting 53mpg.
