I love this. Usually other UA-camrs will purposely make the product look or perform horribly.... Or make a mockery of Dollar Tree/General makeup. I love makeup and have makeup from all price points. I get so excited when something is suuuuuper affordable and performs well. I have all those LA Colors cream blushes. They're great. LA Colors has amazing gel lip/eye liners at Walmart for $2. Their holographic lip glosses are my favorite. Shopmissa has some hidden gems as well. Their line, AOA, has some great products for under $2. Really would love if you reviewed some products from them. Thanks Emily 💕
Emily turned me on to The dollar tree believe beauty brand, and it is so good. The mascaras are manufactured in Italy and perform as good as high end. Same for their other products. We love a budget beauty ❤
We got a Dollar Store Market and they have Profusion. Profusion was not in my Walmart. I bought a lot of stuff!! I love it. Thank you for this video, Emily!! I love that you understand that people are on a budget in this economy!
I love L.A. Colors and talk about them a lot on my channel. I just posted an L.A. Colors video a couple days ago and it got way less views than most of my other videos get and it is very discouraging because they deserve more love. You make an excellent point about accessibility, Emily! The nearest Ulta/Sephora is over 90 minutes from me; Target and Walmart- 30 minutes, but you bet my town has two DG's! And it's so fun, as a make up lover, like you said - to run into DG for an item or two and grab something fun from the make up aisles. Why not? If I don't like it - I'm out a few bucks, ilbut itt brightens my day, and is way easier than waiting for an order/returning something/being out more money from a more expensive retailer! And, you know, looking at that neutral eyeshadow palette - it looks way more balanced than some of the viral, high-ends neutral palettes that people are spending upwards to $70 on! Love it!!

Thirty seconds in, and yes, you have done plenty videos showing us a full face of cheap makeup, but the difference between them and Emily, you actually give ALL OF THE MAKEUP a chance. You don’t go in with the “I am too good for cheap makeup” attitude, you are positive, and if something isn’t good, you tell us, and if something is amazing, you tell us. I’ve been married for over 30 years. My sweet husband wouldn’t know the difference between high end/ low end price makeup on me. He’s incredible and loving in so many ways~ but literally does not notice a difference when I get a haircut. Unless it’s a super drastic/ bold look with clothing, hair or makeup most people don’t really notice. Love the channel ✨
While we’re on this topic I thought I’d share a really good find from the LA colors line too. They have a mood instinctive lipgloss. Pink ombré packaging. It turns this beautiful light pink shade on me but the formula is so so good! It feels exactly like the Summer Fridays butter balms. Has the exact same squeeze tube packaging (just smaller in size) with the exact same applicator as the butter balms. It also has that same thick plush feeling without being sticky. Something I like even more about the La colors one is that it’s pretty long wearing for being a lipgloss. Even when the gloss part starts to wear off, your left with this pretty subtle pink color that lingers around for quite awhile. Highly recommend❤☺️
I have had that brow pomade for a couple of years and it’s still good! Not dried out still creamy and works! And I use that brush all the time. I have a Dollar General and a Family Dollar close by and it’s so nice when I haven’t done a curbside or I just need a few essentials. And I often grab some sort of beauty product lol.
I picked up some lip glosses by them a while back that are my literal favorite formula. They remind me so much of the texture of the too faced peach gloss back in the day. They’re the high shine with shea butter. They aren’t there anymore but Amazon has them. Also have a toasty powder blush that is divine
❤❤ Also, the l.a. colors cream lipsticks from dollar tree are wonderful too. If you find the shade " big deal" , " bright pink", or " victory", definitely give them a try!
I love the dollar tree La colors crème blush in the little tube. Not a lot in it but you barely need any and it actually lasts all day. It’s so pretty. But mine looks different than the one Emily used. I love when you are excited over the best deals in everything. The look is beautiful!!!!!,

I am in a total rut with my lip colors, I wear the same mauvey pink, brighter pink sort of light plum, pink nude, with the occasional red on repeat alllllll year longgggg…… I would like to branch out into some sort of season specific rusty colors, burgundy colors, slightly vampy shades but I don’t know where to start. Emily, if you would please next time you do one of these low-cost makeup videos, can you please just mention, that the makeup does not give you rashes or do anything "crazy' to your skin (unless it does), because some people think just because it's "cheap makeup" that there are dangerous ingredients in it that's going to make their skin fall off or something. I use makeup from the Dollar General & Tree all the time & have NEVER had a problem. But, you know how some folks think...lol Love these types of videos btw.
The Believe beauty tinted eye primer has been life changing for me! It’s all I buy now and not because of the price. Covers my eye darkness and my shadow lasts all day. I’m having a hard time finding it in stock lately tho 😢

I live in Canada, but have been crossing the border to shop for over a decade and Dollar General is by far one of the best discoveries my Mom and I ever made, especially the beauty section for me! I love these videos from you 🥰. I’ve been liking the La colors bronzer in “beachy “ although I get it at five below . Edit - I like that pomade too (there’s only 2 shades) Soft brown and dark brown .
I bought some cheap pallets from MUA and man was i blown away! Plus i get so many compliments when i wear them..i actually decluttered some of my ND minis cuz i liked the MUA ones better! (Mostly the shimmers i like better ND has pretty standard metallics in the older minis and the MUA shimmers are sparkly and opaque! )
My dollar tree has a line of la colors nude lip liners. They're retractable and so good!! They always have them and they'll be on a cardboard display with their good liquid blushes and glosses. I love la colors!
Appreciate these videos so so much!!... I can't afford an Ulta haul currently but I can go to Dollar Tree and have a mini haul. I remember when the Dior glow blushes were all the rage I found a blush at Dollar Tree that I think works better (from what I have seen anyway) at DT. (Billie blush from the I believe it's called Toni collection) plus lots of great other surprises. Sometimes it's a miss but I don't mind when it's only a $1
I have the Peach blush from IONI and its great. Its a shimmer, and has major staying power. It didn't fade at the end of the day ,I was shocked AND I didn't break out,which is a major plus for me. It looks like Mars orgasm or too faced peach blush ,a complete dupe.
You inspire me to want to use my Nude palette; I bought it some time ago and used it once but I forgot how incredible it actually is; I remember those glosses (topaz and pink) from years ago when I first started dabbling in makeup; they were horrible to use back then but I am glad that they are good now; a lot of their products have had formula changes for the better over the years and I hope that trend continues because the makeup from LA Colors is so so good; even things that you might have to work a little more with give me joy because I know I can take it where I want it to be; there is always a great product if you know what to use to get it’s full potential; I swear by the Milani primer and I use it for every palette I wear; it can make shadows from even a kids makeup set look good… if you invest in anything; Milani eye primer is a great choice!! ❤ thank you for another great dollar store video; I always get excited when anyone puts me onto things I’ve overlooked and should give a try ❤

Not makeup, but I bought a $25 maxi skirt from K-Mart last summer and I always get so many compliments when I wear it. I live in an area where people wouldn’t shop in K-Mart, so they think it’s an expensive skirt. I love telling them where I bought it. 😂

I really appreciate this video and ur other DG videos. Like you said the closest Ulta to me is 30 minutes, Sephora is 1.5hours but a DG right up the road. Plus as a single mama of 2 my budget is definitely more DG
Em, I feel like we live in the same town. 2 Dollar Generals and a Walmart is it for options. Target, Ulta, bigger Walmart with a real selection, all an hour away. And I also really use and love these ultra affordable brands on a daily basis.

I just bought the $1 lip glosses. I love them! Love the colors and the texture! Also I just bought the nude eye shadow palette from L. A. Colors and I love it! It has to be a different formula than the older eye shadow palettes because I do not like the older ones. They aren’t as pigmented, they do not glide on easy or smooth or even. Love your videos Em! I have all the color ways of those LA Colors palettes that I bought years ago. I remember thinking "where's the pigment?". The colors were very inconsistent and lackluster. I want to tell you about this new lip “plumping” gloss from dollar tree. I don’t feel it plumps my lips, but I love how it goes on and the texture and how it stays on pretty well. I do have to reapply but it does stay on pretty good. It is make me up with jojoba seed oil. I think you would like it. Love ya Em! ❤😊
I love the gel lip liner; it applies easily on my dry lips and stays put. I don't feel like I need to try more expensive ones as long as I have these and the NYX pencils. I have the Nude one and the shade Fetching. I'm keeping my eye out for a more rosy/mauve shade. I bought the Topaz gloss and like the formula. I find it to be a tad frosty on its own, but yes, it looks great as a topper/highlighter. I would definitely try other shades and L.A. Colors items, but they are frequently out of stock at the DG near me. Thank you for the post, a lovely finished look.
That Topaz lip gloss reminds me of Clinique gloss from way back 2003-ish. I think it was Sunset (can’t remember if it was sunset strip or just Sunset.) My all time favorite gloss. I haven’t checked in quite some time if they un-retired it. But man such good Hawaiian memories. And that eye palette is beautiful. Loved the entire look.
I have all of those eyeshadow palettes. I was very impressed by them. Their holiday ones were even better. haven't seen them around in a few years. Very good for a one-two-three look. I like how there are highlighters in each palette.
Lip combos: I have been obsessed with the Maybelline vinyl ink but after I put a thin layer on my lips I have been topping it with beautiful shimmery shadows (mostly from my Huda pallets). It sets the lips and stays all day and the combinations are infinite. I have been obsessed.

I have two of those la colors liquid blushes. It is so freaking good! And I have Pat McGrath, nars, Natasha denona, etc. I get so much bang for my buck with la colors blush! Also the yellow and brown eyeshadow pallet is sooo good! Makes my green eyes pop!
Those blush creams are great and I got them for a buck...I use them off my hand like you but with a sponge and it's easier to control. My random pick is the makeup remover cloths at Dollar Tree---I cut them in half, use one half to apply toner and the other half wrapped around my finger as a substitute for a powder puff--work great and easy to wash/re-use.

Dollar general is the most accessible store where I live in TN. I can literally walk to one and I love finding things there. I’ve had DG finds work 10x better than things I’ve picked up from Ulta. It hurt so much more because I also had to waste the gas 😂

I have a couple of lipsticks, lip gloss and a lip oil from dollar tree I like better than my dior products. The packaging is crazy cheap so it stays in my makeup drawer(would break easily) but I use it almost daily. I like the shades of my wet and wild glosses better than high end as well

I live in a small town. We have a Walmart, Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Store, and Dollar General. Until now, we've only had a McDonald's and Subway for fast food. Now, we're getting a Taco Bell. We have 3 gas stations. And a few diners and bars. I live beside the police station, the library, a bowling alley, a couple of banks, and a pharmacy. I'm not sure what our population is, but we have the basics. I use a lot of products from LA Colors. Nobody ever talks about that brand, ever. Its rare. I have multiple eyeshadow palettes from La Colors and most of them are my favorites.

I am in a total rut with my lip colors, I wear the same mauvey pink, brighter pink sort of light plum, pink nude, with the occasional red on repeat alllllll year longgggg…… I would like to branch out into some sort of season specific rusty colors, burgundy colors, slightly vampy shades but I don’t know where to start. Emily, if you would please next time you do one of these low-cost makeup videos, can you please just mention, that the makeup does not give you rashes or do anything "crazy' to your skin (unless it does), because some people think just because it's "cheap makeup" that there are dangerous ingredients in it that's going to make their skin fall off or something. I use makeup from the Dollar General & Tree all the time & have NEVER had a problem. But, you know how some folks think...lol Love these types of videos btw.

The Believe beauty tinted eye primer has been life changing for me! It’s all I buy now and not because of the price. Covers my eye darkness and my shadow lasts all day. I’m having a hard time finding it in stock lately tho 😢

I live in Canada, but have been crossing the border to shop for over a decade and Dollar General is by far one of the best discoveries my Mom and I ever made, especially the beauty section for me! My Mom passed away in 2020, so watching your videos makes me happy to know there's another DG lover out there too haha ❤😂

I love these videos from you 🥰. I’ve been liking the La colors bronzer in “beachy “ although I get it at five below . Edit - I like that pomade too (there’s only 2 shades) Soft brown and dark brown .
I bought some cheap pallets from MUA and man was i blown away! Plus i get so many compliments when i wear them..i actually decluttered some of my ND minis cuz i liked the MUA ones better! (Mostly the shimmers i like better ND has pretty standard metallics in the older minis and the MUA shimmers are sparkly and opaque! )

My dollar tree has a line of la colors nude lip liners. They're retractable and so good!! They always have them and they'll be on a cardboard display with their good liquid blushes and glosses. I love la colors!
Appreciate these videos so so much!!... I can't afford an Ulta haul currently but I can go to Dollar Tree and have a mini haul. I remember when the Dior glow blushes were all the rage I found a blush at Dollar Tree that I think works better (from what I have seen anyway) at DT. (Billie blush from the I believe it's called Toni collection) plus lots of great other surprises. Sometimes it's a miss but I don't mind when it's only a $1

I have the Peach blush from IONI and its great. Its a shimmer, and has major staying power. It didn't fade at the end of the day ,I was shocked AND I didn't break out,which is a major plus for me. It looks like Mars orgasm or too faced peach blush ,a complete dupe.

You inspire me to want to use my Nude palette; I bought it some time ago and used it once but I forgot how incredible it actually is; I remember those glosses (topaz and pink) from years ago when I first started dabbling in makeup; they were horrible to use back then but I am glad that they are good now; a lot of their products have had formula changes for the better over the years and I hope that trend continues because the makeup from LA Colors is so so good; even things that you might have to work a little more with give me joy because I know I can take it where I want it to be; there is always a great product if you know what to use to get it’s full potential; I swear by the Milani primer and I use it for every palette I wear; it can make shadows from even a kids makeup set look good… if you invest in anything; Milani eye primer is a great choice!! ❤ thank you for another great dollar store video; I always get excited when anyone puts me onto things I’ve overlooked and should give a try ❤

Not makeup, but I bought a $25 maxi skirt from K-Mart last summer and I always get so many compliments when I wear it. I live in an area where people wouldn’t shop in K-Mart, so they think it’s an expensive skirt. I love telling them where I bought it. 😂

I really appreciate this video and ur other DG videos. Like you said the closest Ulta to me is 30 minutes, Sephora is 1.5hours but a DG right up the road. Plus as a single mama of 2 my budget is definitely more DG
Em, I feel like we live in the same town. 2 Dollar Generals and a Walmart is it for options. Target, Ulta, bigger Walmart with a real selection, all an hour away. And I also really use and love these ultra affordable brands on a daily basis.
Right! And some might assume that with such an affordable price, the quality isn't great... but just like many major drugstore brands, lines like LA Colors are stepping it up! :)
I just bought the $1 lip glosses. I love them! Love the colors and the texture! Also I just bought the nude eye shadow palette from L. A. Colors and I love it! It has to be a different formula than the older eye shadow palettes because I do not like the older ones. They aren’t as pigmented, they do not glide on easy or smooth or even. Love your videos Em! I have all the color ways of those LA Colors palettes that I bought years ago. I remember thinking "where's the pigment?". The colors were very inconsistent and lackluster. After seeing your review, it's clear that they must've reformulated them so I'll have to get them again! You can't beat the price! Thanks for another wonderful video, Emily!! 😘
I want to tell you about this new lip “plumping” gloss from dollar tree. I don’t feel it plumps my lips, but I love how it goes on and the texture and how it stays on pretty well. I do have to reapply but it does stay on pretty good. It is make me up with jojoba seed oil. I think you would like it. Love ya Em! ❤😊
I love the gel lip liner; it applies easily on my dry lips and stays put. I don't feel like I need to try more expensive ones as long as I have these and the NYX pencils. I have the Nude one and the shade Fetching. I'm keeping my eye out for a more rosy/mauve shade. I bought the Topaz gloss and like the formula. I find it to be a tad frosty on its own, but yes, it looks great as a topper/highlighter. I would definitely try other shades and L.A. Colors items, but they are frequently out of stock at the DG near me. Thank you for the post, a lovely finished look.

That Topaz lip gloss reminds me of Clinique gloss from way back 2003-ish. I think it was Sunset (can’t remember if it was sunset strip or just Sunset.) My all time favorite gloss. I haven’t checked in quite some time if they un-retired it. But man such good Hawaiian memories. And that eye palette is beautiful. Loved the entire look.

I have all of those eyeshadow palettes. I was very impressed by them. Their holiday ones were even better. haven't seen them around in a few years. Very good for a one-two-three look. I like how there are highlighters in each palette.

Lip combos: I have been obsessed with the Maybelline vinyl ink but after I put a thin layer on my lips I have been topping it with beautiful shimmery shadows (mostly from my Huda pallets). It sets the lips and stays all day and the combinations are infinite. I have been obsessed.
My favorite brow product is by LA Colors. ❤ they have a good lip oil too:)

I have two of those la colors liquid blushes. It is so freaking good! And I have Pat McGrath, nars, Natasha denona, etc. I get so much bang for my buck with la colors blush! Also the yellow and brown eyeshadow pallet is sooo good! Makes my green eyes pop!

Those blush creams are great and I got them for a buck...I use them off my hand like you but with a sponge and it's easier to control. My random pick is the makeup remover cloths at Dollar Tree---I cut them in half, use one half to apply toner and the other half wrapped around my finger as a substitute for a powder puff--work great and easy to wash/re-use.

Dollar general is the most accessible store where I live in TN. I can literally walk to one and I love finding things there. I’ve had DG finds work 10x better than things I’ve picked up from Ulta. It hurt so much more because I also had to waste the gas 😂

I have a couple of lipsticks, lip gloss and a lip oil from dollar tree I like better than my dior products. The packaging is crazy cheap so it stays in my makeup drawer(would break easily) but I use it almost daily.
I like the shades of my wet and wild glosses better than high end as well

I live in a small town. We have a Walmart, Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Store, and Dollar General. Until now, we've only had a McDonald's and Subway for fast food. Now, we're getting a Taco Bell. We have 3 gas stations. And a few diners and bars. I live beside the police station, the library, a bowling alley, a couple of banks, and a pharmacy. I'm not sure what our population is, but we have the basics. I use a lot of products from LA Colors. Nobody ever talks about that brand, ever. Its rare. I have multiple eyeshadow palettes from La Colors and most of them are my favorites.
