*Important!* So after wearing that new "waterproof" Milani eyeliner some more, I noticed smudging. I tested it on my hand just to see how much water it could withstand.... the result was not impressive at all. It's apparently not quite the same as it once was. I thought it might actually be better with the actual Waterproof name, but I was wrong! Just wanted to make sure you knew!
I wonder if the non-waterproof one is better? That would be interesting! 😮

Have you tried the Maybelline gel liners. The really skinny ones in the pink pencil? I get really oily around my eyes and have a lot of smudging, but those stay put. I'd recommend them.

I think that is why most people avoid it? I normally like to stick to the stuff I love until I notice it either doesn’t exist anymore or if it doesn’t work anymore.
@@simplyevelynco At least it gives a heads up to a repeat buyer that the product they're going to buy is reformulated and may not work as expected, especially in places where you can't return stuff and that product isn't cheap.
Emily I am always in awe of how you remember makeup you have used before. You are like an encyclopedia of makeup! I love anytime you come up in my feed and I always feel like I should have a cup of coffee when I watch your video, regardless of the time of day or night. BTW, love the eye look!
Elf cream contour/bronzer palette is my favorite. I wish they would do a cream blush palette as well. If you could still mix and match you could have 2 bronzer and 2 blushes for travel. Heck even do a cream highlighter palette. I love multi tasking too Em!!
Given the popularity of all the cream stuff, I could see these making a comeback!
Elf used to have a cream blush palette, but that was circa 2015? Maybe 2017...it's been awhile.
I love a blush pallette. I am liking these also for my eyeshadow as well. There are colors I can't find in eyeshadow.

You can definitely tell what’s trending on social media going to the Wal-Marts around me because they’ll be out of the viral products😅Back when Milani’s Color Fetish Matte Lipsticks came out you couldn’t find them anywhere, but I actually didn’t end up liking them anyway. I’m very hooked on Revelon lipsticks and am slowly building a collection of all shades that interest me💜
My classic favourite Revlon shade is Rose velvet and my new favorite is Bare Affair!

Sneaking suspicion about Milani, those are Jordana formulas slightly tweaked which they are repackaging under the Milani brand right now. How else would one explain the sudden downturn in their current eyeshadow formulas before the pandemic?
I love Revlon lipsticks. For some reason the drugstores by us tend to not restock often. I have to go to Ulta to get my fix now. I have been wearing them for over 40 years and they are some of the best lipsticks even over the expensive brands. Certainly Red is on fav.

I remember the ELF quad that was a silver packaging. I LOVED it!! I THINK it had a blush (or maybe 2) w/something like either a setting powder or highlight (not sure which) & a shade that looked like a bronzer that I REALLY enjoyed on my fair skintone.

I so look forward to these videos, especially when it’s drugstore goodies! I love that you let your girls have some age-appropriate fun with makeup. I let my daughter play with it so she would learn to use it correctly and tastefully. It drove some females my family nuts, but what was the harm? It’s just makeup and washes off.
I think this is a great strategy!
They know they are allowed to use it, so they are not taking your stuff without your consent, and later in life they will know how to apply it, and most importantly tastefully (as you said) it’s so sad seeing teenagers that look closer to a clown than to a beautified version of themselves.
My cousin did the same with her daughter. It really helped her hand-eye coordination as well as being fun for everyone! (Since she would of course do our makeup too)
I still have my OG blush palette from ELF and use it every week! I know they used to have a light and a dark version, not sure if they still make two color stories, but if you had the darker original palette that could explain why you don’t remember the colors looking like this newest version. I love to see what is loved repurchased. I have shade Natural in the lipliner and it’s a nice very light nude for my tiny lips but I do use Nude more often. Of course a purchase from your recommendation. Slay the day! Love you! ❤

I watched some of your last video with the 6 y/o I babysit. She doesn't watch very much UA-cam (it was the end of a long day and i was fixing dinner) and she was transfixed! She has a play set of makeup and I'm sure will be playing with it more, I bet she will talk about your video and want to play with it more next time I watch her. At one point she asked "is she REAL?" And it was so cool to tell her yeah, you're a mommy and this is your job. And that I've been watching you for a loooong time 😂 She loved when the kitty was walking around in the background too! ❤❤❤
I have accidentally bought some lip liners that had a metallic finish and I have never understood why anyone would want that in a lip liner, but I made it work by using a matte lip liner and then used the metallic lip liner to fill in the lip and then a gloss on top and MAN, did it last!!!
I have found that the Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter also pairs nicely with the Wet and Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator.

Omg the elf blush compacts!! I have four, all with the original packaging (cream and powder blushes, each one in light and dark color ways). Your new one looks a lot like the original Light powder blush palette. I love the giant mirror from the original packaging. I really hope elf remarkets these 4 square pallettes - and puts the mirror back in!

Hey Emily! Reformulations are so common now, it's the reason I save the packaging that shows the ingredients listings. And I put a sticker dot on the packaging and on the compact/container itself, marked with the date I first opened the product. I watch safety/expiration dates pretty closely, and always before I use a product I haven't used in awhile. Luck and science are sometimes battling it out on my face, and sometimes my rosacea-reactive sensitive skin has a mood, and I can't tell if it's because of a new product or if it's just needing a facial and maybe a day or two of rest with nothing but SPF on it. Love this video, and your drugstore focus is always appreciated!
I think powder eyeshadows & Blush will last longer than the recommended shelf life of l think some say 24 months. ??

I have the original elf powder blush palette. The shades in your palette are the same as mine. I bought mine on clearance at Walgreens about 2ish years ago and you can push them out from the back but i never noticed until you just said that. I used it all the time until I became blush obsessed and my collection expanded.

I have tons of lipliners, drugstore and high end, and those Revlon Colorstay liners are truly the best shades, application, and staying power. Love you! ❤
Revlon does not putter around with their lip products. Disregarding all those cruelty-free, paraben-free, vegan, whatever approved hoo-ha that's been promoted to hell and back by certain people and their sheep Revlon lip products blows them out of the water EVERY TIME. Their other products are a gamble at best and garbage at worst for me though. Their eyeshadows and mascara have been on the downturn since the millennium changed.😔
You are correct about the ELF blush palette. I have the other 2 with the pop out feature. I really have enjoyed the Maybelline long lasting powder. Lasts all day.

I have the 4 in 1 glow & the W&W tinted moisturizer!! Going to try that today 😊 Elf hydrating concealer didn’t work for me at all, so few concealers work for my undereye! It Cosmetics ByeBye Under Eye is my most reliable choice. And the waterproofing is handy for this heat

I get nervous if I don't have a back up of the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator because I use it every day!! I might have to pick up the Elf blush palette. I finally decluttered mine because I've had it for SO long!
Lip Smackers makes little princess eye shadows and nail polishes that all wash off with water. Great for littles that want to get ready with mom!

I know you have talked about the serums and micellar water. I’m having a hard time with sunscreens and moisturizers. They either pill or are sticky or don’t look good. I need help 😬
