I have used pattern analysis to manage projects with great success.
Yes, very valuable BUT: as many have studied and noted,, the human brain is a pattern seeking machine. refer, for example, to Kahneman’s book “Thinking Fast and Slow.”Thus, we are sometimes able to delude ourselves into seeing patterns where there really is only noise. A simple example is seeing Jesus in a piece of toast. But there are many more complex examples where perceiving patterns where there really were none has led to issues. I don’t mean to diminish the importance of pattern seeking, but only to say that confirmation is key.

I mean now, everyone avoid pattern and cannot reach clear pattern like before, but some close pattern ratio not clear can be gathering information and help to adjust your goal

I change my training and plane and adjust a lot, to avoid following up and interference to my activities or goal
Very useful for risk and behaviour calculation. If a person changes behaviour all of a sudden, is it worth investigating or not? How much are they outside their comfort zone? Did they react the same way last time? Is it a normal reaction to a (minor) disturbance, and can I continue to allocate resources somewhere else - or not?

I don't want to be a downer....but....i would say lots of people have overall zero confidence in this. Possibly bc your ''analysts" have missed every single major development in the past 20+ years or so... Maybe if they knew how to math better or something?
