Hello and welcome to Aviation Buff. Today we are featuring B-52H Stratofortress. The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American long-range, subsonic, jet-powered strategic bomber. The B-52 was designed and built by Boeing, which has continued to provide support and upgrades. It has been operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) since the 1950s. A veteran of several wars, the B-52 has dropped only conventional munitions in combat. The B-52's official name Stratofortress is rarely used; informally, the aircraft has become commonly referred to as the BUFF (Big Ugly Fat Fucker/Fella).

The heaviest payload of any bomber ever built was the 10 engine B-36, @ 86,000 lbs.

If I am not mistaken, the island is under British ownership. The bomber was the Vulcan training for Falklands conflict.
It’s a B-52 and the island is Farallon De Medinilla which is part of the Northern Mariana under the US

Among some old training videos was footage of the release of all the rack mounted 500 pounders, the turbulence from all the freedom being released at once caused the last few to bounce around like crazy inside the bay before flinging out.
Don’t know if that was fixed or not but some of the other weapon release test footage of other aircraft was interesting to say the least.
I believe technical improvement are carried out over time Sir, and as you said, more modern warfare techniques are adopted for the Bombers as well. This is indeed one of the old video, but weapon release footage (like this) we dont see so often these days.
